Here are the edited highlights of my moderately successful performance (for once) from last night. I've used a lot of video editing software professionally and while it's clearly nowhere near pro levels Share Factory works well and is pretty well thought out on PS4.



Here's another short clip of the TransAm race from Saturday. It's remarkable that I didn't hit a wall on that lap as I did on every other lap. Great sound.

I think it was down to the tyre pressures with the pit stops. My stops were all good (I just performed terribly!). The last thing I do is check the set up, take note of my tyre pressures and set up the pit stops accordingly. I had suffered with this issue before and found it was my tyre pressures after the pit stops. Its worth testing though because we all know the issues with the stops previously!

Yip, Same here. Pit stops have killed me on recent races. Lessons learned. Although sometimes I find I too can have off days and drive terribly. lol
Looking forward to the new patch.

Some epic racing last night with the little Clios (one of my favourite cars in the game). The Donnington race in particular I really enjoyed. It didn't start well though as at the end of the first qualifying lap I hit the invisible wall bug and ended up with no force feedback but decided to press on and managed to still secure pole position for the race.
I didn't make too good a start to the race and slid wide on the first corner dropping me to fifth but at least force feedback was working again .Got myself back up to 3rd but was then over 8 seconds back on 2nd place. I drove the socks off the car to cross the finish line still in 3rd place but only 0.8 seconds behind 2nd. If only I had had another lap! Brilliant fun!

I'm going to try running this tonight as follows.

I'll open the room at 7pm UK and keep it open so people can join as and when. SESSIONS WILL BE 30 MINUTES FOLLOWED BY A 1 LAP, 1 minute RACE. We can then select new cars and repeat.

I won't be driving for the first few sessions but will restart things after each one.

Car class will be set to any. I've tested this in a public room with Karts, Road cars, Formula cars and an Audi 90 Quattro all on track together.

Track: Snetterton 200

Privacy: PUBLIC room - you can join my session through PSN. If we have issues with dirty drivers we'll go private.

STRUCTURE
Laps: 1 (there has to be a race)
Max grid: 16 (no AI)
Car class: Any (select in lobby by clicking on Vehicle icon and pressing TRIANGLE for full garage)
Practice 1: 30 mins
All else: zero
1 lap race

CONDITIONS
Weather slots 4
1: Clear
2: Light cloud
3: Random
4: Random
Weather Progression: 10x
Date type: Custom - 11 August 2015 (10:00)
Time Progression: Real time

RESTRICTIONS
Force Interior View: No
Force Realistic Aids: No

Mechanical failures: On
Tire wear: Real

Flags & Penalties: Off

To change car mid-session simply leave the lobby, rejoin and select a different car. I will remain in each session to retain control of the public lobby.

This will make it easy for people to join my room. Just find me on PSN from the PS4 and select join session. I will send some invites out though.

I'll be on around 8pm so will check in and see how it's going. Got to admit with Bjorn on this one, 1 lap means messy racing normally but hopefully will have the clean racers in and hopefully I am driving better than I was last night! Aha

The races are incidental. It's a Track day for just trying different cars out in an open practice session a la @Spooky Wooky idea. The practice sessions are 30 MINUTES, the race are 1 minute.

The only way we can do it in the game is by having a 1 LAP RACE at the end of each 30 minute session.

Sounds good. Nice one spooky. There loads of cars I still have not driven.
 
There's a change to my plans for this week. I'm not going to be hosting tonight and tomorrow. I'll be back on Friday night. If someone would like to host something feel free.

I'll be back hosting on Friday from 9pm UK. What would people like to do?

1 - A series of shorter races or an hour long race like the one we did on Sunday night? That private lobby would open at 9 but with the race starting around 9:45.

2 - What cars?
 
I agree. Long races are fun. We can always mix it up this evening. So a few short races and end with a 15-20 lap race dependent on the track.

I'll send first invites around 7pm BST
 
i already have a hour race on friday but that is till 930, so i will join the hour race you are doing if possible 2.....!!

weather on random is fine for me,... i like a challenge so more tire wear or more pitstops is ok for me 2, makes it interesting :D

Would love a log race again, maybe in LMP1?

I'll host tonight if people are keen? Thinking 15 minute qualifying with 7/8 lap races. A mix of cars on GP circuits. Mainly DTM, open wheel ect?

Thanks. I'm see how well matched the Prototype 2 cars are as we haven't used those much. There are 4. I suspect 2 might be matched. Plenty of liveries.

Gutted I didn't have time to join last night, those pictures are awesome. Seeing all those different classes on the same track has made my day.
Hopefully I can make it tonight.
Friday I would love another hour long race if we can get more people to start and definitely more people to finish. As for cars???? Something slow again.
