This is the second week of college football. You all are ready for another semester of college football at "GTPlanet University."

--- Last Week... ---

Fallout From Ann Arbor
Wolverine Nation suffered a serious heart attack as Appalachian State did what very few lower-tier teams could do- beat a National Power at their house. Appalachian State seats about 16,650 at their stadium while Michigan seats 107,501. Those 107,501 (and more) were all heartbroken as Appalachian State got it done in Ann Arbor. I hear that Appalachian State is preparing to play Louisiana State and Florida in the future. For all I know, Appalachian State could play Ohio State or even Tennessee and try to beat them. Speaking of Tennessee...

California Starts Strong
The Bay Area boys are looking great after their win over Tennessee. The Golden Bears are looking golden as they try to keep a good thing going.

Florida, Louisville, Penn State, and Rutgers Among MANY Schools with Strong Starts
The biggest blowout of these schools was Louisville turning Murray State into Papa John's Pizza. The 'Ville is beating people down as usual. Florida blasted Western Kentucky real bad. The Nittany Lions took care of Florida International and whacked them right back to Miami. Rutgers wasn't in a rut. After years of lethargy, Rutgers is reborn. They weren't the only ones to start strong.

One game is on the docket for today. So get ready for some college football as two historically-black universities will have at it.

EXTRA: Disappointing Loss or Upset? Why I Said it Was an Upset and Not a Disappointing Loss
Appalachian State's win over Michigan was shocking. Here's my criteria for upsets and disappionting losses. Disappointing losses relate to teams the eventual loser could easily blow away even with their eyes closed. Upset means a highly unfavored team ends up winning. This was an upset for the simple fact that Appalachian State is an incredible FCS team. It's why I try to focus on a variety of schools and not ESPN some lower schools. In other words, I don't simply concentrate on just namely BCS schools in the FBS. I try to focus on as many teams as possible. The same goes for my basketball reports. Don't short-change any lower-tier teams. Appalachian State simply shocked and stunned Michigan at their house. VERY few lower teams can do this at the homes of BCS schools. This would be a disappointing loss if Michigan took on teams like any of the following 1-AA/FCS teams: Savannah State, La Salle, Indiana State, Southeast Louisiana, Jacksonville, Texas Southern (Houston's own), or anybody like that. Michigan's win over this team wouldn't count in BCS rankings. However, Michigan's loss to the Mountaineers WILL count. It doesn't mean that Michigan's season is over. It's just the first game of the season. There's plenty of time to make up. I still think Michigan's going to a Bowl Game. It is just a matter of if they can keep winning and executing so that they don't end up as a college football version of the New York Yankees.

This was not a disappointing loss, then. The following example below relates to what I would consider a DISAPPOINTING LOSS:

OLD SCHOOL: 1998 Temple at 1998 Virginia Tech
On October 17, 1998, Virginia Tech were looking at an unbeaten season until they took on Temple University. Temple University were favored to lose by five touchdowns to the Hokies' offense. Temple faced a 17-point deficit and came back to win 28-24. Temple is usually the most pathetic football team other than Duke. But on this mid-October day, Fall was in its early stages. Fall wasn't just the season. It was the fall of Virginia Tech's unbeaten streak that day. Lane Stadium was in complete shock that day. This win was so huge, it was among some of the Top 20 upsets in college football history as part of ESPN Classic's "Who's Number One?" regarding college football upsets.

Black College Football Action in North Carolina
* Fayetteville State at North Carolina Central {Eagles}
Baseball players are known as the boys of Summer. You could say that football players are the boys of Fall. Someone's going to fall in this game for sure. This is a battle between two historically-black schools. North Carolina Central got some 2007 experience while Fayetteville State has none. North Carolina Central (17-0; NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL)

--- Division 2 Scores ---
Two games took place in the evening including a match involving America's first black institution of higher learning.

* Cheyney at Central State (28-22; CENTRAL STATE)
* Tuskegee at Miles (40-6; Tuskegee)

College Football Student Lounge
This is just where I'll want to chat with some of the people on GTPlanet regarding college football. Consider this a place to unwind at GTPlanet University. All of you are enrolled to just talk college football. Just make sure not to stare too long at any hot ladies that may pass by while we're chatting college football. No hitting on the GTPU cheerleaders

Kentucky Starts Strong
FoolKiller
's Wildcats are off to a great start as they continue their win streak from last season. They get Kent State next. Kent State is good, but not great. How do you like how this game ended up?

Disappointment in Minneapolis
Bowling Green State University beat Minnesota on the road. Michigan isn't heading down the tubes, but Minnesota is. This is especially how Texas Tech rallied from way back to beat Minnesota in Double Overtime in the Bowl Game they played (I forget which one).

Minnesota's Bid to Return Football Back on Campus
Continuing on with Minnesota's return to football on campus, TCF Bank Stadium is set to open in September 2009. Minnesota has been playing at the Hubert H. Humprey Metrodome since 1982. Some schematics for design of this new stadium can be seen at this link: < http://www1.umn.edu/stadium/stadium.php >. It looks like a beautiful stadium for Minnesota to play ball in at.

Concern in South Bend
Notre Dame were denied the end zone thanks to the defensive prowess of Georgia Tech. Either that, or the lack of offensive punch by Notre Dame. Charlie Weis had no idea of who would be the head man under center for the Fighting Irish. This game felt more like an NFL Preseason game for Notre Dame since they rotated quarterbacks.

You're always free to continue these discussions.

Happy Labor Day to all of you! Some football action took place to day. Let me key you in on the games.

No Severe Weather Expected, but a Chance of Thunder and Lighting is Possible
* #19 Florida State at Clemson --- Bowden Bowl IX ---
Who says that college football can't have as exciting of games than Monday Night Football with the NFL? You won't have the tandem of Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Tony Kornheiser; but you will get the ESPN tandem of Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge. This is primetime football at its best coming from Clemson's Death Valley. It's a battle between two former National Champions. It's a battle between a father and son. It's a game that can only be called the Bowden Bowl. There's nothing like primetime football between two good teams. Let's meet the two teams starting with Clemson. James Davis is Thunder while C.J. Spiller is Lightning. Clemson won the National Championship in 1981. Today's Clemson may not be the '81 crew, but the Tigers can't wait to add another National Championship someday. There were some disappointed fans as Clemson would lose the Music City Bowl to a resurgent Kentucky in (almost) a blowout. For Clemson, this IS a National Championship game when one Bowden goes against another Bowden. Their opponents are Florida State. The capital of Florida is Tallahassee. That's where you'll find Florida State University as well as Florida A&M University (the only historically-black school to win the National Championship (1978)). Florida State's primary color is the same as my birthstone- Garnet. Last year's Florida State wasn't all that good. They only had a winning record because they beat UCLA in the Emerald Bowl in beautiful San Francisco. The Seminoles know they aren't the second coming of the 1999 Florida State Seminoles. However, they hope Drew Weatherford can be the field general for the Seminoles as they try to have a great season. Florida State will come out in all-white for the first time since 1988. Who will win Bowden Bowl IX? Let's find out. Clemson will touch Howard's Rock and hope to come through winners.

