I don't think so. It's not that scary (that was last week). We could pick up some of the usual crowd tonight. Do you want to send a psn message to the psn chat group? Sorry I haven't updated the community title. I can give you admin rights to it if you want.

Sure. I wouldn't mind helping out with that.

@DropBuckets is joining us too and will stream the show.

I'll take livery Equipe Bouchard #24

Great!

Yes it was disappointing. Thanks for the effort put into testing and organising it copesy. I managed to just about make my tyres last until 23 laps so would have 1 stopped but that was already too much for my pit crew the lazy tossers.

We do have an option or 2 to possibly exploit.

We could use the tyre wear and fuel useage on slow (I think that's an option) so no pitting is necessary. Of course we could turn them off but then we don't get the change in handling characteristics as fuel is burnt off and tyres worn. We'd need to see how long we could get a full tank of fuel to last. Some cars might not be useable in races of 90 minutes or more. That way we might be able to last the whole race without pitting.

If the race has some wet weather (they don't all have to) we would need to limit races to cars that only have tyres which work in the rain (no slicks).

The problem with that is it just becomes a sprint race. No strategy involved.

Those tyres are not slicks so they work in the rain. I think the the glitch with the two tyre choices in the pit strategy might have caused it. I'm going to see if I replicate it later.

lol. I was thinking about all these things also. I agree that turning off fuel and tyre wear would detract from the experience.
Probably the only cars that could go the distance are the Formula cars, but if I get any spare time I'll try and figure out why so many of us got stuck. I bet you if I try 1000 times it doesn't replicate though!

Enjoyed the races afterwards, having 10+ people makes a big difference.

*edit* NINJA'D

@copes24 I was also thinking it might be to do with the wording of the tyre choices for the pit strategy. Last time I got stuck was @ Laguna but I can't remember what car.

Spooky was it the Formula B race at Laguna with admoo on Wednesday?

It's a bit of a longshot this......

Does anyone have a replay (from streaming or by using the share button) of the race we got the stuck in the pit bug at Monza in the Ford Mark IV endurance race on Saturday please? Obviously there wad no opportunity to save the actual replay because we all quit the race before the end due to the bug affecting nearly everyone.

SMS are asking me if anyone has one to see what might have caused it.

I don't have any footage unfortunately. I can't reproduce the two tyre types in the pit strategy either. It's only showing mediums for me now.

Thanks to everyone that took part. I guess Diogo won by default. Everyone else got stuck in the pits.

I don't think it's worth doing long races until the game is more stable.

i have done at leat 12 races with more than 50 laps and multiple pitstops,.
i fokking love them, even if they are not working for everybody...
(sometimes pitcrew put wrong tyres under peoples cars or dont fuel up, but most of the time it works fine)

You guys just had bad luck encountering such a harsh bug :ouch:

Yes Styles i agree, i've done quite a few enduro races and haven't encountered too many problems either. Could it have been because the car used was a DLC car in the Monza race? And it's a programming error?

I didn't get a replay of the incident, but if SMS want help they can pay me to beta test any future patches as it doesn't seem like they have anyone doing it at their end. :dopey:

I'm up for an enduro or 2 this month, hopefully with timed races being introduced in the next patch.
What dates are people available over the Xmas/New Year period?

I believe Spooky that i won't be playing with my gear stick from the 24th til the 28th of December......But i'll confirm nearer the time! All depends on what the lady of the house wants to do, bloody women!!

Thats good idea too Bjorn, just like the real deal w the gt3s and lmps, something long, was thinking could extend length of race w the use of A.I. As second driver. Any opinions? :dopey:

i think online is not possible anymore to exchange yourself with an ai driver :indiff:

i never did that, but for longer races it is good to have it, if something has to be done.

Really? Oh, nevermind then haha. yea, would definetly be an assest. But yea im diggin that gt3, lmp idea you have!

how exactly would this work, both classes out on the track at same time or split up? and would each driver pilot both cars or would this be a team event ? 💡

Firstly you two decide on December's race along with the date to suit you both (if you can agree).

I will add a note of caution. The exact same race was run around 5 months ago and I thought those who took part said even in a room of 16 (it was less) it becomes a very lonely quiet race with 2 classes on such a long track and it was maybe better to stick with one class at longer tracks when we're limited to grids of 16.

By all means run it. Let me know what you want to run and I'll take some photos and do a livery selection video if you want.

Edit: another thought that you may want to consider - the new vintage DLC will be out then....

I drove the Lotus 49 on the new tyres and tyre model and it was a lot more controllable. I don't mind what you decide. I'll drive anything. The problem is finding the time.

you are correct that it could be lonely racing on lemans especialy when it is not a full room,....
but it is a 2.4 hour race,.. there will be lonely parts in it anyway.

Also depends how many folks are gonna do this.. and what they want to drive

when its 12 or more it would be nice to have lmp's and gt3's.

Piloting both cars is an idea, but then you have to split it up in 2 x 1,2 hour sessions, sounds good for me 2.
I think for getting a full grid this last option is maybe the best idea.
(But attending drivers should be able to do both races!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Well let me know what you want to do mate. See if you and @Branden Elmes can sort out a time to suit you both and what cars/tracks you want to go with.

Hey @JohnScoonsBeard & @Bjorn Lucas you both have very good points indeed. a livery selection vid would be sweet too. Could a vote be in order? That way we get everybodys thoughts and interests and a better idea of what to do, and maybe a driver count?

anytime will be good for me in december but maybe a weekend might be better for everybody, as for a right time for everybody, i am not sure.

maybe a idea to check who wants to do this??

And livery select is a good idea,.... but 50% of the time it is not the livery i choose what i get :boggled:
(one of the few bugs i have :D)
