Confused racer - How can people say online play works?

Let them go by and stay out of the pack then run clean sectors. Eventually you'll be running with like-minded racers. The racing etiquette tutorials basically say to do just that and it's the best suggestion I've seen and the best luck I've had.

So eventually you'll be in a race where everyone drives clean but also battling it out to be at the back of the pack? How long will a race last?

I'm hoping things will smooth out. A few patches to fix SR system, give it time to weed out the kids who crash at every turn. Also when championships starts I think we will see more serious players as time progresses.
