havent seen anyone mention this but i would love to have the old wheel system from gt3 brought back in gt5, sucks havin to go to the gtauto everytime i wanna change my wheels, also with used i would like to see just one big list....ya its kinda cool that they rotate everyday but theres a few select rims that i have to wait the full 30 day rotation to get...maybe im just lazy

also, the ability to transfer an entire setup from one car to another, say u get bored of ur white evo VIII and want a black one like me, would be a lot easier to just transfer the entire setup over imo

feel free to add ur input 👍

yes, I would definitely like to be able to save settings to a separate file again. I rely heavily on excel spreadsheets to store my settings at the moment - frankly it is a pain.

Agreed with the setup save.

I'd like to see that in 5. It really is bothersome having to get a notebook or something to write down current settings for a car.

I also like the old 'wheels' system, too.

Speaking of saving, I would like the ability to delete the profile right from the game, rather than having to eject the disc and go to the memory card to delete it. That way, if you pick the wrong car, you can easily start over.

Either that, or have autosave be optional. You can either have it "every event" or "every time you change cars". Well, I don't care if it saves for every event, I just want to be able to go back and pick a different car.

What about a paint booth?? Change the color of your car, and your wheels if you want.
Wheels could be chrome, black, bronze, gunmetal..
Nothing too crazy for body paint..

this has been discussed plenty of times....

another thing i just thought of, not sure if this has been discussed...but the ability to have customizable sub folders to organize ur garage.....right now, that would be a damn blessing for me

I think the paint shop would cure the need for saved settings, (as far as wanting to switch car color) especially when you consider that you have 3 optional setting setups already.
Also, all wheel should be able to be bought everyday, more real-life, plus I wouldnt waste so much money getting my black 5-stars w/ a chrome lip.
Yes, Amen to the mem card - 90-something % to zero, in 2 seconds or less - sucks!
And how about RPM numbers for the powerband? GT1 had it, so wtf?
Sub-folders? Yes, please
And finally, I havent heard this yet....... The ability to remove vehicle weight reductions! (maybe not realistic, but there's plenty of other holes, so why not have a convenient one, for a change?)

On the option of having a completely transferable set of wheels, I agree, but with certain conditions. I too missed the old system we were used to since wheels were transferrable (debutted in GT2). An option I'd have is, instead of trading them in for new ones, I'd want to be able to actually CHOOSE if I want to keep the old wheels or trade them in for new ones. I'm okay with the manufacturer-specific wheels. You may call them whatever you want- wheels, rims, ice, but I'm okay with the old style, so I wouldn't change that.

Now the second idea. In Gran Turismo 1, if you bought two of the same car, EVERY LAST MODIFICATION except the Racing Modification were easily transferred to the other car. I did hate the idea that left but, I think there would be good reason to this. Why would you want two identical cars set up the exact same way? I'm not saying it's a bad idea to get two of the same car, but you don't need to have two of the same car with the same setup. You mentioned the Lancer Evo VIII, so this is what you can do instead of have two cars set up the same way. You can have two Lancers. Based on your call, you can set one up to be your track racing all-star. Then, you can make the other car as a rally-exclusive car. A street car for rally. Call me Dr. John, and let me offer you my remedy for this problem. If you're preparing a car for track racing (circuit, drifting, etc), have one car, then prepare another for rally/off-road. You can also have two cars for this situation: you can buy parts for a similar variant of your car, and test out certain non-permanent enhancements (permanent includes Weight Reduction, Port Polish, etc.) to it.

To "Classic Anycar" now. That Auto Save wasn't very fun, was it? I'd toggle what should actually be Auto Saved. When I get into a car, I don't really think anything needs to be saved. I'd actually want to have manually loading games make a comeback. I'd hate having to go on a three-race losing streak and have it reflected in my results. I'd surely want to know what situations I can toggle for Autosave. These include buying parts for a car, getting into a car, finishing/retiring from a race, leaving from the pits of a race, and all that.

I don't mind a 3-race losing streak going on my record, all that does is enable people to obtain false statistics. BUT, with that said, to keep it that way, they need to make it known how many A-Spec points a race is worth, and I also think there should be no limit on A-Spec points. In other words, if a 350HP S2000 gets 200 points, a 300HP S2000 should get ??? however many more it deserves, and perhaps suspension, and gears should count for points?
