I think you've pretty much answered my question, but don't think you saw it, so just in case:

Raphaele - I should get an entry in this week sometime soon :) I want to go for inhalation, but I've got a quick question; are you looking to see just air intakes, or are radiator/cooling inlets allowed too?

Final Entry

I don't really want to start off everyone asking if theirs is OK, but I'm not sure if mine is "close-up enough". It doesn't have the whole car in view yet it isn't just an exhaust or just an air intake. Sorry for the hassle Raph...:nervous:

FINAL ENTRY - CHANGED - INHALATION

If this doesn't fit the theme closely enough, I will change it back to the Zonda

You are right. Entrants who cannot read the theme may fail the poll:

Further explanation of the theme, provided by Raphaele:

"Inhalation versus exhalation.
A combustion engine of an automobile breathes.
Capture the typical organs for intake or exhaust in an unexpected manner.
It's going to be a H2H close-up week!"

CARS: Any (or none) ("none": I did not say that)
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Focus has to be on intake or exhaust systems/parts of the car
------

Go for it.
Time is on your side!
is this good or do i have to change it
Final Entry
Inhalation

does this count or should i change it

Competition Guidelines
...in an unexpected manner...
I think yours is alright, f1_stig (I actually think it's brilliant). I'm not sure whether Ferrari 458's is properly eligible, though. I don't think that the judge is just looking for a shot of the front of the car.

Sorry for late reply rpanico14:
Indeed, an engine's breathing works with carburators, fuel injection systems and intake manifold. The cooling system is just another thing, though essential.

..

Ferrari_458, the closer your photography gets to the subject of your choice, the closer you will fit the theme.
It's going to be a H2H close-up week!

What is a close-up?

Judging on this, I would change it, although I've just remembered I've already used my change, so I'll just leave it as is, and leave it up to Raph

Sorry, but the rules say:
You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.

What is a close-up?
so, once again, is mine within the rules?

What is Exif data?

Exif data is a record of the settings a camera used to take a photo or video. This information is embedded into the files the camera saves, and we read and display it here.

Clarification please. Simply one more that just has to "open" the images he/she is considering to enter in an image viewing/editing program? Can't this be done in another way if so is the case?

Sorry if I'm mistaken, and excuse the extremely suspicious nature of this post. :guilty:

Hope this is legal.

FINAL ENTRY

Doubt it will get into the poll though.

EDIT: Forgot to add Final entry. :ouch:
