I haven't seen a yellow tyre yet .
- Use SOFTS on a cool track
- Use HARDS on a hot track
- Green is optimum
- Check your tyre pressures when hot
In a sim racing game you don't pay attenting to those things?Wow, I never pay attention to tire pressures and temperatures. That might explain why I sometimes experience what the OP describes.
If you're coming from a game that doesn't model it, it's something you need to learn. 👍In a sim racing game you don't pay attenting to those things?
Jesus.
Those are 2 of the most important factors when in comes to your overall race pace along with a few other things.
Totally agree with your comment. But then it also begs the question..... Does that other game deserve to be called a "sim" if it doesn't model that basic element? If you're coming from a game that doesn't model it, it's something you need to learn. 👍
Yes. As far as I'm concerned, what qualifies as a simulator is primarily based upon its baseline physics and handling above all else. Details like tire temperature or pressure do add to the authenticity of a simulator, but a simulator that lacks such details can still do a fine job of simulating the static conditions it is designed with. To put it another way, PCARS doesn't cease to be a simulator in time trial mode just because it disables some of its variables.Totally agree with your comment. But then it also begs the question.....
