I'm not so sure about that. Last year the Bucks went 12-0 and had they been bowl eligible, the final ranking (IIRC) had them in at #3 or #4. No BCS Championship game when your sitting on the 3 or 4 spot. The BCS, killed they Bucks because of the strength of schedule. That's why I can't stand all of the "candy spots" that everybody gets. I understand the reasoning behind the cupcake games, but in the long run, they can hurt you. Instead of 4 or 5 candy games, limit them to maybe 2 or 3. The rest of the schedule should be against formidable opponents.
I think the preseason rating for OSU would have been higher without the ban last year. The uproar would have been far too loud if Alabama got in over an elite 12-0 AQ school.