Clemson drew first blood against against Florida State on a very nice touchdown pass. The orange-clad crowd erupted with 6:07 left in the First Quarter. Clemson led 7-0 after you pat on the PAT. It must have been Clemson's birthday because they'd get a birthday present from Florida State by forcing a fumble around 5:05 left in the 1st. At 4:53 left in the 1st Quarter, James Davis cashed in a great touchdown after a False Start. James Davis shows that he's worth the price of admission along with C.J. Spiller. That touchdown run by Davis was super scintillating sensational (in the words of Dick Vitale). The 1st Quarter ended as purple and orange dominated the scoreboards. * Aaron Kelly broke one and took her to the house two minutes into the 2nd Quarter. So Clemson leads 21-0. Florida State has only a First Down before Clemson kicked off from their 30. Very un-Seminole-like. Is that a word? Just checking... Seminole-like is being notorious for bad field goal kickers. Not this time. The Seminoles are on the board after a Florida State field goal with about 4:39 left in the First Half. The half ended with Clemson leading 24-3. *** Florida State would get a safety later in the Third Quarter. Florida State would seem to get a touchdown without anything extra. They DID get a touchdown with 11:40 left in the game. They got themselves to 17. Plus the PAT, make it 24-18. And all of a sudden, Clemson's favorite breed of feline was down by only 6. Clemson's stumbled a bit as Florida State looks to regain their competitive fire as they've driven the ball down the field. Clemson put the clamps down around 2:24 left in the game. Weatherford was sacked twice(?) in their potentially leading drive. And in the end, Clemson stood tall and picked up a huge win at home doing Howard's Rock well. Give credit to FlSU for coming back, but it was too little too late and just exceptional play by Clemson. (28-14; CLEMSON) *** upset and disappointing loss nominee ***

EXTRA: Clemson or LSU? The Real Death Valley
Clemson's "Death Valley." But so is LSU. Both places are tough to play at. Who would you call the real Death Valley? I would say that Louisiana State University is VERY tough to play at because LSU is usually a great team year after year. The SEC is football. You got some big, nasty dudes and hard-nosed footballers that play in the SEC. The ACC is a very deep conference itself, and Clemson is perhaps the toughest SEC place to play unless you're talking about Miami or maybe even Boston College. It's tough to play in either stadium. It may be safe to say both are Death Valley. Most people (myself included) will usually think LSU is the true Death Valley as opposed to the rough and tough Clemson.

Big "D" Has a Big Shootout in Texas... One Team Didn't Have Enough "D" to Win
* Texas Tech {Red Raiders} at SMU {Mustangs}
Welcome to Dallas, Texas. We got a big match between two Texas schools. We have Texas Tech of Lubbock heading to Dallas to meet SMU. Let's Meet TTU first. Texas Tech University is home to the boys who wear bright red. They'll be in their white jerseys as the Away team. The Red Raiders are more than willing to head south to beat SMU. I've personally never been to Dallas. Farthest north I've been has been the beautiful city of Kerrville in the Texas Hill Country. The area around Dallas is where you can see the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys (with that brand-new stadium in the future), F.C. Dallas, the Dallas Stars, and the Dallas Mavericks among most major sports teams. The city of Dallas has Southern Methodist University. They've had some great history in football, but today's SMU is a team that has yet to truly find its stride. The Mustangs are ready to meet a bunch of red and black boys. SMU would only get two field goals while Texas Tech picked up about 21 points as the First Half ended. In the end, SMU gets turned over three times and denied the end zone all day in Dallas. Texas Tech coasts to a win as they return home to Lubbock VERY happy. (49-9; Texas Tech)

SIDE NOTE:
One of the SMU Mustangs can bench press 565 pounds! I'm mostly a skinny and frail dude, so I probably won't bench very much. I always think of myself of being more of a basketball kind of guy in build and in capability. Not a lot can bench 300, let alone 565.

Pontiac Game Changing Performance Nominees Announced
Virginia Tech - Boston College - California - Appalachian State

Something I'm going to try this year is to vote for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance each week and maybe get to

College Action Carry Into Other Sports and Life
Monday Night RAW was live from THE Ohio State University. The opening match was for the Intercontinental Championship between Jeff Hardy and Umaga. Announcer Jim Ross referred to Jeff Hardy as being able to "pull an Appalachian State on Umaga in Umaga's Big House." I don't know if the OhSU fans would like this comment from Jim Ross, an Oklahoma University graduate. Guess who won this match? Jeff Hardy by pin fall. And where is Jeff Hardy from? Cameron, North Carolina.

Flip-Flop Health Issue
Houston's ABC affiliate, Channel 13, had a health report on if thong sandals (or better known as flip-flops) pose a health risk. The report indicated that flip-flops don't make very good everyday shoes. The lack of cushioning could lead to potential heel and ankle damage during longer times. Doctors recommend having these shoes as alternative footwear and simply wear more traditional footwear. Girls have a variety of options, but most of us guys usually go with tennis shoes and stuff like that. The other more popular shoes are the love-or-hate Crocs-style clogs or even slip-on sneakers in the form of Vans slip-on sneakers.

Could the Eighth Wonder of the World be Torn Down?
I'm talking about the Houston Astrodome. Some tax payer dollars were being sapped by the Astrodome's existance. The Astrodome has long been a fixture of Houston sports. Reports from some people say that the Astrodome is decaying and smells bad. I don't know what will be done, but I surely hope something can be done to renovate the Astrodome rather than see it go down.

And that would be all.

Here's a quick note I like to share.

