that the clip in the GT5 trailer which shows two cars racing side by side on what looks like a runway,is some type of speed trial against youself? what i mean is, for eg you race along the runway in say a nissan and set a certain time and then decide to see if if you can beat the time in a BMW and the car you race against is your previous time set in the Nissan? Am i making sense here? Well i know what i mean.....

Whoa, easy tiger....sorry if i upset you but believe me there is no attempt to entice people in, if you read the post, i could'nt even phrase the question correctly never mind a title in the subject!I'm a new member to this group and I hope to join in with most discussions about the GT Series and of course the GT5 and i have no intention of hacking people off but.... oh well never mind!! i think that the above post was probably my 4th or thereabouts post to this group so thanks for the welcome and the comments...pathetic,stupid,entice and easily...

It's an interesting idea stepvan but I think its very unlikely, at most i would expect to see a ghost car overlaid over yours for comparisons.

You are probably right Stevisiov, but sometimes when i play GTP i afterwards think how much PD will want to improve GT5 over GT4, what extras will be included etc...i never for eg thought that WRC or Nascar would be in GT5 and then they release the trailer and wow! it got me all excited about what else they might include which will blow me away!!There are threads about track editing, real time weather, livery editor and loads more but i still think and hope there will be lots more surprises.

Not that i dont agree the title is a little basic but,

you are aware you can hover you mouse over the thread title to get a preview of the first post? If you have done this you would have known the thread topic and not been so 'stupid' as to be 'easilly' 'enticed' into the 'pathetic' thread.

I don't get it, how is this different to ghost cars in time trials? Unless you're suggesting the car is actually solid rather than a ghost, but that will either help (slipstreaming) or hinder (you hogging your own line, forcing you to either slow down or change your line) your time, in either case it wouldn't be an accurate representation of how fast you can actually drive.

Or do you mean doing drag races against yourself? Even then I don't see why you wouldn't just race against a time... I get your point about PD adding so much that we didn't expect (WRC and NASCAR licenses) but, and I mean no offence here, but I don't see how drag racing against an actual car would be a revolutionary new feature for everyone to get excited about!

As said, yes, it IS Dunsfold.

Either there's a runway drag mode, or those two LMPs are just battling on the whole track, like sometimes on the show with road cars.

Guys, they just put 2 cool race cars on a nice scenery for the trailer, just like the NASCARs that drive in the wrong direction in one of the pit scenes.

This is why its called "concept" trailer, its a cinematic video to give you a small glimpse of some of the things you will see in the game.
