The way the classes are structured in the game is sometimes not particularly useful. Eg I know the Clio is not competitive with the Touring Cars.
We won't mix classes much as that requires testing and can add complexity that might not be necessary. Sometimes single make endurance races are also an option (especially with such a variety in liveries).
I'm in agreement with
@Spooky Wooky/
@xkubunt split class races in long races don't work so well online unless you can get larger fields than 16 (even with ai filling a grid). Racing is generally better in rooms of 16 or less when everyone starts off with roughly similar equipment.
Everyone has their own cars they'd like to run and we will try and arrange everything suggested over the next months and years.
Some might not yet be aware we also organise races from the main CRAP thread (see my signature). As a general rule mostly those are races of less than an hour although they are not limited to that. The intention is to try and make this thread solely for the official CRAP monthly race (and practices). However the main thread will feature longer races from time to time. We can still use that for other longer races that aren't necessarily part of the official monthly event.
I think a plan to make our enduros use a wide variety of the games content keeps things interesting.
What we've already run as official CRAP pCARS enduros
May - GT3 @ Spa
June - LMP1 @ La Sarthe
August - LMP1/GT3 @ Hockenheim GP
Here's my proposal for some of the endurance races CRAP should consider. We will add to that with our own ideas and more of your suggestions. Keep them coming. We/you can always run some of them straight away from the main club thread.
Current ideas (in no order)
Clio
GT4
Group 5
Formula C (Formula 3)
Vintage Le Mans
Hypercars
LMP2
Formula B
The Caper Monterey Stockcar (NASCAR)
I would like us to also plan on working our way up to one day in the not too distant future running a full length Formula A race (or even a Lotus 49 aaaaargh).
Not forgetting further LMP and GT3.
Regarding days to run them on we used to find the Saturday worked best. However we could have multiple runnings over a weekend sonething we did when numbers were high in GT5. I'll stick a poll up.