The voters have spoken... and here are the results. The University of Michigan dropped from 5th to 32nd in the AP polls. It's the first time a team dropped all the way from 5th to outside of the Top 25. ESPNEWS would later confirm that Michigan's fall from grace is the first time a team has gone from Top 5 to unranked in one week since 1968. Joey D... looks like your blue and maize are continually getting grilled by the college football fans-at-large. What is the mood like over in Wolverine Nation? And do you think people are taking this loss too seriously or going too far with this?

Florida International hasn't seriously broken out in my view. Florida's other Sun Belt team is usually better on the field- Florida Atlantic. The Boca Raton outfit actually knocked off Hawaii in their first year. In FIU's own division, they have to contend with the likes of Troy, Middle Tennessee State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and even Arkansas State. It's going to be tough for the Golden Panthers to really shine.

BB&T Bank and Wake Forest Come to Terms
There's a 10-year deal between Wake Forest University and BB&T Bank to sponsor the stadium. Since 1968, Groves Stadium(?) has been the home field for the black and gold of Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons will call their football home as BB&T Bank Stadium at Wake Forest University starting next season.

EXTRA: Is the Sun Belt Overlooked and Forgotten?
You hear of a lot of non-BCS conferences. The MAC is usually seen as the Missouri Valley of FBS. The Mountain West has a lot of talent. Conference USA is a competitive conference in its own right. But then... the Sun Belt is that bottomfeeder Bowl Subdivision conference. But is it really that bad? I usually say that the Sun Belt is sort of a borderline conference of FBS and FCS. I usually think they are teams not really up to par with larger non-BCS conferences, but certainly above FCS teams. With Western Kentucky adding spice to the Sun Belt, the Sun Belt just doesn't really get any love even if they aren't the best conference in Bowl Subdivison. There was some Sun Belt mentioning as Arkansas State almost upset Texas. I don't think this year's Texas Longhorns are like the Longhorns when a guy by the name of... Vince Young was under center. We have a Sun Belt team here in Texas- the University of North Texas. Even the Mean Green are pretty terrible (used to be a good team).

Only four schools are in the Sun Belt that don't have football programs: the University of South Alabama (even though there is Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile), the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, the University of New Orleans, and Denver University (or University of Denver). Tell you this. If Arkansas State beat Texas, maybe the Sun Belt would be mentioned a bit more in circles.

Got some college sports action this Thursday. So you all come back here when my report is done, alright?

These scores are dedicated to the loving memory of L. Pavarotti. He was one of the best in classical music. I never heard his music until looking at a YouTube video at school. Speaking of which, I'll get to something I was able to test drive for the first time. You'll find out what it is later in this report.

I would like to feature two Football Bowl Subdivision games. I'll label them as Fire and Ice. You'll see why when you get to read the reports. Fire. What would you think of? A torch? Warmth from the cold? Putting fire wood to good use? How about lighting up a pack of Kingsford charcoal for you tailgating folks? Maybe even a smoking hot babe? Now think ice. What do you think? Cold? Barrow, Alaska? Snowflakes? A cold shower? A cold beer? Summer is unofficially over by virtue of Labor Day's passing. The two feature FBS games showcase Fire and Ice. What side will YOU stand on? Get ready. Reports a-comin'!

FIRE: Defense is Overrated! Run What'Cha Brung, Baby!
* Middle Tennessee State {Blue Raiders} at #8 Louisville {Cardinals}
Murray State got thrashed by Louisville last week. Before Louisville prepares for the most important game of their lives next week in Lexington, they have Middle Tennessee State to worry about. I'll get to the 'Ville first. Louisville is often known as the Derby City. You can try to go all out to try to win the Kentucky Derby. Or, you can play for the University of Louisville. One of the biggest satisfactions for most Cardinals is the ability to to show the University of Kentucky who the better school is (in Louisville's terms) in the Bluegrass State. I don't know my horses, but I wonder if there are any race horses that have any lineage to Louisville or Cardinals? Funny I mention horses... because that's part of Middle Tennessee State's logo. Middle Tennessee State represents the FBS' most underappreciated team. Middle Tennessee State's glory has somewhat been in football and women's basketball. The clear power of Sun Belt basketball is Western Kentucky. MTSU can be found in the city of Murfreesboro. Believe it or not, Middle Tennessee State has a higher enrollment than... believe it or not... the University of Tennessee. Over 22,000 or so can be enrolled at MTSU. That's about as many people as it takes to fill up Kentucky's Rupp Arena. The Blue Raiders know what they got themselves into. This is basically a game where Louisville runs up the score so they can send a message to Kentucky next week. Let's get it, boys and girls!

The First Half ended like a BASKETBALL game! Louisville led 38-35. Yes. MTSU closing the gap to Louisville. That's why the 45K or so at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium weren't as happy about their Cardinals because they let a lower team close the gap on them. Normality was restored as the Second Half unfolded. MTSU gets blanked in the Third... but first play in the 4th Quarter... MTSU runs her to the house. The PAT got it to a 51-42 game. Most college basketball games have a score like this. I'm almost convinced this is Arena Football for traditional football! This was an offensive shootout. Not many people expeceted MTSU to play at Louisville's level and have a little basketball match on grass. MTSU probably can't beat Louisville in baskketball In the end, Louisville's lead seemed completely insurmountable. Kentucky? You're next. (58-42; #8 LOUISVILLE)

CONGRATULATIONS! - Anthony Allen (Louisville)
Mr. Allen got himself the school record for most rushing yards in a single game in Louisville history 275 yards.

ICE: Cincy Ready to Get Down
* Oregon State {Beavers} at Cincinnati {Bearcats}
You have to go through northern Kentucky before you can land in Cincinnati by air. The Cincinnati Bengals are ready to go. You came here for football, but this is COLLEGE football. And we got a former national champion playing at home against some rodents from the Pacific Northwest. Let's meet the West Coast boys. The city of Corvalis, OR is home to Oregon State University. Their Civil War opponents (Oregon) will be at Michigan to maybe screw Michigan over even more this Saturday. Oregon State's shown their strength in baseball recently. The Beavers are ready to make some noise in Cincy. Now on to the home team. The University of Cincinnati plays at a wonderful stadium called Nippert Stadium. Cincinnati is where you can see a number of sporting events including Bengals football and Reds baseball. If Xavier University had a football team, Cincinnati and Xavier's crosstown basketball rivalry would transcend into football. Cincinnati/Xavier is like Houston/Rice. The Bearcats proudly wear their black and red against a host of opposition. The former Conference USA school now plays in the Big East. Their stock can only rise. But is an initial investment in a Bearcat win a bad business decision? Let's find out.

