I think Cornell and Syracuse won their games to advance to the next round of the NCAA D1 Men's tournament. Two more semi-finalists will be determined today. North Carolina and Denver are battling right now as of the time of this post. Later today, Duke and Notre Dame will clash.

It is currently 8-2, North Carolina inside of about 5:25 left in the 2nd Quarter.

UPDATE Epic fail by North Carolina. UNC was ahead 9-4 or something at the half. Denver led this game for about 12 seconds- and they were the final 12 seconds, as the Denver Pioneers won 12-11 in come-from-behind fashion. The Tar Heels must have relaxed their guard rather than finish what they started. Either way, Denver advances to meet Syracuse in the semi-finals.

Duke somehow beat Notre Dame to advance. I didn't see all of that game. So congrats to the Blue Devils on a job well done.

Go Blue Devils. A Duke win and a Chapel Hill loss is a double feature of awesomeness for the weekend.

I officiated 5 games on the weekend in a 13 year olds state tournament. My championship game got to triple overtime, but unfortunately one team's best player got himself thrown out (I had to give him two Unsportsmanlike Conducts) and his team lost the sudden death affair shortly after.

Who will comprise the NCAA D1 Men's National Championship? We shall see as Cornell vs. Duke is on right now. The winner of this one will play against the winner of Denver/Syracuse later today.

Right now as of this reply, it is 3-1, Cornell (just scored) with 4:53 left in the 1st Quarter.

As much as I love Duke, I cannot voice to you how much I hate Cornell after watching that. Bunch of dirty little turds, taking cheap shots and trying to hurt players because they lost.

You go to an Ivy League school. Show some class.

The National Championship game will be between two basketball powers with two solid lacrosse programs. Memorial Day will see this match:

#7 Duke vs. #1 Syracuse

Good luck to both teams.

Tonight is the National Championship game for the NCAA Division 1 Women's Lacrosse championship. North Carolina battles undefeated Maryland tonight at around 8:00 PM EDT.

Best of luck to both schools in this match.

If Duke wins, that's great, but I don't expect it.

We don't win that game without Brendan Fowler. Absolutely phenomenal.

Men's National Championship game concluded earlier today.

It was 16-10 in favor of #7 Duke over #1 Syracuse. The best thing was that Duke woke up in the 2nd Quarter and built on it. Duke gets it done after being down 6-5 at the half. And as I'm sure, CAM is smiling from ear to ear.

Congrats to the Duke Blue Devils.

We were down 6-1 and then went on a 12-1 run. They went about 30 minutes with one goal.

All credit to Brendan Fowler. I haven't looked at the time of possession stat, but I would guess we had 90% of the ball from halfway through the second until halfway through the fourth. All because he was completely dominant on face.
