good stuff, this is taking off like a rocket. and more north americans seem to be finding us! nothing against you folks on the other side of the world, but most of the races so far have been while I've been sleeping, hehe. I'm in GMT -4. 12 hours difference from Aussie land!

Well my PSN ID is the same as it is here, e10rice. I'll start adding people when I get home from work today before I'm off to finally see "Senna".

I'll be on once i'm home and update.
(Very disappointed i missed out on a primo "that's what she said" in the first couple posts, oh well, next time).
@ Heathen, can you remind me when the enduro is or update the first post? (I forgot what time, track, vehicle regulations, etc and would prefer not having to go through the now 20+ pages of the old thread. also if any interested or if you want to put this in the first post as well http://www.csgnetwork.com/timezncvt.html (time zone converter) it can only imagine this coming in handy for those racing that we plan but aren't part of the "regular schedule"

Thanks to those that sent me a friend request. Replied to those last night.

I was just scouring the thread and will be sending some FR to others within a timezone or 2 of me. I usually race 9-12 in my timezone (EDT-2hrs) 2 or 3 nights a week. If I miss anyone that also races around that time, don't hesitate to send me a request. I'm trying to populate my friends list so I can get into more online racing.

Can I join? Wolframium_ is tag

Sure thing! Add me on PSN bro. I'll be online in couple days & will confirm then!

I'm looking at next Sunday mate at this time so from now it will be 8 days.

I do want to do an "impromptu" one on mon or tues tho but not heard from anyone so am uncertain if anyone else is keen?

Guys, rather than all adding eachother as PSN friends, to ensure that you can all race with each other the OP should create some specific PSN accounts and Load up GT5 on each of those accounts and also set up the private lounges on all of them. All members of this group should add those PSN accounts only and only join the private lounges of those PSN accounts. The PSN accounts do not need to be online for any member added as a friend to join those lounges.

So in theory all you need is a couple of PSN accouns, and if you have 100 people added to them everyone can race each other with out the need to befirend all of those people.

An example of the PSN accounts you should create.

CRAP_Casual (for casual racing)
CRAP_TestNtune (for tuning/testing)

Crap_Lobby_1 (for official races/events)
Crap_Lobby_2
Crap_Lobby_3

Create as many PSN accounts as is needed for the amount of members in the group.

I created a similar Lobby System for my Club. You can read more here if it don't make sense.

If you guys do this, it will be much easier to
race with each other, as well as bringing new guys as people wont have to send multiple friend request to join any particular persons private lounge.

PS

the OP can also audit the accounts, and for any cheaters/rammers or idiots can be deleted from the accounts and wont have access to the private lounges.

Cheers

Ryan

Any new folks please make sure you add me on PSN :)

Hey PAPPA can you tell me how to do this. I have some unused PSN accounts that I used for duping way back when. I might be able to use one (or more) for this purpose. Do I need to keep my PS3 on all the time? What about using the PS3 for a blu-ray player? Can I watch a movie while it's hosting a race? I don't think I could change the names of these accounts so they wouldn't likely have CRAP in the name. If there is interest and it won't hog my PS3 I may host a couple rooms.

This is nothing short of sheer genius!!

Thanks Pappa, I will do this when back from my short holiday on Sunday.

Thank you very much mate, this will save so much time & I know it will work.

Thanks again bro :D

All

I am off for 2 days for a friends wedding so I wont be racing until Sunday afternoon & I may be without Internet altogether!

When I get back I will create the dummy accounts as per PAPPACLART's previous post & will inform all of progress.

See ya all on the track in a few days!

PS: can someone race my BoBs when I'm gone if possible?

No worries mate, I have been sitting on this little secret for a while, not sure if anyone else is doing it. But it works fantastically at my club.

I posted up in GT planet just now also. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=229785

All you have to do is either use existing accounts, but better to create new ones and name them spefically, like CRAP_tesNtune etc. PS3 does not need to be on. I manage all of the members on my 6 accounts. Guys are racing in my private lobbies as we speak and my PS3 is off.

Edit

What is beeter also, is multiple people can manage these accounts, so yuou can give log on details to trusted friends/admins and they can help you maintain them etc.

And another thing: Great racing last night! A certain Heathen was waaaaaaay over the legal driving limit but he did have a blast! Well done to HK (Horizon Ken) again for showing us the way :)

Next rain filled race at the 'ring will be in heavy Lamborghini's

next Sunday should be fine for me. Monday or Tuesday is also good assuming it isn't while I'm at work or asleep so pretty much between 5pm to 10pm start time (a bit conservative since I'm not really sure what enduro is i.e.- 100 laps at kart space, 100 laps at Nür. Is it a Fiat 500 race or an Indy car. So yeah that's my long way to say I'm assuming it'll take around 2 hours, if less than start time can be later and I'll still be up for it).

Oh and if you want me to set up a couple accounts as well just tell me the name, I've got a few extra email addresses already and this way you won't have to accept all the friend requests and stuff. And that idea is brilliant.

Awesome dude, will let you know re times.

Will do rooms by region possibly; example being NA Casual, EU/Oceania Casual and also a master casual account (CRAP casual) & the racing ones too... I'll think on it for now, any other ideas from anyone?

bare in mind, 100 PSN friend on each account and max 16 in a lobby.

So if you have 100 guys in your club.

Say 33 are europe, 34 are USA and 33 are asia/australia etc

You could have them added on all of the account you create. But if you wanted to sep them and have scope to run a larger group, then you could create 9 lounges, 3 for each time zone.

So in theory you could have a club with 300 members split into 3 time zones, with 3 or more accounts serving each 100 members of each time zone.

You could of course have 1 account for each time zone, but with 100 people on an account, and only 16 in a lobby you may come accross times when 50 want to race but only 1 lobby they have acces to, so 3-5 lounges for each 100 is a good place to start but depending on how regular your group is you may need to make more.

As far as I am aware there is no limit to PSN accounts/users on your PS3.

Got your Bob's racing in a few last night mate along with some of the other guys ( did a few so I forget who I used) and will keep em going over the weekend. If anyone else is running these, my Bobs need it desperately (a few of them got there first runs last night)
Have a good holiday. Catch ya next week.

How do you do the remote race thing by the way (im fairly new to bspec btw... just started the other day)

:dunce:

In the remote race menu in your community tab there's an icon that looks like a monitor. Click this and it sets your PS3 as a server in standby mode. Once this is done (leaving the PS3 on but you can turn the monitor off as you don't race these from the PS3 but from a PC with Internet browser - explorer, safari, Firefox etc.)
Now open the GT5 homepage in your browser and log into 'My Home' using your PSN ID. Now you'll see the same basic thins you get in the profile tab in GT Life. There is a blue bar in the profile tab that you launch the 'ready to start remote race' click this then you select race, drivers and then start.
The PS3 MUST REMAIN ON AND IN 'SERVER STANDBY MODE' FOR THE RACES TO RUN.
To utilize your own B-spec drivers they must be set to 'online' or they won't appear in your drivers list from the PC. also the drivers set to online CANNOT be used in normal b-spec events.
Hope this helps. If not all is available at the GT5 website.

Go to drivers list & open a driver & set him to share with friends!!

Hey bro can you send me the link for iPhone browser page for remote racing?

Do that & I'll run your guys all day when I'm back!

Also an FYI: not sure if anyone noticed but if your BoB loses a remote race it won't reflect on his win/loss record! My guys lost a few but they still only showing as losing 1 race which is what they were on before I shared them!
