1966 Corvette it started as...

Eight years ago Glen, who has owned this Vette since new, decided to build what he calls a "wild Pro Street dream." The car now sports a one-off full-tube chassis and custom lift-off body panels that were hand-formed and painted in Glen's garage. The 9:1 compression 468 big-block, which is force-fed by a pair of Mighty Demon 750 carbs, a B&M 6-71 Mega Blower, and a Nitrous Express rail port wet nitrous system, is set back 5 inches, creating a favorable 49/51 percent weight bias. Power is transmitted via a JW Performance manual-shift Turbo 400 back to a 3.50:1-geared, Detroit Truetrac-equipped Strange 9-inch. Rear suspension is an adjustable four-link with a Panhard bar and coilovers, while the front is out of a Z51-package C4 Corvette. And that's just scratching the surface.

Might as well have just started from nothing since all the Corvette was thrown away

Do you know anything about that truck in the background? It's a crew cab but also an extended cab with a short bed

Wow, I didn't even notice that the first time. Unfortunately I don't, but that swap is popular on older trucks so maybe it was some kind of concept?

^ There is a small company in Oklahoma who does conversions like this for a while now...

I never remember Ford every having a concept like that.

I know that there companies that do the conversation by I saw it in back of the Mustang design study which would be at Ford facility. I was thinking that it could be something made by Ford themselves.

That is where Hennessey gets the Raptor SUV from and he pretends that he does the work himself. One of the many reasons why I hate Hennessey.

The first and last one looks photoshoped but it still looks cool. I've always liked 2 door SUVs.

That thing is awesome.

Well they don't always show everything to the public so who knows. I sure don't.

I know right? Those pivoting seats would have been awesome in the production car. What really shocked me is the 1970-1973 Torino was originally a Mustang prototype.

How cool.

Anyways, 1969 Holden Hurricane

Holden's first ever concept. Rather technically advanced for it's time too with such things like automatic air conditioning, rear vision camera and even an early form of "GPS" called Pathfinder. Really cool car. 👍

Edit: Quick video.

Kind of surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

1995 Chrysler Atlantic Concept

I have the Hot Wheels of this from like 1997
That makes the two of us.

Hot wheels...? Nvm, I have this very same car but not Hot Wheels. It's Matchbox for me.

Some of those concepts in the link were pretty interesting to look at.

It needs work but yeah I think that could have looked good with some more development.

I'm seeing more than a quite a few Capri Mk1 design cues in those design proposals. I'd imagine some of the design team worked on them both.
