CRAP a'Corsa ClubPS4

Yeah @nosoks but I really suck at it!

I have been playing games since long time without any clutch, without any H shifter and most importantly with left braking!

Yesterday it was the first time I try it! And it was AWFUL!
I just could not brake well with my right foot! Under brake the car would tend to rotate immediately (dunno why and didn't happen on paddle shifters with left foot braking) and that deadzone of RPM during downshift is killing me (RPM goes down fast and the car kinda stalls).

I know I need more time and practice and probably need to practice heel & toe technique but for now it's hard as hell and I'm much slower!

But I'm kinda of a perfectionist pure guy, so I'll take hardness and realism over easiness and un-realism! I love simulating real life as much as possible!

Oh and I'm on the G29 too and I missed lots of shifts (new shifter) so I suppose I need to practice and get used to it! When I tried to shift to fast, seems I went into gear just before or after the clutch full-press so it went into neutral instead! When I take it a bit easy, it works great! Need to time those shifts better!

@HammyMansell any tips on this hammy?! Guide?!
I tried to youtube some guides but didn't find much!

@Georgeagea My wheel is a Thrustmaster T150 with the basic pedals that come with it. I have no clutch with the H shifter, as you probably know, you have to lift off the gas to change each gear, up or down. For sure it was tricky for me to start with when i got mine last Xmas mate.

Just practice and patience will get you there.... It's hard at first to even hook the right gear, especially when shifting to the "upward" positioned gears (3rd/5th/7th) A good combo to get the feel of it, and into the rhythm, would be the Mazda MX5, or if you want something a bit quicker, the Porsche 911 R is great fun, at Silverstone, a track that isn't too demanding. Build up to it each lap, and you'll soon get the feel for it.

My driving style hasn't changed since getting the shifter....I maybe have an unusual driving style at times in that i turn the car in, then brake (depending on the car, and corner i'm approaching) and then sort the car out when/if it starts sliding. I've always been able to control a car and feel when the grip is going away. My technique is more difficult, but i feel it's faster overall. I have never used TC as i feel it "restricts" the car, and i use about 40% stability control at times.

Like i said, bit by bit to start with, then try and go quicker and quicker slowly. Good luck buddy! ;)

Good work guys ans thx hammy for that explanation!

I forgot you have a T150! And of course i know the technique  coz i drive a manual car in real life, but it's completely different when you are at such speeds on the limit and wanna do that procedure (lift gas, hit clutch, change gear, lift clutch, hit gas again) in a tenth of a second! The car feels destabilised the moment you hit the clutch to downshift! Of course i need to practice more to get over this and Heel & toe technique seems inevitable!

Hit us with the next TT man!
Why not consider the holy trinity of supercars? (mclaren p1, la Ferrari and Porshe 918 spyder) (see my profile pic). We can do that along 3 consecutive TTs on the same track to get a better feeling for the cars and see which is fastest! And what track is better for a long run other than Nordshlife?! (i also want to learn that track :cheers:).

No worries mate glad to help...And i'm relieved to know that you know the technique lol! And sure it's just practice practice and more practice really, good luck with it! ;)

Thanks @SpaceBreed.

Sorry... this was done online. I'll give it a try in hotlap mode

Hi mate welcome to the TT events, and yes have another go in Hot Lap mode for it to count. The conditions are above too regarding time of day, weather etc for you to use! With a stock setup and factory settings too. ;)

Thanks mate... The lobby was set using the conditions of the TT.

Will be interesting to see the difference between online and hotlap mode. I actually hardly use that mode. I prefer practise with penalties on
