This is the week in which Halloween comes around. Halloween is fun for kids because of all the candy they get (a lot of Tootsie Rolls are fine with me!). However, it can be scary. Evil. Still fun for kids. But... what about those kids between the ages of 17 to 23? These college fotball players wear their uniforms knowing that every game is Halloween. How you get through the games over the course of a season determines whether you are treated with victory, or tricked with defeat.

My pre-determined GAME OF THE WEEK will involve Halloween... in November. It's #1 Texas at #6 Texas Tech. Here's the fight card of days when games will be played:

FBS: SUN, TUE, THU, FRI, SAT
FCS: FRI and SAT
D2: THU and SAT
D3: FRI and SAT

So let's begin the new week!

Division 1: FBS Scores
Two guinea pigs have stepped up to kick off the new week of college football. Please note that each week of college football goes by the actual week on the calendar. So a game played on Sunday will be in the following week's thread. Let's go to Oklahoma for the only FBS match on the fight card.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Golden Knights Fight Valiantly to Survive the Golden Hurricane
* UCF {Golden Knights} at Tulsa {Golden Hurricane}
I just realized something. The city of Tulsa has an obseesion with gold. You have the Golden Eagles of the non-football schoool, Oral Roberts University; and then you have the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Gold is very precious. Gold is also what the Central Florida cavalry is adorned in. That is, if you consider Golden Knights to wear shoulder pads and a football helmet rather than armor and some fancy swords. Bring your gold to this one! Tulsa fought their tails off to win convincingly against the Golden Knights. (49-19; #22 TULSA)

FCS begins Friday

Division 2 Begins Thursday

Division 3 Begins Friday

NFL Focus
Don't come to me for NFL analysis. You came for college. All I do is give a little NFL chatter every Sunday so the college players can see how their favorite NFL teams have done.

Houston, Texas - Winless Bengals Try to Overrate Houston
* Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans (35-6; HOUSTON TEXANS) <<< largest margin of victory in team history; longest winning streak in team history (3 in a row); meets Minnesota next Sunday

Baltimore, Maryland - Ravens Ready to Black Out the Raiders
* Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens (29-10; BALTIMORE RAVENS)

Charlotte, North Carolina - Charlotte Welcomes a Flock of Birds to the Panthers' Den
* Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers (27-23; CAROLINA PANTHERS)

Detroit, Michigan - Detroit Can Relate with Cincinnati with to How Tough the NFL Is
* Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions (25-17; Washington Redskins)

Dallas, Texas - Cowboys Light Up Big-D When Tampa Bay Comes to Town
* Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys (13-9; DALLAS COWBOYS)

London, England - British Introduced to a Different Kind of Football
* San Diego Chargers vs. New Orleans Saints (37-32; New Orleans Saints)

Foxboro, Massachusetts - Blue and Gold Attack Ready to Butt Heads With the Pats
* St. Louis Rams at New England Patriots (23-16; NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS) <<< NE with only two losses so far; fifth win

That's all to start this week off right. My hometown Houston Cougars will be in West Virginia to meet the Marshall Thundering Herd. The other game involve the Buffalo Bulls going to Athens. Athens, Ohio; that is (what? Were you expecting a pack of bulldogs?). The Bobcats will return home after the Bobcats lost a close one in Philadelphia last week.

Comments on this week's games, comments on last week's games, questions, comments... I take all of them! So ring me up with some replies to get this thread going!

The University of Michigan still has a chance to go 6-6. That's the optomistic side of things. Here is their remaining schedule:

11/1 - at Purdue
11/8 - at #20 Minnesota
11/15 - Northwestern
11/22 - at #13 Ohio State

Joey D, I try to have a little optomism for your Wolverines. I try to be optomistic with everyone and their favorite teams, even if I continually rip them. Michigan was down last year until they came back and made (and won) their bowl game against Florida. Their chances of playing in Miami for the BCS National Championship may be over. However, (let's go for the longshot) what if Michigan knocks off all of their teams to go 6-6. This would be an epic comeback. But for right now, most people will think their four-game losing streak will extend into West Lafayette. Then also, what if Michigan goes into Ohio State and beats Ohio State in their house? The real "overrated" chants will begin then!

Something I wonder is... how do most Michigan fans feel right now about how this season has gone? And of the remaining games, how many do you think they will win?

