Yes you do need to be in the same place and the team PSN is the PSN ID the team would race with on the day.
 
VLN = Torture.

Grid position is irrelivant in endurance racing; can we back out of the race if we so choose?

Short answer, no, the vln isn't really to decide grid positions but more for everyone to get to grips with how the other teams drive, it does determine where start but that will all change by turn one, what we care about is knowing that some isn't going to take everyone out in turn one
 
Ah, I think I was looking at the event incorrectly. I thought it was going to be one 9 hour race for all three drivers.
 
^ The VLN is a mini-series in which each driver completes three separate three hour races. The twist is that two other drivers from the team are also doing their own three hour races and the results are defined by the combined time of all three drivers.
 
There is a small change to the sign up structure for this year

To sign up for this years race you MUST have:

You have to be able to race in the CSS and VLN, You cannot just sign up for the N24 race itself.

Team of 2 minimum drivers + 1 team manager on Skype (does not have to be a driver)

This does not mean that 2 people can sign up, you must have 3 people sign up but the 3rd person does not have to be a Driver, Teams are required to remain in Skype contact with all other teams and stewards at all times.

If there is interest, then there is also a possibility of running a GT4 class along side the GT3 Class allowing some of the slower teams a chance at a podium if they do not feel up for fighting in the GT3 cars.

Official Announcement from CORE HQ

This is the official Unveiling of the CORE Nürburgring 24 hour Car specs. Its going to be a great year and great race with the multi class system in place giving the less experienced teams a chance to fight for top spots in class around the gruelling 24 hours. 9 teams have signed up to the 12 spots available, Who will take the final team spaces ready for the Car selection series starting in september?

A question about these new classes. If everyone wants to go in the top one, how do we decide who gets to do it. Or can everyone be in that class with multiple of each car?

there is 2 of each car available so 10 SP9 cars are available, if more want in SP9 then we shall have to organise accordingly but teams will sign up to the class they want before the CSS starts