Louisville/MTSU was hot on offense. The offense for the First Half of this game? Cold. Colder than Antartica. Both sides were looking at a baseball deadlock of 3-3. The second half started out with Cincinatti pressing the advantage and pulling away. Then, Cincy REALLY pulled away. Haruki Nakamura had 6 tackles and 2 interceptions for Cincinnati. Cincinnati literally grabbed Oregon State and choked the life out of them in the Second Half. Bearcats get seven turnovers in their beatdown of Oregon State. Cincy rolls to a victory! (34-3; CINCINNATI)

EXTRA: Should Football Championship Subdivision Teams Get AP Voting?
Michigan's become the laughing stock of some college football fans. People in Columbus, OH (guess which major school is based there) are buying Appalachian State merchandise. Michael Wilbon of "Pardon the Interruption" said that there's a 75% chance Oregon will beat Michigan. He hates Michigan. Some people are still astounded at how Appalachian State came into the Big House and beat Michigan straight-up. This, all to the teeth-gritting anger of GTP's Joey D. After Appalachian State's upset of Michigan, the Mountaineers may have started something. Just ask the Associated Press. The Associated Press is allowing for lower division schools to get some AP poll love. The AP claims that this is to show that FCS teams can compete against FBS schools. Remember last year? Montana State beat Colorado on the road. I mentioned Michael Wilbon. Well, New Hampshire (one of my favorite FCS teams) went on the road to beat Northwestern (Wilbon's alma mater). Soon as you know it, there may be even field for all... just like in college basketball. The disparity among big and small schools won't seem to mean much if we keep having these FCS upsets of FBS teams.

Come and Get Some Soul Food! SWAC Action Unfolds Among Two Historically-Black Universities
* Arkansas-Pine Bluff {Golden Lions} at Alcorn State {Braves}
The SWAC Conference is one of two collegiate conferences with historically-black schools. The pride and culture of Black college sports is a magical one. You have Battle of the Bands, some hard-nosed football, and just some of the most pure action among historically-black schools. I am a Black American myself. So let's do this. Arkansas-Pine Bluff is somewhat of an underrated program among SWAC schools. It's usually Alabama A&M who rule the roost in the SWAC. UAPF is home to a pack of kittens that know how to play ball. The Golden Lions are roaring proudly as they make their way into Mississippi. This is a SWAC game as they took on Alcorn State. The purple and gold of Alcorn State are not really the pride of black football in Mississippi. It's usually Mississippi Valley State that's the better team. While the Golden Lions won't get the MVSU Delta Devils, they will get the Alcorn State Braves. Arkansas-Pine Bluff got more than Alcorn State... they got the Braves and beat them senseless. (21-3; Arkansas-Pine Bluff)

Other FCS Scores:
* Missouri State {Bears} at Tennessee-Martin {Skyhawks} (51-44; Missouri State)
* Cumberland University (???) at Tennessee Tech (45-21; TENNESSEE TECH)

--- Division 2 Scores ---
I may already have my OWNAGE OF THE WEEK winner with one of these games.

The Land of Enchantment Ready to Meet some Northeasterners
* Northeastern State at Eastern New Mexico
I don't think there are any other Division 1 schools other than New Mexico and New Mexico State. Eastern New Mexico got it done by two safeties. (14-10; EASTERN NEW MEXICO)

Midwestern Battle Ready to Take Form
* Peru State (NAIA) at Minnesota State
Let's clear something up. I think the Peru in question is either in Indiana or Illinois. Right? So Minnesota State isn't playing against any gridiron team from South America. Minnesota State shut out and beat the &*$% out of Peru State. (70-0; MINNESOTA STATE) *** ownage nominee ***

First Time Using Windows Vista
I'd like to offer my own comments regarding Windows Vista. Some of the computers at my community college have Vista installed on them. First thing I take away from Vista- beautiful and colorful. A thing I liked the most is that the Start Menu is more simplified. Going into a different folder didn't mean you had to move your mouse all the way away from the main Start Menu window. A thing I hated is that I couldn't utilize my bookmark file that I made with Netscape 4. At least, couldn't use it in the same window. The real assumption is that since this is something I created on a home computer, that I'm automatically at risk to have some potential attack from some jackass hacker online. It was retty tough navigating through menus, especially in Load and Save situations. As opposed to green boxes signifying progress in downloading or uploading, it's all a straight progress bar that shines a little bit. Most of the sounds from the XP package return to Vista and sound different. It was a bit sad that you don't have any magnificent sounds to welcome you and bid you farewell when shutting down. Just more simplistic sounds. I thought cycling through menus was pretty cool. You clicked on that one button that allows you to choose the window you want to have on top. I even toyed around with it by simply messing with the scroll wheel on the mouse. The windows all kind of look like glass. You actually get the impression that you can somewhat see through the top window with whatever was featured below it. I like how the message boxes show up on the screen. Message boxes zoom out towards you, then zooms out when done with the message box. You basically get a preview of what windows in Vista look like if you have the new Media Player 11 for Windows. But in Vista, it looks amazing. It seems like the primary colors for futuristic stuff nowadays is black that fades into dark gray and has either a red or blue hue.

Far from perfect, but pretty cool from what I've been able to do in Vista.

That's the only extra I have for you all. I think I'll repost a profile of Appalachian State from last year's scores. The Mountaineers will get Lenoir-Rhyne of Division 2. Michigan will get Oregon. Thanks for reading!

First, sorry I missed jumping in last week, but I've been busy. Between Warhawk and work I have little "free" time.

Black College Football Action in North Carolina
I know you have been wanting to pay attention to Historically Black Colleges in football, so I wonder if you have seen this:
Black College Football Experience video game

Looks like a game that will definitely give some attention to these conferences that barely get any media attention. And being on the Unreal 3 engine it may be a very good game. Judging by the NCAA 08 demo it doesn't have to try too hard.

Kentucky Starts Strong
FoolKiller
's Wildcats are off to a great start as they continue their win streak from last season. They get Kent State next. Kent State is good, but not great. How do you like how this game ended up?
I love how the first game ended up and I can't wait to play Kent. After Louisville's obvious looking ahead coach Brooks came out and said that Kentucky is not doing that and you can expect the game to be closer to the predicted outcome than an upset.