BREAKING NEWS: Tyrone Willingham (Washington coach) will resign at the end of this season. They are 0-6 right now. The former Notre Dame coach is just having a lethargic time in Seattle with his purple and gold attack. I hope things get better for them because Washington can be a much better team than what they're showing now. Maybe they could have been 1-5 if not for that controversial Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty was called in their game vs. BYU. But for now, this team needs something to feel good about. Maybe "feel good" means waiting for this season end to start anew the next year.

Buffalo heads to Ohio Tuesday in a MAC match. And in Conference USA, the University of Houston will be hosted by the Marshall Thundering Herd.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was on ABC Tuesday night. Linus believes there was a such thing as the Great Pumpkin that gives out toys to lots of boys and girls. Does this remind you of some other person? Tricks and treats are available for all via college football. The only costume you need is just what you're wearing already. So let's continue this week of college football. It's a Super Tuesday of college football.

Division 1: FBS Scores

Huntington, West Virginia - Cougars Seek 5-3 Record Hosted by Marshall
* Houston {Cougars} at Marshall {Thundering Herd}
I wished this game was played here in Houston on a beautiful Tuesday evening here. But, the Scarlet and Albino White will get ready to take on a bunch of green boys. The Thndering Herd of Marshall will
The Thundering Herd looked great leading 16-3 while the Cougars need thirty more minutes to try to win this game. A trip to Marshall just wasn't a great one for the Cougars. They fall to 4-4 in their first year under Kevin Sumlin. Houston teams STILL can't seem to win on ESPN/ABC-televised games. Shame. (37-23; MARSHALL)

Athens, Ohio - Ailing Bobcats Crave Defeat of Some Bulls
* Buffalo {Bulls} at Ohio {Bobcats}
This match was on ESPNU before the Houston/Marshall game took place. The Bulls stepped on the gas and motored away out of Athens (Ohio) with a win. The Bobcats continue to look lethargic and will finish with a losing record. (32-19l Buffalo)

FCS starts Friday

Division 2 starts Thursday

Division 3 starts Friday

That's Tuesday's scores. Sad my hometown Cougars didn't get the "W" at Marshall. Hopefully things get better down the road for them. Action will resume Thursday. Thanks for reading.

Here's a little look back at the season so far, via Winners and Losers.

John's Winners and Losers So Far

BIGGEST WIN(S) SO FAR -
* Stanford Goes 1-0! No... This Isn't a Typo
Stanford defeated Oregon State. While they started 0-1, the Beavers would go on to stun USCal at home.

* (Division 3) Lewis and Clark Ends Four-Year Long Losing Streak
They won their first game since beating Claremont 27-11 on 10/9/2004.

* Michigan Comes From Behind to Stun #9 Wisconsin
Trailing 19-0 at one point, they'd come back to win 37-35 against a game Wisconsin squad.

* Tuskegee is #10 in Division 2, but Beats and Ailing Alabama A&M
This D2 win over an FCS team made Alabama A&M 2-4 for the season at this point.

* #17 Oklahoma State Takes Down #3 Missouri in a Close Fight
The Tigers of Missouri couldn't take out Oklahoma State in this Big XII match as they lost 28-23.

* Tennessee Gets Themselves a Much-Needed Win in Convincing Fashion
Tennessee is the biggest disappointment. They don't fall on their faces often like (the other SEC team in Tennessee), but they needed this win when the Vols won themselves a game.

* Texas Wins a Fist Fight Against Oklahoma State, Knowing That Texas Tech is Waiting for Texas
Coach Mack Brown for Texas said their game against Oklahoma State was an eye-opener. They'd better be wide open when Texas Tech hosts the 'Horns.

MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS(ES) OF THE WEEK -
* UTEP Blasted by Buffalo in a Pathetic Performance; changed to San Diego State's Loss at California Polytechnical
UTEP lost 42-17 to them. I changed this disappointing loss to another score in the following week's thread to San Diego State losing against Cal Poly.

* #8 West Virginia Shows Little or No Effort as East Carolina Motors Away
WVU didn't get into the end zone all game long. This was a climax for East Carolina.

* There May Be a Team That Stinks Worse than Florida International- VIRGINIA![/B]
Virginia lost 31-3 to DUKE! How the hell do you lose to Duke in football? Virginia found that way without fail.

* (tie) a Comeback for Kentucky Negated by a Special Teams Blunder; Maryland Losses at Virginia, Putting Up Absolutely No Effort
An onside kick out of bounds by Kentucky sealed their own fate in their bid to knock off Alabama. In College Park, it was a poor game for the Terrapins.

