Thanks for the advice, I really couldn't get pictures to come out right with out using the Cross Processing filter, I did try a few with some higher EV and I think they do look better. I think the reason I didn't do it at first is because I thought the pictures looked a little overexposed when I turned the EV up higher. I'm just really starting to learn how to use the camera and I am still experimenting, trying to get the best pictures I can.
