My god, I got 2 of these in the mail today:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...cs_id=1024004&p_id=2504&seq=1&format=2&style=

They're MASSIVE! The USPS box felt like a cinderblock. The build quality of these things are easily 3 times better than the crap General Electric cable Target sells for 40 bucks per 8 ft. The metal plug separated from the plastic sleeve when I tried pulling the GE cable out of my ps3. What a ripoff. I now have 20 feet of cable total and paid less than a dollar per. They have ferrite cores as well. Total score.

Monoprice FTW!

Not really a review, so much as telling us that you have them.

But now you have 1080p! 👍

What do you mean not a review? I just told you that they're the best I've come across in the market, and they are a no-brainer when you see their price.

Yup!! Monoprice is the shiznit, I got a 25ft DVI/HDMI and a 25ft Toslink. I'm soooooo satisfied! And the price is laughable compared to monster at a retail store...ie Best buy
which costs 160 CDN$ for 3 ft!!!!! When I get my PS3 I'll order another Toslink and a HDMI.

Monoprice FTW indeed!!!!

When it comes to online versus in-store, I break it down like this:

I prepped for my PS3 by buying cables and such just before I bought the system. I went to Monoprice and bought the following:

1 6' HDMI cable.
1 6' HDMI>DVI cable (because I'd heard of HDMI handshake issues with my TV).
2 3' TOSLink optical cables (because they were out of the 6', but it worked out)
1 Three-way TOSLink switcher that allowed me to connect both consoles at once.

Total cost of all those items, including shipping, was $32.34.

The cost of just one 6' HDMI cable at Best Buy? $99.95.

'Nuff said.

I bought their 6 foot dvi-hdmi cable and a mini-dvi to dvi standard cable to set my macbook up onto my 52 inch tv. Works like a charm, and the cable only cost me like $10

Personally I've had very good experiences with Blue Jeans Cable http://www.bluejeanscable.com/. Purchased a 6' HDMI , 6' Digital Coax and 6-1 meter std "multi-channel audio" cables from them about 2 years ago for like $50 total and shipped. They've performed flawlessly naturally. 👍 If I were forced to nitpick, well the little HDMI stickers fell off the connector housing a few weeks ago. Like that matters.

Anyways, always good to have more than one option for comparison shopping.