* An LSU Player for the 4th-Ranked Tigers Wanted to Put a Hit on Tebow, but #11 Florida Hits LSU Hard
The guy who talked about that hit didn't play in that game... neither did LSU's offense when #11 Florida pounded them 51-21.

* Wake Forest Shows NO Effort to Stop Maryland
The Terps ran all over Wake Forest. A Terrapin is a turtle, and Wake Forest were moving like turtles trying to stop the Terps in Maryland. They lost 26-0. Maybe this was revenge or surge against the shutout they had when they hosted Virginia.

* (Division 3) #3 Mary Hardin-Baylor Goes to the Pacific Northwest... and Get Shown Up Terribly
The Crusaders Mary Hardin-Baylor lost at Southern Oregon (an NAIA school). I don't usually show NAIA schools, but this was bad. They lost 40-28 to a team they probably could have beaten.

UPSET(S) OF THE WEEK (if any) -
* #8 Abilene Christian Embarasses #4 Northwest Missouri State (Division 2)
Abilene Christian won by 17.

* (Division 2) #20 Bloomsburg Takes Care of #6 California University of Pennsylvania
CUP lost 24-17 in this match at Bloomsburg.

* Yeah, "if Any..." Oregon State Knocks Off #1 USCal from the Catbird Seat
This was the first game I saw when power was restored to my house after Hurricane Ike 12 days later.

* Pittsburgh Stuns #10 South Florida in Hard-Fought Fashion
I doubted Pittsburgh would beat South Florida, and I looked dumb with this poor prediction.

* #5 Texas Goes Postal Against #1 Oklahoma
It's the Red River Rivalry to avoid the "Shootout" name. The Longhorns still put out a great 45-35 win to stun #1 Oklahoma.

* #2 North Alabama Gets Stung By #10 Delta State
Delta State won by six over the North Alabama Lions.

* (Division 2) Wisconsin-Stevens Point Stuns #2 Wisconsin-Whitewater on the Road
Unranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point went to Wisconsin-Whitewater and extinguished the flames of the Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks. They lost 17-16.

OWNAGE(S) OF THE WEEK -
* #5 Carson-Newman Delivers a 77-14 Smashing of Concord (of ??) (Division 2)
* Texas Southern Falls 83-10 at Arkansas State
* Rice Reminds North Texas That They are the Worst Team in Texas (Rice won 77-20)
* Monmouth Were Grinning as Grinnel Got Whacked 69-0.
Monmouth (of Division 3 based in Illinois) took good care of Grinnel College in Division 3.

* (Division 3) Eureka! You Got PWN3D 62-0 by Huntingdon!
* #6 USCal Puts Up 69 at Washington State in First-Class Pounding (Washington State lost 69-0 at home)
* (Division 3) #15 Salisbury Whacks Becker 63-0

Keep in mind that my college football coverage was suspended because of Hurricane Ike. So some results didn't show up in this retrospective report. My "Stargazing" titled thread was the first one in which I put together music videos to end coverage of each week. I put on "Starry Eyed Surprise" by Paul Oakenfold that week. That's the season so far.

The only FBS match for tomorrow is South Florida's visit to Cincinnati at lovely Nippert Stadium. These two former Conference USA schools will match up here as Cincy thinks upest. Will the 5-2 Bearcats of Cincinnati be bowl eligible with a win against the 6-2 USF Bulls? Find out in tomorrow's report!

Halloween Eve is here. Even though Halloween is on a Friday, there may still be plenty of tricks and treats for Saturday. Coming up... college football scores!

Division 1: FBS Scores

Cincinatti, Ohio - Cincinnati Wants a Blackout Over the Bulls
* #23 South Florida {Bulls} at Cincinnati {Bearcats}
It was a beautifully clear night in Cincinnati, Ohio. Darkness was in the skies as well as in the crowd as the Bearcats faithful dressed up in all black (or Halloween costumes). Bulls aren't afraid of very many things, so why should South Florida be concerned? Cincinnati's blackout worked perfectly- South Florida's afraid of the dark and had their Big East hopes up in smoke. (24-10; CINCINNATI)

FCS begins Friday

Division 2 Scores
Two matches took place. One in Texas (as seen on CBS College Sports), and another in Georgia. Let's see who the winners were.

