Thanks everyone who joined, good races tonight. Had fun but I think the races were a couple of laps long for the number of people that attended as we didn't have time to fit in the last race. I will post the results for the 2nd 3rd and 4th race when I find my USB stick. I forgot to screenshot the results for the 1st race if anyone can help me out with that.

Still, Ruf racing is the plan for tomorrow, more spinning round in circles for me!

JSB - the Jesus of clean racing online! 👍

I have never been compared to a deity before but I can live with that.... I may be clean but I can still spin the Yellowbird like a twisty turny thing.

Good strong thread jsb, good stuff! Should catch up soon for a yarn and virtual beer

Thanks HP. Anywhere close to a PS4 wheel yet? Are you still slaying dragons/burning witches in the middle ages? See you soon mate. I want to see you driving the Yellowbird or a BAC Mono after a few beers. The GT3's are fantastic to drive (even if the Nissan GTR isn't there yet).

Here's the extent of my DIY skills. A potato masher keyboard stand.

Potato masher £1.99 Robert Dyas plus Velcro.

I like the fact you left the tag on the masher, was this a deliberate act so you could return it if it didn't work? I'd like to be there when someone tries to explain that to customer services.

Nice logical thinking there Spooky. However, the reality is for £1.99 it's not worth the petrol money to return. I did it as I was in such a rush to install it. I'm going to leave it on as now it's in place the rigid card packaging actually helps keep it flush to the side of the stand. It also amuses me.

Would anyone be interesting at some point in the future doing a WEC style races on like silverstone, le mans etc with some people using lmp1 and some GT3's? I know its been done with the 2.4h ages ago but i couldn't make it, so some shorter WEC style races would be cool? On the weekend when there is as many people available as possible.

That's a great idea. Would you like to organise it at a time and date that suits you Markeeez?

WEC Style mixed class races LMP1/GT3: Sunday 6th September - Lobby open @ 6pm Qualifying @ 6:30pm. (Anyone unhappy with date can be changed)

Assists: Real
Weather: Clear
Time: Day to Night
Lobby holds up to 16? So half the grid will be LMP1 and other GT3 depends how many people turn up.

Accepted LMP1 Cars:
2013 RWD Motorsports P30 LMP1
2013 Marek PM06A
2011 Audi R18 TDI LMP1

Accepted GT3 Cars:
2013 Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3
2013 Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3
2012 BMW Z4 GT3
2013 Ginetta G55 GT3
2013 McLaren 12C GT3
2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3
2013 RUF RGT-8 GT3

Race 1: Silverstone GP
Laps: 20

Race 2: Spa Francorchamps
Laps: 16

Race 3: Monza
Laps: 24

Race 4: 24H Le Mans
Laps 10

(Roughly 30 minute races if my calculations are correct)

Dont forget that the GT3 class won't complete race distance as they will be lapped.
GT3 class when being lapped stay on the racing line, its up to the LMP1 class to overtake the GT3 class cleanly but just make sure there is enough room for both cars on the track.
Half the grid using the classes will swap between each races, for example, All the guys who races the first race in the LMP1 class will drive the GT3 class the next race and vice versa.
Anything I missed on here just reply to thread.

John if your happy with what I've organised could you add it to page 1?

Happy racing :gtpflag:

Looks good, I'll drive the Audi LMP1 please. :P

Awesome racing tonight everyone, thanks . I'll post (what I have :nervous: of) todays/yesterdays results first thing in the morn.

Thanks to all for my one race tonight. Sorry I had to park for a while to talk to my wife. Here's my race until I park and then I follow some interesting jostling. That hairpin was difficult to get right in these RUFs as many of us discovered. Part 2 only a couple of minutes.

A nice DQ for me here, pitted for damage, came in a bit hot and when the AI took over, he bounced it off all the walls in the pit lane them parked in the garage.