FIRE: Defense is Overrated! Run What'Cha Brung, Baby!
In the end, Louisville's lead seemed completely insurmountable. Kentucky? You're next. (58-42; #8 LOUISVILLE)
Too soon to look ahead, but like I told a friend this morning: If Louisville plays like this next week I will be completely happy.

You know, FoolKiller, interesting that you've come up with this. I like all college football, but I (even CSTV and ESPNU) usually like to make this focus. I'll especially look into black college basketball when February rolls around. By then, I'll even get to focus on some non-football black schools like Coppin State and Maryland-Eastern Shore for instance. I read about the company behind this game, and they are based in SEC country. What FCS fans know is that Baton Rouge is home to the Jaguars of Southern University (my future sister-in-law's alma mater). Speaking as a Black American, I can say that this is a pretty significant leap for us blacks. Especially since this is a game centered around the black college football experience. Even though some of the schools may be historically-black, you will get to see some non-blacks play at these schools. Regardless, this is a pretty cool find. So thank you for showing me this.

Tonight's action is Navy at Rutgers. Could this be a trap game? We'll see tonight on ESPN.

On ESPNU's "College Football Live," a guy named Kyle from Eureka, IL took a knock on Louisville by saying something like this:

(indirect quote) "The Louisville Cardinals are the NCAA version of the St. Louis Rams- tons of offense, no defense." -someone named Kyle from Eureka, IL

I don't have NFL scores for you, but I do have some college stuff I'd like to report. Give me a chance, and I'll give you some scores. Is that cool? Then let's get this deal started!

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision ---

A Mid-Major Looks to Beat New Jersey's Only FBS Team
* Navy {Midshipmen} at #15 Rutgers {Scarlet Knights}
It's the birthplace of college football. It was a place where Rutgers and Princeton played 137 or so years ago. It's 35 miles or so away from New York City southwest or so. It's the State University of New Jersey- Rutgers. We got Rutgers of the Big East going up against the Navy boys from Annapolis. Let's meet the Navy boys first. I usually don't consider myself pro-American, but us Americans owe a lot of appreciation and thanks for all the hard work men and women in America's military do for our nation. These are the ones who help protect us from terror wherever they may come. The United States Naval Academy will see their 53 football players go from the Mess Hall out to Piscateway, NJ. The Midshipmen are going to try to sink themselves a big battleship. That battleship this time happens to be Rutgers. No one gave Rutgers a lick of respect until this past season. Rutgers has had their best season in years last season. Remember- Rutgers is the birthplace of college football. Don't assume that because Rutgers gave birth to college football, that they been whipping peoples' asses from A to Z. Rutgers hasn't been to a bowl game since the 1970s before they made their statement last season. The Scarlet Knights look to eat up Navy like Olive Garden's delicious breadsticks and that creamy alfredo sauce... I'm sorry... there was an Olive Garden commercial on while I was typing that sentence. Rutgers tries to remain unbeaten as America's best service academy tries to go for a serious upset. Rutgers led 24-7 after 30 minutes of regulation. Navy tried to keep it close, but Rutgers was too much. (41-24; #15 RUTGERS)

The Big East Has Something to Brag About
A commercial for the Big East Conference aired on TV talking about how the Big East has four Heisman contenders. You got Steve Slaton for West Virgina, Ray Rice and for Rutgers, and Brian Brohm for Louisville. College basketball types would think the Big East is overrated since there are 16 teams that comprise the Big East in basketball. Teams like Louisville, Cincinatti, (non-football) Marquette, and (non-football) DePaul want to play for this conference in basketball. People have joined the Big East to have a shot at playing in the BCS. It's why teams like Louisville and such want to play in the BCS. People do say the Heisman is overrated. I wanted Larry Fitzgerald to win the Heisman as Jason White(?) won. Could any of these four in the Big East win the Heisman? Or will someone like... Colt Brennan get the Heisman? We'll see this December at NYC's Downtown Athletic Club.

College Football Student Lounge

Well, I did Mention Olive Garden...
Olive Garden is an amazing restaurant. I'll just share with you what I normally like. I sometimes can't wait when the waiters and waitresses deliver those bread sticks with that creamy alfredo sauce. The bread sticks alone make a good meal. You have to be careful not to have too many because you won't have enough energy to eat whatever food you've ordered. Something I've usually gotten at Olive Garden was the Chicken Marsala. I usually love chicken. The taste of the Chicken Marsala is great with the sauce and stuff. Olive Garden restaurants usually fill up pretty fast with the family gaterings and all. A friend of mine had a birthday at an Olive Garden. It's a really great restaurant. I don't get any of the wines or anything. I don't drink. I usually say that I'd drink maybe some white wine or something when I get married.

Personal Comments...
...to Michigan
: I'd like for Michigan to win. They aren't underdogs in this game against Oregon. In fact, rarely are Michigan underdogs to anyone. I mean, people have been grilling Michigan all week long since that stunning upset this past Saturday. Joey D, I think Big Blue will do just fine against those Oregon boys. My best hope for Michigan is that they can put aside last weekend and try to focus on the rest of the season. I live in Big XII country (though the city of Houston doesn't have a Big XII team). I don't live in Big Ten country. So I am not aware of how most fans up there feel about Michigan losing to Appalachian State. Part of life is about putting aside minor monkeyshines and moving on to a brighter and better future. Same goes for Michigan just trying to complete the regular season. Don't think this year's Michigan will be last year's Colorado. It's only one game.

...to Virginia Tech: You're heading into LSU. This is easily the best match of the week as two Top 10 schools go at it. I'd love to see Virginia Tech win, but for helpful reasons. Remember in 2005 when LSU played at home against Tennessee? Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hammered Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Many wanted LSU to win at home to provide hope for Gulf Coast folk. I'd like to see the upset happen just to continue giving hope to Hokie Nation.

...to Kentucky: ESPN Gameplan will show off this game. Kentucky has to keep bringing the pressure. EKU and Kent State will be only tune-up games until they host Louisville. Eastern Kentucky was more like a Single-A team. Kent State could be a Double-A (I'm using minor-league baseball references). But it's all jokes aside when Kentucky meets Louisville next week. This week, though, take care of Kent State. A match between two 2-0 schools for the Battle of the Bluegrass is VERY interesting. Who'll remain unbeaten (assuming Kent State loses to Kentucky)? FoolKiller, I'll have your alma mater covered.

