CRAP a'Corsa ClubPS4

IMG_1578.JPG I improved, but I think that's it for me. Unless I feel like banging my head on some walls later this week.

Alright lads. Finally got round to making a video of a good mclaren f1 gtr lap on Silverstone national. I never beat my fastest time (1.03.689) but I got fairly close with a 1.03.890

At the start I go through my tuning settings to show that all of it is stock with only fuel and tyres changed. The only assist I used was ABS because it's a complete deathtrap!

Most of it is my struggling to get close to my pb so Skip to 1:02:10 to see my best lap

BTW no video editing software or photoshop used in this lap time chaps:tup:

Great stuff @Moloko .....Do you use full stability control? I have mine at 50% whatever the car. Although i didn't use ABS as per the factory settings with the McLaren F1 lol, i just lowered the brake pressure as much as possible, and put myself in "Twinkle Toes" mode! :D

I hope you can still do the TTs from time to time @Moloko, you're always welcome mate!

@Moloko @HammyMansell

I see the TT always carry the factory setting requirements. Does this not apply to assists?

Yes @krsht3 it applies to the assists also. :)

OH!!!! Damn! That explains a lot!
I always ALWAYS run with 0% stability control!
Now I know why I struggled so much in the Mclaren P1 in Zanvoort and most of you didn't show any sympathy with me!

EDIT: I think parameters should be clarified more from now on!
TC, ABS, SC, etc...

Haha to be honest @Georgeagea the Stability Control has always been open, as depending on what wheel you use, or gamepad, it can make a difference to how the car is around the corners, so SC can be run however one wants.

But as "Factory Settings" implies, as the car used in a TT is setup by the manufacturer (nearly always the newer cars) with the assists, they should be used, as they are the factory settings! :D Lol

Nah man I turn anything off that will slow me down. Zero stability and zero traction control!

Ok mate, just remember if the car has TC as the factory setting (or ABS), you have to leave it on the number it is set to. 👍

Like you i hate all assists, in PCars1, and now 2, i never use them. The McLaren P1, and pretty much all the other cars, for me are spoilt for having all those aids as standard, it makes them so "numb" to drive.

Just to make it clear, from the next TT we'll use 0% Stability Control, i'll mention it in the post! :)

But stability control man is a common setting to anyone! It's not like a wheel or gamepad! Bad analogy there mate!

Besides, look at Pcars2, they include the SC in the Factory settings (so TC, ABS and SC). Assetto treats TC and ABS only while obviously there should be SC since some cars in reality have that and some doesn't!

Anyways not making an issue of it or anything :) I'll probably still end last anyways :P

What i meant was depending on the rotation of a wheel, it can make the car more twitchy, and on edge. For example up until just over a year ago, i had a T100 with only 270 degrees rotation lock to lock, and all cars in PCars1(the time i had the T100) were pretty twitchy with it.

But a year ago i got a T150, with the 5 different rotations available like a T300, and the thing was so much better, and adjustable. So for that, people with more basic wheels, or a gamepad, where each little movement is "magnified" and exaggerated, the Stability Control can help keep the car less twitchy around those bends, although of course you can learn and be just as fast without it through practice lol.

And you won't be last @Georgeagea , because i still haven't set a time yet haha! :P I need to get on and do a time!

You won't be last all the time and frankly i have come to appreciate being last for most of the time.
gives me reason to keep pushing harder, check back a few pages and see how many times i have taken tail position.
All in the good name of having a blast though.

Had a quick go over 5 laps WITH 0% Stability Control!!! :dopey:

51.471!!

Seems not using SC made much difference anyway haha! :D

We finish this TT tonight fellas, get your times in!

Holly molly now that's fast i couldn't even keep the car away from the barriers yesterday so i just gave up, i already have SC on 0 though.
Maybe i will get a chance to have another go before midnight.

Short shift those gears Spacebreed, and everyone, it helps a lot....And roll out of the corners, don't touch the gas until you're going straight, way past the apex. 👍

Here's the new TT:

Conditions:

Time: 11:00h
Weather: Mid Clear
Temp: 26C
Track: Optimum
Stability Control: 0%

To be done in hot lap mode using stock setup, factory settings and 0% Stability Control, but you can adjust tyre compound, fuel and brake pressure. This TT will end on Wednesday night, good luck! :)

I did not want to pick up any DLC, but I went ahead and bought the Porsche pack that included this car. It's crazy how much it would cost to pick up all the cars. Hopefully you'll select some more from the ones included with this one as the Porsche's are fun.

I'm learning the track and only had time for a short test this morning. I'm not not going to bother posting my 1:40.xxx as I am certain I can improve on that. I'll have time to get some runs in later today and tomorrow. Wish me luck. LOL

Also, very nice times SB and Adam.
