That wave one has my geometric appreciations all tingling! 👍

Thank you!

How you digging the new camera Crash?

Good! Real good! I'm really liking it, though having only had a couple of outings with the 7D2, I still need to get used to and memorize all the buttons and dials and what they do so I can quickly change settings. Pictures come out good. They can use improvement, but that's more due to the idiot behind the camera rather than the camera itself. Ergonomically, the 7D2 is pretty good, though I wish that the hand grip was slightly deeper; I feel like the camera is built for someone with a bit bigger hands, but shorter fingers (by Western standards, I have pretty small hands, but comparatively long fingers). There is one button up top that changes the white balance and metering mode that is a bit of a stretch to reach for me. I also need to change out the eyecup since I wear glasses, and I can't actually stick my eye in far enough to see 100% of the viewfinder and the info below. With that in mind, I'm not sure with about what they say that the VF coverage is 100%; I'm more inclined to think that it's actually 99.9%; close, but not pixel perfect.

Having experienced the magic with Casey's Nikon, one of the first things that I did on my 7D2 was to change the shutter release so that it's shutter release and auto exposure lock only, and move the auto focus to a separate button in the back.

Kit lens is ok, as expected. I'll be looking at adding lens soon-ish, but I should take a step back from camera purchases for now; no need to dive in and spend thousands upon thousands all at once. There are a few things that I need to play with and test; one of the things is that it's got a built in leveling meter. Handy, except its accuracy is a bit questionable, and I need to test it in such a way that if it's significantly out of whack, then I need to complain to Canon and make them recalibrate/fix it.

Otherwise, I'm learning more about the camera as well as taking pictures. Still learning about some of the functionality of the camera, as well as playing around with shots to better understand how different settings affect the outcome of the picture, and how the camera handles some things like focusing, evaluating and ISO selection that I generally leave on automatic.

In the meantime, these pictures are all still from Casey's Nikon or my old PnS. I still have a few more to post before I get to the 7D2 pictures. 👍
