I decreased the kerning on purpose :P

Hehe, thanks! I wish I could get into the advertising world, god knows I trained long enough for it and got all the right qualifications. It's just an insanely hard industry to get into :(

Well I'd open it up. It looks like something a student would do. If you wanna break into the "real" world of advertising. Put more effort into it and show us your polished work.

Sorry to sound like a teacher or know-it-all, but I've worked for major ad agencies in NYC(Select Communications, LairdandPartners and ASSOULINE...to name a few )as a production artist and Art Director. So I have a very good understanding of Ad layout. Therefore, I like to give advice to help those trying to break into the industry.

Your best bet is to find a good job placement agency that caters to ad agencies. And get in at entry level position. Most ad agencies are always looking for more entry level people more than anything because they're cheap. And usually you can learn a lot on the job. And they know this. Trust me I know firsthand. Two of my big agency jobs were found this way. The other thru a friend(this is rare these days).

I've got nowhere near enough time to make a full, polished advert just to post on a thread on these forums! Like I said, it was a 5 minute job thrown together solely for the purpose of the thread.

I've decided not to chase the advertising world anymore to be honest. Nowhere would even consider me without at least a year's experience, but I couldn't get into the industry to get the experience and I need to be at work full time to support myself. If that's how they're going to look at new talent than they can, quite frankly, stuff off!

Also, I've met plenty of people from within the industry and almost all of them have been stuck up condescending morons who like to think they're cultured just because they read Creative Review. It's not the kind of world I even want to associate with anymore. Infact, you're the first person I've seen for a long time in the world of advertising who isn't big headed! Even a close friend of mine has suddenly turned into a snob who looks down on everyone else just because he got a job at Holmes & Marchant.

Plus I'm enjoying doing freelance photography much more and I'm already going further by doing that then I ever did in advertising! :)

Hmmm, I almost created a thread titled "Show us your Ads!"... perhaps a title change for this thread is in order? These are always a lot of fun, and as people have already shown, brings out a lot of quality content!

The R8 looks HORRIBLE in GT5. In real life, its sick looking. In the game, it looks like an overweight ugly cousin of the VW Beetle.

Lol, have you seen the engine that sits in the Audi R8 V10? A 4.2 V8 damn! Premium car?

@ Manipulator

That one looks real, for posters and stuff.

I feel your pain. It frustrates me to not wanna drive a car in the game that I like so much in real life. But in all honesty, it's a car that you have to see at the right angle in a game. It's like having a chick that only looks hot in a certain light.

GT5 does have the best rendering of the car IMO.

Yea agreed. It usually looks great in motion during a race replay, but in the dealership and photomode I think it looks ugly in most angles.

Some of these are awesome....could be in a magazine somewhere and nobody would know the difference. I'm really liking the Challenger one, the Bahnstormer, and a couple others.