Stephenville, Texas - Texans of a Different Luchese Boots
* Angelo State {Rams} at #21 Tarleton State {Texans}
This is a match in northern Texas between two Texas schools. The Angelo State Rams are thinking upset. The Rams want to upset the Texans of Tarleton State. The Texans took out the Rams in their headbutting match by seven. This win gave Angelo State the creeps as the ghosts of the Tarleton State Texans spooked the Rams. (31-24; #21 TARLETON STATE)

Valdosta, Georgia - Georgia Pride on the Line as the Defending D2 Champs Defend Home Turf
* West Georgia {Braves} at #14 Valdosta State {Blazers}
Only one upset happened. Would another? The Braves of the University of West Georgia felt like they were trying to defend themselves against 53 Draculas as the Valdosta State Blazers sucked the life out of the West Georgia offense. (41-14; #14 VALDOSTA STATE)

Division 3 starts Friday

There you have it. Only Divisions FCS and 3 will play on Halloween night. I have a little special for you after my Halloween report. Let's say you might get a good laugh out of it. Check in for my Halloween report when it's done. And from me to you, have a happy and safe Halloween!

Tonight's ESPN2 match is Wofford at Appalachian State. It's a battle of North Carolina and South Carolina. I'll have these results as well as Division 3 action in my Friday report.

Can you believe that hundreds of teachers called in sick in Georgia just to make ready for the Florida/Georgia game tomorrow? This is crazy! Happy Halloween to all of you. Thank you for visiting this Friday report. No FBS action took place, but we do have some FCS and Division 3 action. The big match for tonight involves FCS' Appalachian State taking on Wofford College in a battle of the Carolinas. Then, we have a matchup in Connecticut as the boys from Staten Island, Wagner College, to meet Sacred Heart.

FBS resumes Saturday

Division 1: FCS Scores
Two East Coast games are for your enjoyment. Check these games out.

Boone, North Carolina - #3 Wofford Seeks to Spook Out #2 Appalachian State
#3 Wofford at #2 Applachian State
Happy Halloween from northwesteren North Carolina! The Mountaineers are about to get crazy over Wofford College. The Terriers beat them last year. Both are looking up at James Madison for the FCS lead. Both of these two may well make the FCS playoffs easily. This is what Appalachian State calls revenge. BEATDOWN in North Carolina! (70-24; #2 APPALACHIAN STATE)

Fairfield, Connecticut - Pioneers Seek Ways to Pioneer Victory When Wagner College Comes to Town
* Wagner {Seahawks} at Sacred Heart {Pioneers}
So there is a college football team in Fairfield... I always thought the non-football school, Fairfield University, was the only Division 1 school in Fairfield. So I'd imagine Sacred Heart and Fairfield (both religious schools) are rivals in most sports they are both in. In fact, two religious colleges will go at it here. The rough ride the Seahawks of Wagner College continued as the Sacred Heart Pioneers rocked them hard. (42-20; SACRED HEART)

DID YOU KNOW...
...that Sacred Heart is now 8-1 with this win?

Division 2 resumes Saturday[/B}

Division 3 Scores
Division 3... 3 games. All three of these games will be held at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota (as I learned from d3football.com (my D3 score source)).

* Minnesota-Morris vs Macalester (25-0; Macalester)
* St. Scholastica vs. Martin Luther (77-42; Martin Luther) <<< Martin Luther College has NO association with Martin Luther King. Do not be confused.

* Northwestern College led Crown 37-0. Not sure how the game ended up, so I'll leave it like this:
(37-0; Northwestern College (of MN)) <<< 15:00 left in the 4th as of the recording of this score.

John's Student Lounge
Here's my little bonus for you. Shown on ABC back on Tuesday, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was on. This little YouTube video features my favorite part of this classic cartoon. Have a good look (and a good laugh!):

Hint: my favorite line is between 2:48 and 2:53. My favorite section is between 2:20 and 3:30.

My GAME OF THE WEEK is #1 Texas at #6 Texas Tech. And I smell upset in that one. I'll even chat about Florida vs. Georgia as well. Enjoy this weekend's games any way you do. Have a great weekend, you blockheads! ^_^ Hope you had a good Halloween.

Michigan State just made a nice pass to the endzone... until the guy dropped the football when it should have been an easy touchdown. So they settled for a 27-yard field goal and trail Wisconsin 7-3. Michigan State is ranked #21 in the nation and is the home team. This game is on ESPN.

