Because this room is all the same car. I want to ask a question about brake settings. I know the option is up to each to set the Anti-lock at Full, Weak or None (hum?). But what about the wheels and pedals we all have? Is there an improvement in stopping distance that a high-end pedal set has? I am using the G29, and that feels like a disadvantage.

In the spirit of sharing information … eh-hmm … which I thought was the spirit of this series … until recently …
-Default ABS is the most beneficial as the driver is NOT responsible for balancing longitudinal vs lateral grip limits.
-Weak ABS allows a little bit of slip to occur (perhaps reducing the brake pulse frequency). Gives you the chance to get some feedback on your braking choices.
-ABS off: driver is COMPLETELY responsible for balancing longitudinal vs lateral grip limits - gives you COMPLETE feedback on your braking choices.
As you expect, any brake pedal enhancement pays dividends. Off the cuff and in increasing benefit order, heavy spring, progressive spring, bump stop at end of travel, 30kg load cell, 60 kg load cell, 90 kg load cell, rumble effect at desired % of max force, hydraulic with pressure sensor.
Everyone continues with the fascination with direct drive [feedback] while the largest benefit will come from brake pedal feedback/upgrades.
Hey, by the way, 2:12.4 is killing it. Please share your tune.

Thanks for all the input for my braking question guys. Good stuff.
In my efforts to have a better brake, I noticed I was having to push the peddle with extra effort just to over come the spring it has. That made me think about "leverage" over the peddle. The peddle is NOT ADJUSTABLE, and neither is my foot. So in order to gain leverage I needed to place the pressure on the peddle higher up. Well, what about placing a pad under my heel? I found a 3/4' neoprene pad and stuck it on the base plate where the heel marks are and sure enough I now have the control I needed over the spring it is loaded with. Best of all it was cheap!

at Circuit de Sainte Croix-B
January 28th, 2022​

Gentlemen, strap your racing boots up, and buckle your harnesses tight....this one at Sainte Croix is going to be intense. A very technical track with many blind corners and apexes, and sections that you must get right or pay in seconds. The draft, especially on the back straight is very strong. Expect to see alot of back and forth shuffling of positions, and with the pace that has been reported by many drivers in practice sessions this week, it will certainly make for some enduring battles for single positions. Looking forward to this event.

As always mentioned, patience, minimal mistakes, and great lap consistency yields the best results.
Good luck to all drivers attending tonight's event.

Again, a reminder to all drivers to be patient, especially in the opening laps and busy race traffic. Hold your lines and observe your opponent's corner rights when in close battles. Lets continue to uphold the standards that Snail is best known for.

Only area in question, is Turn 1:
Drivers must make every effort to keep 2 wheels on or inside the white line on the green painted asphalt area of turn 1.

2 wheels on or inside the white line on runoff areas, or on the red/white curbing at all times.
(Corners can be clipped aggressively, but keep it legal)

Fuel could become a factor for this event dependent upon gearing and driving style. Be sure to adapt your strategy accordingly.


As a reminder to all drivers, please verify your weight, and apply any issued and required success ballast based on the chart HERE.

Also, drivers are reminded that this series implements a success ballast and class graduating structure. Be sure to secure as many points as you can, even if its towards the back side of the grid....They add up over the 2 races in the event night.
See Tab 2.3 in the first post if you haven't already for Success Ballast details.

I enjoyed the battles today! Massive apology to mr @Harry Rowley for the incident in race 2. I was very focused on the guy in front and getting a good exit on the penultimate corner, certainly was not expecting a move there but you are a very fast guy and I shouldve expected it and been more aware. Not the best race for me needless to say but it was still good fun. Cant wait till the next race.

Usually, I just Broadcast to YouTube for the replay broadcasts, but this was a gallery capture, and then a share to YouTube. Gotta love technology. Was an awesome battle.

Event #6
at Sainte Croix-B
January 28th, 2021​

Spoiler: Race Report

We are now at our halfway point of Season 3, and I believe Sainte Croix-B for Event #6 gave us our first glimpse at how close the rest of this season can be, especially as the success ballast begins to take hold of our faster drivers. Battles were raged across both races and across most of the field, with the final 3 laps of Race 2 being the highlight of the event with a 5 way race for 2nd place to the finish line. Rather than go into a long descriptive text of what all went down, I managed to get the broadcasts together and provided below, so I'll keep it short.
Race 1 started with some intensity in the opening laps trying to keep up with @fruitloop31 and @Roman_GT23 , but ultimately I was victim to @LSGtheSkyChef and @Xradkins attacks, yielding 5th and 6th and settling in at 7th. I thought I was closing the gap to Xrad a few times, just for him to turn on the jets and run away to open the gap back up. That was pretty much it for me in Race 1.
Race 2 was epic. Battles with @Noob01_lmdead , @Phlano099 , @fruitloop31 , and @Roman_GT23 which ultimately raced to the finish line.

And @MrDonovan with a dominant effort in both races, especially in Race 2 where his patience and pace paid off in an impressive last to 1st climb.
Have a look through the replay broadcasts, and especially, at the aforementioned final 3-5 laps of Race 2. Definitely an entertaining watch. 😉
And please, feel free to share your battles and perspectives if you'd like.

Might be a little late to this party, but finally had a chance to watch the final hour of the 24 hours of Daytona, and what a dramatic race and finish in the GTD PRO Class between the #9 and #2 Porsches. Scroll to 6:06:00 of this video (about 6 minutes left). Epic battle that raged for hours and ended in this duel. Awesome.
