I did the exact same thing! It's like when you stare at it for so long, it starts to look more and more awesome. But having fresh eyes on it makes you realise it isn't all that good. I'm no longer pleased with my entry, and I know with 100% certainty that Mitch will annihilate me in the poll.

There's always next time I guess

I always try things at X1 an then take my shots at X2. But enter them at large size, not X2 just because most people probably won't take the time to look at all of the detail on a small monitor. Most people don;t bother to zoom in regardless.

I don´t see any reason to do so unless you have a Flickr Pro Account.

Well, I do try to. I did take 4 shots in x2 which I intended to use in the tourney, but then I chose a shot which wasn't one of those 4 after thinking for a while.

I have a shot I've edited and am reasonably happy with, I'm just going to view it over several different monitors before sending off. Doubt it's a rpanico beating image though. Best of luck to you too.

For this comp I took my photo at x2, but I do the same as Jason B and set everything up in x1, otherwise it'll take me an hour or so to take 3 or 4 photos
