Clutch on controller?

I've had this strange idea swimming in my head for some time now. since we choose Automatic/Manual transmission, why not include a clutch with the manual transmission option in GT6?

I can imagine using the L2 button for that while shifting with R1/R2

Personally I would rather not have it on a controller but if they were to add it would be fine so long as it is optional and they don't give you some artificial advantage for using it the way Forza has in the last 2 releases.

Auto clutch system is going to be faster than manual, plus there should be a chance of missing a shift and/or blowing an engine when trying to shift very fast with a manual clutch.

The old D1 GP PS2 games have it, and it was awesome, GT6 must have it too, so I can at least do clutch kick.

thats what would make it more fun to play lol. i hate autostick, so lame id rather drive automatic.
