Compared with GT3, what do you think of GT PSP

If you could play GT3 on the PSP or GTPSP on the PS2 then maybe you could make a comparison, but you can't. If you think of each GT title as food, GTPSP would be a nice granola bar you can take with you and eat anytime, anywhere. GT3 is like that first time you ate "grown up" food and actually liked it. GT1 is like a bowl of your favorite cereal, a great way to start. GT2 was like more cereal, with pop-tarts and some orange juice too. GT4 is like a 3 course dinner, when you first see it laid out before you it seems like there is too much and you don't know where to start but once you get into it it you don't want it to end.

I am hoping that GT5 is like Thanksgiving dinner, just without the annoying members of the family.

They are all in the GT5 Section!!!:sly:

This comparison does not compute! Have you played both of them?
What do you think? Maybe if you give us your opinions we can go from there...

My opinions or the original posters opinions?

mine:

GT3 - Graphic looked so incredibly good, until I got GT4. Physics seemed really good until I played GT4 and GT5P. I liked the variety of tracks, and before GT4 came out with the Nurburgring, I didn't miss not having it. It was a lot of fun and you could keep playing it for a long time, but when later versions (GT4, GT5P) came out I didn't play it as much anymore, too much to do in the newer games.

GT PSP - Lots of fun if you just want to get a quick race in while waiting for (insert random waiting experience here). After completing the challenges and getting all tracks to S rank, I still keep playing because it gets addictive trying to collect all the cars in all colors. Yes, it is missing some of the things that made the GT series so great, but that is what GT5 is for.

The OP opinions, as he asked the question; what is making him ask? what does he think?
My quote to you was just the annoying people part :)

👍 Best analogy ever.

I never played GT3 myself (only a played couple of times at a friend's house) so I can't really comment. But I'd say GTPSP has more content, but lacks in graphics and gameplay (no analog control, no career, no upgrades, etc).

Theres so much that was in GT3 that is missing in the other games, not so many open wheeled race cars, Smokey Mountain Rally Course is missing just to name a few, it's like PD is just takin the good stuff away and leavin us with not much else:tdown:

i miss in the PSP version the dealerships, it was cool how they did that with random car dealers, but an overall look is imo better. graphics on the psp looks dope. i played gt3 too much, put a lot of time and fun in it, i think one of the best ps2 games ever. the camera behind the car is better then they did in GT4