Welcome to November! Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour as this is the "Fall Back" part of the "Spring Forward, Fall Back" deal.

Division 1: FBS Scores
I must say that I've been unable to catch any action thanks to being on the road with my family. I was able to hear parts of the GAME OF THE WEEK even as they wanted to turn the volume up and sing when I'm trying to listen to something decent. We begin in my home state.

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech Smells Upset as They Host Some Longhorns
* #1 Texas {Longhorns} at #7 Texas Tech {Red Raiders} --- GAME OF THE WEEK ---
Well, this is it. ESPN College GameDay was in Lubbock as Lee Corso donned the Texas Tech mascot's head (and fired his guns). Would Texas Tech win? Despite Texas fighting back to preserve their unbeaten status, the Longhorns couldn't contain Texas Tech at a RAUCOUS stadium. (39-33; #7 TEXAS TECH)

OFF-TOPIC/COMMENTARY: I don't think Texas has anything to really hang their heads on. This could have gone either way. Never mind this is a rivalry game. This could have been EITHER team's game, but Texas TECH got her done.

Jacksonville, Florida - The NFL's Jacksonsville Jaguars Lend Their Field to Some Ferocious SEC Mammals
* #8 Florida {Gators} vs. #6 Georgia {Bulldogs} --- Alltel Stadium - Jacksonville, FL ---
I know this arena because it's an AFC South battleground. My Texans are an AFC South team, and I wish we could beat down all our AFC South opposition to maybe sneak into the playoffs. This is a football field, after all. So northern Florida is going to see some SEC action. The Swamp and Sanford Stadium were too big to contain these two bitter rivals. The Florida Gators shown much more fight than the bark of the Bulldogs. Not even close. (49-10; #8 Florida)

I want to check in with Kentucky's three FBS teams. We begin with Kentucky.

Starksville, Mississippi - Kentucky Seeks Rebound From Florida
* Kentucky {Wildcats} at Mississippi State {Bulldogs}
I wished I could be in FoolKiller's hometown to let him know his Wildcats will be alright after being roughed up in Gainesville. An expression I used was that Florida knocked Kentucky's teeth out in Gainesville. Well, you can rough up Kentucky any way you like, but they still roar loudly and it showed as the Mississippi State Bulldogs didn't have enough bark to match Kentucky's roar. (14-13; Kentucky)

Syracuse, New York - Basketball Powers Duel at the Carrier Dome... for Football
* Louisville {Cardinals} at Syracuse {Orange}
Take out the "Men" in "Orangemen," and you get the "Orange." But you still get the same sorry football team from upstate New York. Syracuse may be sorry, but the made the Louisville Cardinals sorry for coming into the 'Cuse and talkin' smack. (28-21; SYRACUSE)

Bowling Green, Kentucky - WKU Does Housekeeping While Kentucky and Louisville are Away
* North Texas {Mean Green/Eagles} at Western Kentucky {Hilltoppers}
Western Kentucky is still getting acclimated to FBS. They get the lowly Mean Green of the University of North Texas. Despite 15 Mean Green football players failing drug tests recently, they still topped the Hilltoppers for their first win of the season. (51-40; North Texas)

East Lansing, Michigan - Badgers Try to Regain Their Swagger at Michigan State
* Wisconsin {Badgers} at Michigan State {Spartans}
The state of Michigan wasn't kind to Wisconsin when the Wolverines (featured in my next score) hosted them. Now, the Badgers will try to beat down Michigan's other Big Ten team. They had the win... until Michigan State shut the door on them. Too bad, Wisconsin. (25-24; MICHIGAN STATE)

West Lafayette, Indiana - Michigan Keeps Hope of a .500 Record Alive in Indiana
* Michigan {Wolverines} at Purdue {Boilermakers}
Michigan's chances of winning the Big Ten are over. They still have hope of maintaining a winning season. Can the Wolverines silence the Purdue attack? Michigan was so close... yet so far. The Boilermakers scored a late touchdown that gave Michigan their first losing season in 30+ years. Really a heartbreaking moment for Wolverines' fans. This is a disappointing loss for Michigan that's the product of hard luck. (48-42; PURDUE)

Lawrence, Kansas - Who's the Best Team in the State of Kansas?
* Kansas State {Wildcats} at Kansas {Jayhawks}
High-Test would love for me to say that Kansas won so that he can brag about it. Well... the Jayhawks were clearly better than the Kansas State Wildcats. (52-21; KANSAS)

