That was a fun race with a great turnout. I even led for a few laps. I think that was the first time I led any event. But of course my true skill kicked in shortly there after. Hope to catch another running tomorrow.
I'm hoping to get back into Gran Turismo and I figured this would be a good place to do so.
Are there any requirements for joining?
The updated forum looks good after a bit of maintenance.Everyone else: the forum is now open and out of maintenance mode 👍

micantonyjust be sure to leave the "recent threads" at the top, that is all i ever check anyway as it has everything that is actively going on in one click.
JohnScoonsBeardCould the front page show all recent threads as I believe currently it only shows the recent threads participated in so if someone only uses the front page they could easily miss new threads.
C.R.A.P...Casual Racing Affiliates Programme

A Little Bit Of History
C.R.A.P was started last year by Heathenpride, as a result of his frustration at the treatment he often received in public lobbies, just because he was a 'noob' and used driving aids. He wanted a group where people wouldn't be judged for being a new driver; where people would treat each other with respect, help each other out, and just generally have a good time.
Towards the end of last year CRAP was born and nearly 12 months later we have around 70 members from across the globe, 5 dedicated lounges and our own forum.
HP has asked me to take over our GTP presence which has been minimal since our forum was created as we needed to get ourselves settled in to the new site. As such HP is closing his original CRAP thread and this will be the new one, GTP CRAP Version 2.0 👍
I personally joined C.R.A.P back in February, as a terrible driver, new to GT5 and driving games altogether, using all the aids, and really struggling to improve. Thanks to the help and patience of my fellow CRAP-pers I now use only ABS on 1 and am loving every minute I spend behind the wheel. I like the fact that all the members have respect for each other, try their utmost to drive cleanly, and we have some fantastic banter. It isn't all just serious racing either, there are sometimes shenanigans going on too, one example is the time we raced tank cars at Monaco which was great fun!

Another excellent part of CRAP is that it is girl friendly! I even got my daughter to join and she loves it when she is able to get online, it really is a great group for anyone but if there are any female racers looking for a good respectful group then this is the one
So Is C.R.A.P. For You?
If you are a pro racer then probably not, unless you are looking for that casual driving experience, but if you are a new driver looking to improve, or an accomplished driver looking for some fun races with no pressure to have to take part each week, then C.R.A.P. may be the answer you are looking for. We have 5 lounges, and with a worldwide membership you can often find someone in your time zone to race with.
All members are free to use all the driving aids in our lounges. The only time they will not be allowed is during monthly Enduro race which only allows ABS on 1, and any other regular race event which will allow all aids except for SRF.
A new initiative Heathenpride has recently started is Full damage, No Aids racing (FDNA). This really focuses you, and seriously promotes clean driving, because it's a long way round the 'Ring if you get damage on the first corner! Believe me, I know!!
The FDNA nights are a way for members to experience the next level of racing and we have had a good response so far and would love to see any new members out there on Friday nights*
So How Do I Join?
If you think C.R.A.P. offers something you'd like to be a part of, just show your interest in this thread. We will be in touch! But be warned, you may find C.R.A.P takes over your life! (Do I sound like a stalker there? )
*Friday nights in Aus so around 11:30GMT.
Where do i sighn? sounds ideal to me. P.M me please?
JohnScoonsBeardThanks GTRacer. Someone should be in touch shortly.
Thanks GTRacer. Someone should be in touch shortly.
I msgd Lissa I thought but a) that might have been a dream or b) the poor dear has been under the pump in RL lately so that could be it too.
GTR, head to www.crap.boards.net and go from there, if you've not been fully processed by morning I shall get right on it.
great, thanks very much 👍
Realising that some people may not be sure if a club is for them, I am considering holding an 'open lounge' day, where you can pop in, meet a few others, and see if the club is what you want. It would run from 07.00 gmt to 19.00 gmt, giving everyone a chance to nip in at some point during that day.
Would there be anyone interested in this?
MeanElfHey thre folks. After an absence (well, time off for good behaviour) I'm back to help out around here.
Lissa is looking after things still but I'll be helping too, and taking up any slack in the registration process.
Looking forward to seeing you all out there.
gtracer2013open lounge sounds cool, pm me time/day and i see you guys online:tup:
I think the open lounges are pretty much for that reason. They are after all for anyone interested to see if the group is something for themSame here... I used to play in ordl beginner series but stopped because I can't commit the time. I was wondering if u can allow some of us to participate in some of the races as guests for the odd nights when were free?
