I was so excited to try Horizon 5 on my Playseat Trophy with Thrustmaster T248 but even with settings found online i feel like the game is worse on wheel.

I'm using the 900° rotation and i can't catch a single slide. Second i touch grass or dirt with car even with gas let off the car spins. It's frustrating more i play. I feel like i'm fighting with steering to get where i want to and T248 is slow to get wheel back to center.

Also AI feels funky they crash more when i play with wheel but second i touch the gamepad they act like they forgot how to drive 😒

I understand that most of these issues could be blamed on me as skill issue but i never thought that playing with wheel would be so hard. It makes me a little sad inside because GT3 RS is comming and i guess i have to earn it with gamepad then.

Holding slides on a lower powered wheel is not easy. The only advice I have for you is to reduce rotation down to say 450 degrees and practice spinning the wheel yourself to help it counter steer since the motor in the wheel isn't powerful enough by itself.

I really thought it would be a step up from gamepad but it feels toy-like. Pedals are nice but the wheel rim is small, mostly plastic and light yet it won't turn fast even with Boost setting enabled in TM Control app.

The wheel is fine for circuit racing where you need accuracy and control. But drifting is a whole different thing- it needs midrange or high end wheels with enough power to spin the wheel fast enough to simulate an actual car: just watch how fast the wheel spins in a real car while drifting.

This is a short example. He controls the wheel sometimes, but lets it spin when needed:

You can adjust, though. Just get used to spinning the wheel yourself to help it along. Then you can enjoy the accuracy without hating the maximum spin speed to much,