...to Washington: Looks like you all get to host Boise State. The Broncos are a mid-major compared to a former co-National Champion, Washington. The Huskies will need to be on their game in taking down Boise State. I'm not willing to call it a disappointing loss if the Seattle boys get beat by the Boise boys. Boise State is a team held together VERY nicely. I'll report my findings. kylehnat, I'll report the win or loss in my Saturday report. You're a Washington guy, and I hope to report some good news.

And that would be all. Go enjoy some football! Get ready to have a good old tailgate party.

Lloyd Carr needs to be hung for what he has done to Michigan...today's game was a disgrace to the Wolverine name.

I don't have my scores ready at this time. I just want to quickly comment to you, Joey D. I'm sorry about this loss. Let me revisit my preview of Michigan from the preview thread:

John's Overview of Michigan 2007 (revisited)
* Appalachian State is the defending back-to-back Division 1-AA/FCS champs. I think Big Blue is going to jump all over Appalachian State. I'm not expecting any upsets like New Hampshire beating Northwestern or Montana State(?) beating Colorado here.

* Oregon's a potent team. But to Michigan, the Ducks are Cinderella. Even if this game was played at midnight, Oregon won't have much of a chance.

And what's happened since? Michigan loses 34-32 to Appalachian State, then lost 39-7 today against Oregon. Michael Wilbon (a Michigan hater) on "Pardon the Interruption" predicted that there was a 75% chance Michigan drops the game against Oregon. See what I mean when I say that I want to keep a close eye on the Wolverines? I just want to see how they do and how they try to make a statement each weekend. So far, my prognostications are proving incredibly wrong. Here is the rest of their schedule:

Remaining Michigan 2007 Schedule
9/15 - Notre Dame!
9/22 - Penn State*
9/29 - @ Northwestern*
10/6 - Eastern Michigan
10/13 - Purdue*
10/20 - @ Illinois (dougiemeats' boys)
10/27 - Minnesota (RIVALRY GAME: The Little Brown Jug)
11/3 - @ Michigan State (RIVALRY GAME: Battle for Paul Bunyan)
11/10 - @ Wisconsin
11/17 - Ohio State (RIVALRY GAME (biggest rivalry game without a trophy or a fancy name))

Think about next weekend's game this way... both teams are stumbling, Michigan's playing at home, a win here gets Michigan back to try to make a push to go above .500. I swear you'd lash out at me if I said that Michigan was going to stumble this year. It seems like Appalachian State really came in and turned the tide on Michigan football. I actually listened to most of the game on my portable radio. I think it was 32-7 just inside of two minutes left in the first half. I was surprised, even as Brad Nessler stated the score. I feel for your Wolverines, Joey D. At this point, the University of Michigan has 39 consecutive winning seasons and 32 successive postseason appearances. If Michigan racks up 6 or more losses, these two records will go down the toilet and end up in Lake Erie.

Here is a quick preview of my final score report when I have it all compiled:

* Who beat who 89-0?
* Upsets in Seattle, Athens, and Auburn
* Did Lenoir-Rhyne knock Appalachian State out of the catbird seat?
* What game took three overtimes to complete?

Stay tuned!

This is the Saturday that leads up to the sixth anniversary of one of America's darkest days- the 9/11 attacks. I'll be sure to make a house call to America's four college football service academies. That means Army, Navy, Air Force, and Division 3's Coast Guard. But on to this week. Were's going around the nation from all four divisions of NCAA football. I'll have extras, maybe a few Old School segments, some honors... read my report and you'll see what I'll talk about.

Before we begin, let me provide a general synopsis of this week's games.

SATURDAY SYNOPSIS: Week 2
Virginia Tech will meet LSU in what will be a definite test for the Hokies' offense. A number of upsets occured as some Big Ten schools continued to struggle. The Big East got saw one of its teams upset an SEC football power. Some games were threatened by inclement weather. This included a match in Arkansas as well as a #1 vs. #25 match in Division 2. Two Top 10 teams would lose in Division 2. The top 10 in Division 3 all remained unchanged.

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---

GAME OF THE WEEK: Hokies Travel Out to Baton Rouge and Fur (and Feathers) Will Fly
* #9 Virginia Tech {Hokies} at #2 LSU {Tigers}
Baton Rouge, Louisiana... you ready? We got college football down in LSU's version of Death Valley. A match on paper wasn't even close on game day. The LSU Tigers simply grilled the Virginia Tech Hokies until they were well done. (48-7; #2 LOUISIANA STATE)

"We are Marshall," but We Also Want to Make a Statement
* #3 West Virginia {Mountaineers} at Marshall {Thundering Herd}
Welcome to Huntington, WV. North of Huntington is the Ohio River and the southernmost tip of Ohio. The teams can take a dip in the water because I heard it was a hot day out in Huntington. Forecast was supposed to show that temperatures were in the mid-90s. They get the blue and gold of West Virginia in this game. Lets' meet the hometown boys. Marshall University had a fellow by the name of Byron Leftwich that helped put Marshall on the map before being drafted to the NFL to the Jacksonville Jaguars. I'm sure Leftwich is watching his boys try to upset the #3 team in the nation. The Thundering Herd are going to try to stampede Morgantown's beloved boys. Speaking of Morgantown... on to West Virginia University. The rivalry between West Virginia and Pittsburgh is called the "Backyard Brawl." One reason is because Morgantown is about 30 or 40 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. West Virginia is one of the schools in which I love the combination of blue and gold. They wear these colors with pride and honor. The Mountaineers have the potential to be a National Champion someday. This is the first time West Virginia will play in Huntington for the first time since 1915. I didn't get the result of the 1915 game, but the winner won 92-6. The ESPN2 crew were the only lady who really calls down football games- Pam Ward and ??? ???. WVU didn't get the memo that they could be on upset alert. Only thing upset were the fans who wore green and white. (48-23; #3 West Virginia)

