i think communism is fine as longs as it works out, commmunism no rich, no poor, everybody is equal, i'd be great if it worked out , 'cos all communist countries are in deep **** right now, Cuba, China (man that didn't go well at all), Venazuela is about to become communist again and a few more.

as far as i know, modern democracies fail because of corruption and lack of support from other governments, and such. if i'm not mistaken, under communism, mass people could be exterminated in the name of the many. imposed abortion by china is probably seen as a necessity to some over there, to many here it is too inhumane no matter what the supposed impact. regardles, i'm not a collectivist fan.

Well, Communism will never (Well, maybe not never, but not in the next 1000 years anyway) work because of certain fundamental reasons. The idea that everyone gets an equal share is quite nice, and in the Star Trek world works out quite well. Unfortunately in this world, people are driven by certain primal instincts and one of those is greed. Studies have been done with primates, and greed has been broken down to terms as simple as "Will a monkey choose one apple over two?" and the answer is always the same. More than likely greed is built directly into our DNA as a survival instinct, and there is prescious little we can do about that.

Troy if u wanna talk about stupid your "status" is really stupid. Communism in its purist form would be a great form of government but no one wants to be equal since the leader of the country runs everything so he is not equal with the rest of the people.

Was i the one who brought stupid in to this. I belive it was ruf who suggested that my reasoning was stupid when he didn't know what my reasoning was. Still no one knows my reasoning. I didn't want to talk about stupid things. If you read the top couple posts again you will see ruf made his comment about stupid. I was agreeing with him somewhat.
