what has happened to the new corvette, i mean its lost all its soul in the C6, the C5 had a lot of charisma, this one does not.

It's losing its curves and going for the sharp, edgy look that I don't like. I wish they would keep the 2000 year look. One of the best looking in my opinion.

Im sure that it will have plenty of charisma in person. Plus thats just the base model coupe. Wait for the Z06 version to be shown.

On the spy pics, it resembles too much of the Caddy XLR luxo-roadster (which it was based).

That was a good find 359! The Vette obviously is edgier than before. The only gripe I have with the Vette is that Chrysler Crossfire-like interior design, though it was vastly improved compared to the C5.

In fact the front-end can mistakingly identified as the Ferrari 360 Modena.

Oh, ****. That'd better not be the final version. The front looks like a 360 Modena-RX7-Viper cross. The back is too narrow and high, and it should have fixed lights. That does NOT look good. Especially for a Vette. I mean, what were the designers on, crack!?!? That's just TERRIBLE. *Shudders*
Although the interior is decent.
I guess we'll have to wait for the official unveiling at NAIAS in a couple weeks.

The only upside is that it's gonna have more power. I've heard upwards of 400 in base trim.

I would have to say that Corvette actually might have caught my attention again. I haven't liked anything after '69 for a long time, but this C6 concept looks very promising. At least one american car co. is making efforts to interest people in the sports car buying field.

I agree with you, Matt. I had the perfect opportunity to get a C5 last summer before deciding with the G35 Coupe. But, there's just something about their character and styling that I didn't much care for. But now...wow...this is just an incredible looking car, in my opinion. When I saw the new Chevy commercial with the C6 in it I thought they were coming out with a new, smaller Viper. The front (hood and lights) and the side look like they were influenced from the SRT-10 Viper.
There is some resemblence.

Is it me or does the headlight's have a small bit of Viper SRT-10 look in em?
