Due to personal issues I`ve not been on much (maybe raced 3 times since CRAP was formed), but anyway, maybe it`s because of the break, but I`ve been going into the non enduro rooms at around 9-10pm gmt almost every day over the past 3 weeks & not once has anyone been in there.

Before [PC mode]`the fesitivities`[/PC mode] there would usually be 1 or 2 random people knocking about, but lately there`s not been 1.

As I say, it`s probably to do with the break, but I`d`ve thought that`d mean more people would be on, not none.

I was worried that CRAP had disbanded through lack of use, but as there are still new members signing up, this is obviously not the case.

Where is everyone? or have you all moved into the enduro rooms (which I currently don`t have)?

We're still out there Nismo, just keep checking the rooms, Enduro 2 has been in use a bit lately for HP training for the 24 hr in February so it might be worth FR'ing the Enduro rooms and check them too. Send me a FR on PSN and I will msg you when I see you on.

Actually I've changed to my Heathenpride lounge, we had instability so I switched up as per your brilliant suggestion Ben, prob shoulda mentioned that

We absolutely are not disbanding. CRAP is bigger than ever & we are generally in the casual lounge.

To give a brief outline the below PSN ID's are used as per the description:

CRAP_CasualRaces - (CR1): This is our daily lounge, if no one is in it feel free to hang in there for 15-20 min as if there is one person in there then others will come 👍

CRAP_Races_2 - (CR2): Overflow for the above lounge.

CRAP_Free_Run - (CFR): This is for only testing & tuning & no races, though recently I unknowingly participated in a couple races in this room

CRAP_Enduro_1 - (CE1): Our lounge for monthly enduro events, empty except for scheduled events.

CRAP_Enduro_2 (CE2): This lounge is our second enduro room. Last Enduro we had enough for 2 races so we held 2x simultaneous races (50 laps of Spa) in the two rooms, it was awesome.

Lastly, as per the above reply to BNG, I am using my private lounge (no longer E2 lounge) for practice for the upcoming online 24hr race, feel free to drop in anytime you see me online

Hey bro

Yep decent races and all sorts of conditions & races.

We generally use tyres according to car choice but sometimes we chuck on any ol' tyre on any ol' car, just depends on what people want to run. Organised events are pre determined in regards to tyres etc but the daily room is a veritable oasis of many different race combo's... From tank cars at Monaco (seriously, more fun cannot be found on a racetrack!) to High powered race cars to Schwimmenwagens painted Fluro (more hilarity) at Tsukuba & everything inbetween!

We use custom tracks sometimes too just to spice it up

And no you won't get booted for bumps, all we ask is our members to try & further their race craft by trying to race without bumps but, by our very nature of being casual, that is not always realistic. Just tonight I helped wipe out (sorry Mer1 ) a regular (& myself) on full damage at Nurb 24hr track, we both had to race 20 odd km with farked cars Another race saw a similiar incident with another member (complaints have been lodged Para ) & our cars were rendered nearly immobile haha

If you're in to having fun with a good dose of rivalry minus the douchebaggery encountered in online public rooms then feel free to drop in & have a race 👍

I pride myself on being very clean, so when it gets crowded on the run to turn one I tend to brake if it looks like I'm gonna punt someone, and I then get used as the barke by someone else either not watching or being too competitive. I also tend to loose out 'cos I run road tyre on road cars, everyone else seems to be on soft racing rubber.

Hmmm...Tank Car round Monaco....does it have a reverse gear?

Plus I'm tired of going to rooms where the races consist of X2010s to skylines to anything else you bring, and you get booted because you are not one of their friends. So, I'm not really much of a gamer, but I'm a HUGE fan of GT5. I haven't really broken into on-line racing, probably for the same reason as others on this thread. I'm consider myself a fairly competent driver but by no means in a league with some of the hard core GT addicts on this forum.

When I saw this thread it seems like this is the kind of CRAP I really need to get my feet wet on-line.

So a couple questions... is it possible to go into a room on-line and simply "watch" a few races to get a feel for things? What's the best way to "break in" without doing something stupid and breaching some kind of on-line etiquette?

Let me know and maybe I'll try it out this weekend

Sounds like you are where I was at not so long ago, frustrating isn't it!

You can absolutely swing by a room and get a feel for it, no problem there at all. FR the PSN ID CRAP_CasualRaces and also mine, Heathenpride, and I will add you later tonight.

As for 'breaking in' you just hop in a car and see how ya go we will know that you're new and won't give you a hard time, hell you wouldn't get a hard time anyway mate, that's just the type of guys we are

You're on report for this one too HP. The judges are still meticulously reviewing the footage but your prospects don't look good

I'm choosing to ignore the fact that I did the same thing to you on the same track only recently. Put 2 tyres on the grass in the Green Hell and you're only asking for trouble.

In all seriousness though this is what this group is perfect for. Giving it your best to stay clean/fair, but knowing you're not going to get CRAP from others when things go a little wrong. After all, what's racing without a few good crashes thrown in
