Sorry guys...
Season 3 has been terminated.
I have completely lost patience for this "simulator" and will not be starting this any time soon.
Too many network issues, bad physics and other reasons.
I spent a lot of time working on a formula for this season only to be told just before launch
that adding weight to the GT300 cars actually increases their performance.
That has screwed everything i have been working on.
Funny really, because in real life - the GT300 series actually add weight as the series progresses. Not this case in this "true to life" simulator.
Read the write ups on the GT300 cars in GT6, it even tells you about the weight, yet when you try to replicate this, major failure....
Weight penalties for podium finishes and poor driving penalties were a massive part of this season and I will not be starting over again.
Polyphony Digital have lost yet another devoted supporter (myself) due to, well, just a poor
addition to the GT franchise (GT6). (I can't believe I lasted this long TBH)
Way to much focus has been put on the Vision cars. The latest SRT addition is completely crazy, not realistic at all.
Polyphony Digital - if you are reading this, screw you...
I paid a premium for this game just to be left feeling disappointed, something i have not felt in the history of GT - and i have been on the journey since the start when GT1 was released.
More than 18 months on after GT6 was released and still no track builder. I am tired of something that is meant to be fun - feeling like an unrealistic excuse for "this is the only racing sim that i own" - so i dealt with it.
Up yours... I have waited far too long than i should have and put up with all the bugs and crap that comes with this game/simulator.
Too many updates that are not needed (vision cars), bugs, crashes, Hard drive space, blah blah blah... and the list goes on.
Thanks to everyone who raced in the previous 2 seasons, it was fun while it lasted.
Great bunch of guys and racers. See you on the other side.
Some of you may know by now that I will be signing up to iRacing soon....
Let me make this very clear, this is not the reason I am saying goodbye to GT6, I am saying goodbye to it for competition because it is rubbish for consistency. I am also tired of hearing other people complain about it.
I will see out the rest of Slotrunner's season in the group C cars and then that is the end for me.
Cheers, Gastro.