South Bend; Indiana - Storied Blue and Gold Schools Engaged in a Dogfight
* Pittsburgh {Panthers} at Notre Dame {Fighting Irish}
ESPN's Mark May is a proud Pittsburgh graduate. ESPN's Lou Holtz is a proud Notre Dame grad. Alma maters were tested. The Pitt Panthers and Fighting Irish had a storied fight, lasting four overtimes. Sixty minutes weren't enough as neither team wanted to lose. Until... Pitt came strong. Meow! (36-33, 4OT; Pittsburgh)

I won't go into much detail here except that these were upsets aplenty. Check out these beatings.

UPSET RAPID FIRE
* #19 Tulsa at Arkansas (30-23; ARKANSAS)
* #24 Oregon at California (26-16; CALIFORNIA)
* #16 Florida State at Georgia Tech (31-28; GEORGIA TECH)
* Northwestern at #20 Minnesota (24-17; Northwestern)

A few more games in FBS, then I'll move on to FCS.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama - Alabama Takes a Break from Taking on SEC Teams
* Arkansas State {Red Wolves} at #2 Alabama {Crimson Tide}
The Crimson Tide disrupted the flight of the Arkansas State Red Wolves. (35-0; #2 ALABAMA)

Bloomington, Indiana - Chippewas Think Embarassment of Hoosiers
* Central Michigan {Chippewas} at Indiana {Hoosiers}
This would almost never happen in men's basketball. The Chippewas chipped away at Indiana until the Hoosiers couldn't contain the boys from Central Michigan. (37-34; Central Michigan)

Hartford, Connecticut - Huskies Try to Keep Even with the Mountaineers
* West Virginia {Mountaineers} at Connecticut {Huskies}
The Huskies were mightily tamed by the WVU Mountaineers. (35-13; West Virginia)

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - LSU Would Rather Do Many Things OTHER Than Losing to Tulane
* Tulane {Green Wave} at #15 LSU {Tigers}
Did you know that Tulane used to be an SEC school? Well, they used to be great until the LSU Tigers shown they weren't afraid of any Green Wave. (35-10; LOUISIANA STATE)

El Paso, Texas - Miners Seek Major Win Against Vastly Improving Owls
* Rice {Owls} at UTEP {Miners}
The Rice Owls were in an offensive shootout until they pulled away late for the Miners to do next to nothing to preserve a big win. (49-44; Rice)

Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Brett Favre's Alma Mater Locked in a Border War
* UAB {Blazers} at Southern Mississippi {Golden Eagles}
From vast improvement... to vast disappointment. The UAB Blazers had absolutely no firepower in trying to shut down the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss. (70-14; SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI)

Palo Alto, California - Cougars Try to Trump the Cardinal
* Washington State {Cougars} at Stanford {Cardinal}
I can't wait for the Washington/Washington State game because the Cougars are competiting with their Seattle rivals for the honor of being the worst FBS football team in the state of Washington. Stanford and their Cardinal made this look very easy. Who loses to Stanford by this much?[/B] (58-0; STANFORD)

Los Angeles, California - Washington Knew What They Signed Up For...
* Washington {Huskies} at #7 USCal {Trojans}
Washington is known as the Emerald State. They are known as a great producer of apples. Only that the Trojans took a big bite out of the apple of the Washington Huskies as their bark couldn't phase USCal. (56-0; #7 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)

More FBS scores here: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaaf/scoreboard?w=10&c=all

Division 1: FCS Scores
So what if it's not Halloween anymore? Teams can still get spooked. Let's see who all saved themselves and who all had to taste defeat.

* Jacksonville at Butler (45-9; Jacksonville)
* Massachusetts at Rhode Island (49-0; Massachusetts)

* Hofstra at New Hampshire (45-25; NEW HAMPSHIRE)
* Marist at Fordham (45-21; FORDHAM)
* Harvard at Dartmouth (35-7; Harvard)
* Dayton at San Diego (30-22; Dayton)
* Indiana State at North Dakota State (34-7; NORTH DAKOTA STATE)
* McNeese State at Southeastern Louisiana (24-14; McNeese State)
* Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Southern (31-24, OT (2OT?); SOUTHERN)