Michigan Will Avoid Being Continually Grilled as They Meet some Birds from Oregon
* Oregon {Ducks} at Michigan {Wolverines}
Division 1's first college basketball champions meet a multiple-time National Champion in Michigan. Joey D's boys are ready to lace 'em up and put the horrible nightmare of being beaten at home by Appalachian State. Michigan got grilled ALL WEEK LONG by fans and even media types. The ESPN channels continually shown Appalachian State beating Michigan. Michael Wilbon had an evil laugh on PTI on the thought of Michigan losing to Appalachian State. You have to think that there is a beautiful magic to football- one week changes everything. Michigan needs to deliver, or Lloyd Carr may need to find a new job. No need for the Big Ten network because ABC's showing this game. The University of Michigan is in Ann Arbor, MI. Ann Arbor is about 10 miles west of the outer bands of metropolitan Detroit. The blue and maize hope to regain their swagger and (I can't believe I'm saying this about Michigan) move back to .500. The Wolverines are used to winning. They don't get into situations like this often. Especially not this early. They haven't lost consecutive opening games at home since... the 1950s? Oregon now. Something I learned about the state of Oregon is that Oregon along the Pacific coast is dotted with state parks. Oregon can be a peaceful place with serene nature. The University of Oregon is rather far from the Pacific coast. Peaceful Oregon will say goodbye to their Ducks and hope the Ducks can frustrate Michigan a little more. And for the first time since 1956, Michigan starts 0-2 at home. As if losing to Appalachian State is terrible enough, this is even more frustrating. I wouldn't be surprised if Mark May and/or Lou Holtz grilled the Wolverines even more. (39-7; Oregon) *** disappointing loss nominee ***

SIDE NOTES: Michigan's Loss
* 1st 4 game loss 1967
* 0-2 for the third time in last 50 seasons
* given up 30+ in four consecutive games ever

Michigan's Struggles are Notre Dame's Gain?
* Notre Dame {Fighting Irish} at #14 Penn State {Nittany Lions}
Notre Dame's losing skid continues. Their next game is the rivalry between them and Michigan. There will be a guaranteed winner. But with two powers strugling, who will get it done? Find out next week. (31-10; #14 PENN STATE) *** disappointing loss nominee ***(31-10; #14 PENNSYLVANIA STATE)

OFF-TOPIC:
Did you see the Notre Dame game around the 12 minute left mark? Todd Blackledge had his "Taste of the Town" segment. This week was about Penn State's sticky buns. He likes them grilled with mustard and some vanilla ice cream. Next week, Todd will be in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. ESPN's Rece Davis is an Alabama alum. So I wonder what would be the restaurant would be next week...

Kent Will Win... but KENT State or KENTucky?
* Kent State {Golden Flashes} at Kentucky
Don't ask me if the school-naming gods picked Kent to describe both schools. I'm sure the Commonwealth of Kentucky named this the University of Kentucky well before Kent State was even established. Kent State is not short for Kentucky. They aren't even a Kentucky school. They are based in a city called Kent, Ohio. The winner of this game will be spelled K-E-N-T. But will you have to say "State" or add U-C-K-Y to it? Let's find out who the winning Kent... will be. Let's meet the Ohio boys. Kent State are hoping that they don't see life flash before their eyes if Kentucky wins. The Golden Flashes look to flash reality into Kentucky's eyes. Now let's meet FoolKiller's alma mater. Kentucky killed some fools last week from Richmond, KY. Now they have the honor of taking down some more jive turkeys. The state of Kentucky is one of the few remaning Commonwealth states. The Commonwealth of Kentucky is guarded by fierce and savage Wildcats. They have a code of honor to protect the Bluegrass State from any so-so bunch of jive turkeys playing in the great coliseum known as Commonwealth Stadium. So let's get this one started. Who's the better Kent...? With 41 seconds left in the game, Kentucky led 56-20. The savior for Kentucky is Andre Woodson, and him and his boys delivered. The game ended with Kentucky punting Kent State back to Ohio with a loss. Bring your bottoms, Louisville! Kentucky's ready. Let's touch gloves and fight clean next week.
(56-20; KENTUCKY)

Would You Pay for an All-SEC Channel?
The SEC is sensational in a lot of sports they play. Think about seeing teams like Vanderbilt, Kentucky, LSU, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and all the different SEC schools in a variety of sports. I always say that the SEC IS college sports. Not just football- college sports. SEC football is usually hard-hitting against some super-tough football players. SEC basketball is amazing not only on the men's side, but the women's side as well. Imagine an all-SEC channel. Do you think it would happen? And do you think it would sell? I think it would be pretty cool. The SEC is amazing in a great deal of sports. Also think about classic moments involving SEC football teams. Think of football stuff like the 1980 Georgia Bulldogs, the 1997 Tennessee Volunteers, the 2006 Florida Gators, all the national champion LSU Tiger teams, or teams like that. I HAVE to mention Kentucky in men's hoops. Imagine looking back at all seven seasons that they won the National Championship. Or imagine looking at Tennessee on the women's basketball side. LSU's won some baseball titles as well. Maybe you SEC fans will get your own channel now that the Mountain West and Big Ten have their own channels.

Technically Knocked Out
* West Virginia Tech {Golden Bears} at Western Kentucky {Hilltoppers}
Bowling Green's boys atop the hill are ready to bang some heads. Western Kentucky wants to enter FBS with a bang. Maybe that bang will happen here and now. I make my own registry of all NCAA teams and save it to a text file. I try to look for nickname, city, and state for the team. I learned West Virginia Tech are known as the Golden Bears. Not the bears from Berkeley, but the Golden Bears based in the state of West Virginia. Now on to Western Kentucky. WKU will ride high in trying to break into FBS with a bang. The future Sun Belt stars will carry on their winning tradition both in football and men's basketball. Their basketball program is among one of the finest in Division 1. The Hilltopper football team won the National Championship in (then) 1-AA in 2002. Western Kentucky may have had some bad dreams overnight. So bad that they took their anger out on the Golden Bears. Made WV Tech look more like Kentucky Fried Golden Bears. Not even Colonel Sanders could cook up a recipe like this. (89-0; WESTERN KENTUCKY) *** ownage nominee ***

Boise State Doesn't Want Their Winning Streak to End
* #22 Boise State {Broncos} at Washington {Huskies}
Washington seems even more resurgent as they drove the wooden stake into Boise State's heart. No magical season this season. Washington's 2-0 and perhaps closing in on being as good as they usually are. The Broncos were no match for a reborn Washington Huskies team. Seattle's looking mighty fine as Washington rubbed out Boise State. (24-10; WASHINGTON) *** upset and big win nominee ***

