Hey guys!

Just read the opening spiel, this sounds like my kind of group! I've requested to join the group but wont really be able to do much until this arvo, with a 9-5 its hard to check the forum often!
Looking forward to getting involved in a daily run!
 
Well, I've got a quick question. I've been in the new members group for a couple weeks now and am wondering when I get bumped up to the bigger lobbies. I know that Heathenpride is out right now but jus wanted to see if anyone knew anything. Good night guys!!

Do you have membership of the CRAP_New_Members lounge Byegad, or any of the other CRAP lounges?

There are folks racing between those times alright as the AU/NZ contingent are generally online as it's their evening - plus there are some Brits online during the day too.

Am I right in thinking that Zulu is the UK time-band as used by the armed forces?

EDIT: Let me know and I can set you up with access to the CNM lounge. I'd say 11:00 til 14:00 GMT are good hours

I have all but the New members lounge. Crap, Crap 2, CRAP Enduro, CRAP Eduro2 and CRAP Freerun. Is that why I'm not finding anyone?
 
@byegad - if you have the other lounges, you don't need the CNM - they should have folks in them, mostly the best are CRAP Races; CRAP Free Run and CRAP Races 2

@Paddy and MjM - I'll send you CNM FRs so you can get in there and do some New Member racing! If you want access to the CRAP group pages, follow the link in my signature and HP bossman will add you when on GTP next.

Oh, a quick question too. I don't own a headset, so i'll be silent when in the CNM lounge and racing, is it suggested I should get a headset?
 
No worries, as for headsets, no need - quite a few don't use one so you'll not be alone mate - but it's your call.

We have all types, wheel and DS3 users at all levels of gameplay proficiency too.

the little round yellow icon will not show even if there is someone inside. all u have to do is to click on the teacup icon and a list will show who's in the lounge.

anyone can use the CNM lounge even when it's PSN is offline. that's the beauty of this system.

Go to the 'Community' tab under your profile pic, then scroll down through your friends list and look for the friend called 'CRAP_NEW_MEMBERS' and select it. Once it's loaded go to the 'My Lounge' coffee cup and select it. A window will open up showing who, if any, are in the room also giving you the option to join. Select join and race till your hearts content.

I just logged off for the day but should be back on tonight.

I'll probably be running Ferrari F1's on the Nurb 24hr track, I'm looking to set up a 6 hour enduro with them (or maybe LMP's) and will be running some test laps 👍

We need some more action in the New Members Lobby... Most of the time I go there it is empty :(

I have had a few good times with fellow member each time there has been some people in there though ;)

This I have noticed myself and it concerns me.

Being the 'gateway' to our main lounges it is imperative that it gets a lot more use; the problem is though the folks that were using it most have progressed to the main lounges.

I will be thinking on this some more, a lot more, because the current system is not working as intended.

If anyone has some ideas feel free to voice them here or pm me.

Post in the online now thread, or send a msg if you have crap members on psn. If i see someone is in CNM, I'll join the room

The problem with that is not everyone sees those posts immediately.

A good thing to do is subscribe to the thread and you get an email when a post is up. If you get that email to your phone then you know almost immediately as long as the phone is set to "push" emails every few minutes.

The other option is to get all the CRAP new members to friend each other but that's not going to work if you have a near full friends list.

There's a few things we can try but it's paramount that any new members don't get a consistently empty room :(

I'm thinking on it!
 
Even before seeing this, I sent out a PM to all CNM members asking for their approximate online times and time-zone. I'll be posting those as they come in on the CNM new members thread so everyone can check for likely or near-likely times.

Any other ideas though, I'd be interested in hearing.