Division 2 Scores

* Lock Haven at Slippery Rock (45-7; SLIPPERY ROCK)
* Concord at UNC-Pembroke (57-0; NORTH CAROLINA-PEMBROKE)
* West Alabama at Ouachita Baptist (45-43, 3OT; OUACHITA BAPTIST) <<< Ouachita Baptist in Arkansas
* #11 Tuskegee at Clark Atlanta (42-20; #11 Tuskegee)

* #8 Minnesota-Duluth at Minnesota-Crookston (63-7; #8 Minnesota-Duluth)
* Missouri Western at Central Missouri (42-41; Missouri Western)
* #19 West Chester at #6 Bloomsburg (24-21; #19 West Chester)
* Shaw at Johnson C. Smith (62-35; Shaw)

Division 3 Scores
One more division of NCAA football. Let's see how the D3 boys tossed around the pigskin. I'd like to begin by showing you games pitting the Top 5 teams including a popular game from last year.

* John Caroll at #1 Mount Union (41-7; #1 MOUNT UNION)
* Illinois Wesleyan at #2 North Central (of IL) (30-7; #2 NORTH CENTRAL of ILLINOIS)
* Oberlin at #3 Wabash (60-7; #3 WABASH)
* #4 Muhlenberg at Dickinson (31-25; #4 Muhlenberg)
* #5 Millsaps at #14 Trinity (of TX) (56-27; #5 Millsaps) <<< Pontiac's Game Changing Performance of the Year last year; edging out even Appalachian State's upset of Michigan
* #9 Washington and Jefferson at Thomas More (35-29; THOMAS MORE) <<< Washington & Jefferson College based in Washington, PA, and home of Presidents' athletics.
* Chicago at #13 Case Western Reserve (38-24; #13 CASE WESTERN RESERVE) <<< Case Western Reserve University based in Cleveland, Ohio

* Carnegie Mellon at Washington University (16-8; WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY-ST. LOUIS)
* Webber International at Newport News (13-10, OT; Webber International)
* Monmouth (of IL) at Illinois College (78-17; Monmouth-Illinois)

And that's it. Stay tuned for my Winners and Losers!

John's Winners and Losers
Get a nice win. Fall on your face. Beat some team with some high number. Massacre the other team. You do these you're eligible for an honor or dishonor. Who made the list this time? Let's check out the four categories.

BIGGEST WIN(S) OF THE WEEK - North Texas Wins Game Despite Recent Failed Drug Test Results
This game is a pass for me because the Mean Green win their first game as well as winning despite having 15 players failing drug tests. Western Kentucky didn't beat North Texas, but I'm giving the pass to North Texas for getting their first win as well as doing it despite the drug test thing.

MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS(ES) OF THE WEEK - Michigan Assured Their First Losing Season Since 1967
I initially had it as Michigan's loss to Purdue and Georgia's loss to Florida as a tie. Michigan won't be making a Bowl Game this season as their losing streak continues. This is a disappointing loss of a different kind. Normally, disappointing losses are the games that could have been won had it not been for teams falling on their faces and looking dumbfounded. This is a disappointing way to be assured a losing season when you could have played to preserve a potential win and maybe go to Overtime. The 1967 Wolverines finished 4-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big Ten. Will Michigan get ANY wins to build for the future? I wonder what would happen if Michigan had scrapped the Spread offense like Auburn did. It worked for Auburn... could it have worked for Michigan?

UPSET(S) OF THE WEEK (if any) - A Texas Shootout Sees Burnt Orange Get Crushed at #7 Texas Tech
This game could have really gone either way. Texas would have been probably smooth sailing if they'd jump the hurdle known as Texas Tech. Unfortunately, someone had to lose this big game. Damn shame I didn't get to see this on TV.

OWNAGE(S) OF THE WEEK - (tie) State of Washington Gets Owned By California Teams and Monmouth of Illinois Puts 78 on the Board While Illinois College Only Musters 17
Three ownages. Two in California while another happens in Illinois. So here you go:

Washington and Washington State... OWNED 56-0 (Washington) by USCal and 58-0 (Washington State) by Stanford!
...and...
Illinois College... OWNED 78-14 by Monmouth (of Illinois)!

Thank you for checking out this week's scores! Next week's thread will have a theme of election. Some say that Presidential Races are the best spectator sport. Well, you'll see a report of real spectator sports when I add a little election flavor to college football. God bless all of you. Thank you very much for reading this week's scores.