Bulldogs are Hungry for Some Poultry
* South Carolina {Gamecocks} at Georgia {Bulldogs}
The ol' ball coach... Steve Spurrier took his boys into Athens and shocked them. The Gamecocks knocked off the ranked Georgia Bulldogs at home. This was a terrible loss, not to take anything away from South Carolina. (16-12; South Carolina) *** upset nominee ***

Other 1-A Scores:
* Grambling State at Pittsburgh (-; )
* Maine at Connecticut (38-0; CONNECTICUT)
* #10 California at Colorado State (34-28; #10 California)
* Fresno State at #23 Texas A&M (47-45, 3OT; #23 TEXAS A&M) <<< rain fell hard after game was complete!
* Rhode Island at Army (14-7, OT; ARMY)
* Western Illinois at Illinois (21-0; ILLINOIS)
* Miami {Hurricanes} at #5 Olkahoma {Sooners} (51-13; #5 OKLAHOMA)

NOTE: The match between Memphis and Arkansas State had to be postponed because of intense thunderstorms. It's not very fun when lighting comes by to ruin the action.

--- Divison 1: Championship Subdivision Scores ---
We begin in North Carolina. I'll follow up with a special pack of scores regarding Kentucky's Championship Subdivision teams.

The Michigan-Slayers are on Top of the World and Must Come Back Down to Return to Football
* Lenoir-Rhyne {Bears} (Division 2) at Appalachian State {Mountaineers}
"Ohhhhhhhh! Appalachian State just beat the Michigan Wolverines!!!" All week long. Appalachian State knocked off Michigan. What happened? The AP Poll allowed Appalachian State to get votes. Michigan's been heckled all week long. Appalachian State's been praised. Appalachian State will look to return to regular football and play a weaker opponent. Let's meet Lenoir-Rhyne first. Most stock car racing fans know about Hickory, North Carolina. It's also the home of Lenoir-Rhyne College. The Bears are ready to take flight into FCS and meet some super-happy boys in black and gold. Appalachian State University can be found in Boone, North Carolina. The Appalachian Mountains make up the backdrop for a school like this. The Mountaineers know this is only the first game of the season.

RAPID FIRE: Championship Subdivision
* Johnson C. Smith at Savannah State (24-10; SAVANNAH STATE)
* Wagner at Iona (17-14; IONA)
* Richmond at Northeastern (45-7; Richmond)
* William and Mary at VMI (63-16; William and Mary)
* Morehead State at St. Francis (21-14; Morehead State)
* Urbana at Dayton (45-7; DAYTON)
* West Georgia at Georgia Southern (45-21; GEORGIA SOUTHERN)
* New Hampshire at James Madison (41-24; JAMES MADISON) <<< starting QB got into LOTS of trouble before game even started
* Webber College at The Citadel (76-0; THE CITADEL)
* Abeline Christian at Texas State (45-27; Abeline Christian) *** disappointing loss nominee ***

--- Division 2 Scores ---

* King's at Ithaca (29-16; ITHACA)

--- John's Honors and Dishonors ---
Let's see what teams and games made the cut.

BIGGEST WIN(S) OF THE WEEK
Washington Snaps Boise State's 14-Game Winning Streak
and South Florida Shows Their Strength in Beating Auburn at Auburn - *** WASHINGTON *** I'm giving this one to Washington because they knocked off a very good Boise State team. Anytime you can snap the nation's longest winning streak in ANY division of NCAA football, that's worth some love. *** SOUTH FLORIDA *** Auburn is tough to play at. South Florida had plenty of spunk to head into Auburn, AL and stun Jordan-Hare Stadium.

MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS(ES) OF THE WEEK
Michigan Only Gets a Touchdown as Oregon Whitewashes the Wolverines
- I'm sorry I had to do this. Big wins are big wins. Bad losses are bad losses. Joey D, you acknoledge this game as a disgrace to the Michigan Wolverines and all they stand for. Michigan just seems deflated for some reason. I hope Michigan can turn it all around. This is NOT what Michigan football is all about. Oregon made this look extremely easy. If they lose to Notre Dame next week, then some people in Ann Arbor are REALLY going to be p*ssed off about the 2007 Michigan Wolverines.

UPSET(S) OF THE WEEK (if any)
(Division 2) #6 Nebraska-Omaha Stuns #2 Northwest Missouri State
- I try to find the highest-ranked team to go down. And despite the stunning upsets in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the upset honors go to the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks in beating the #2 Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. This was the best Division 2 match this week.

OWNAGE(S) OF THE WEEK
Big Red Celebrates as Western Kentucky Pulverizes West Virginia Tech 89-0
- How many of you played "Unreal Tournament?" Remember the thrill you got when you found the Redeemer weapon? You could blow up a whole bunch of opponents as long as you used it properly. The end result was that a lot of opponents are going to die in Unreal Tournament when hit by the Redeemer. Well, Western Kentucky "redeemed" West Virginia Tech like they were a peewee football team.

West Virginia Tech = OWNED 89-0 by Western Kentucky!

COOL PLAYS

* Middle Tennessee State Prevents a Louisville Touchdown with an Impressive Tackle
...which led to a Louisville Personal Foul penalty afterwards

I have no extras to share with you all. So I hope to see you next week. Next week's title will be "One Team... One Dream." Take care, everyone!

Kent Will Win... but KENT State or KENTucky?
With 41 seconds left in the game, Kentucky led 56-20. The savior for Kentucky is Andre Woodson, and him and his boys delivered. The game ended with Kentucky punting Kent State back to Ohio with a loss. Bring your bottoms, Louisville! Kentucky's ready. Let's touch gloves and fight clean next week.
(56-20; KENTUCKY)
The final score does not convey the dire straits Kentucky was in at half time. It looked like Kentucky was struggling with the score even tied at one point. I didn't get to see the game because it was tape delayed, so all my watching was done via cell phone updates, so bear with me and my lack of detail here. Apparently at half time coach Rich Brooks gave the team a tongue lashing they wouldn't forget. He had promised fans that they were not looking ahead to Louisville and this would not be as sad as Louisville's MTSU game. In the second half the Wildcats were obviously focused on Kent as Kent managed only one more score and the Wildcats ran the numbers up on their side of the board.

Fight clean? Who's fighting dirty? We only broke the leg of Michael Bush last year. :mischievous:

Would You Pay for an All-SEC Channel?
I don't even need to read the rest of the paragraph. Yes.

Wish I could have seen that. Go Toppers!
