Week 5 Tie-Breaker

This is a creative competition, and to be honest the first one isnt creative imo, and besides, what is so riced out about a 500 horespower skyline anyway?
I truely believe that the second entry deserves much more respect...

Well this isnt a competition to see who has the funniest entry, this competition is one that gauges our abilities to create something out of nothing, to create something that is unlike anything else, to create something that shows sheer inginuity, and i truely believe that the second entry displays that sooo well, better than most of the entries that i have ever seen here at GTP, thus, i feel that it deserves the win and deserves my vote...

Your right...the second one is truly more creative.

They're both very creative...I don't particularly agree with the first one, because it's a great car, and my definition of "rice" is not "any Japanese car", but the picture does lend itself fairly well to being placed on the bag...the reflections on the car make it look like it actually shares the texture of the bag. I'd certainly call that very creative.

However, I'm inclined to feel that the second pic earns the vote...though the first also deserves points for thinking outside of the bag ;)

Both entries are original, expressive and imaginative... the dictionary definition of creative. If you think one is more creative than the other, that's a different story.

A tuned-up Japanese car with an aeroplane-sized rear wing and go-fast stickers is "rice" where I come from.

Sorry, I thought I'd done that.

Sorry if anybody takes offense at me defending my pic, but every time I create a 'funny' pic I seemed to get nit-picked. If you don't like it then don't vote for it, but please don't rubbish people's efforts:grumpy: It's things like this that caused me to stop entering the photomode comp ages ago.

Look man, i really wasnt trying to denounce your entry in any way at all, and i do apologize for my posts seeming rude...I'm sorry....that said, it doesnt change the way I feel, i just felt like your picture got so much more credit than it deserved just because it was funny, i mean it is creative in a way, but not in the way that i think should deserve the win in this comp. Once again, I do apologize....also your definition of "rice" is incredible inaccurate in my opinion...just look at every JGTC car...

I went for billaborg, and by the looks of the results, looks like it's going to win.

It's a full carbon race car...if it was even remotely "rice", it wouldn't have a completely gutted interior and titanium parts everywhere...Go-fast stickers? Yeah, every race car has 'em because of the hp gain...why else would they be there? :dunce:

Although I did vote for the "rice" entry, I completely understand what some of you define as "a certain amount of creativity" that needs to be seen in the image, not just a copy-and-paste onto a bag of rice. I stick with my vote, but definitely, great job to the other entry. ;)

Thanks for supporting my opinion man...thats exactly what i mean...

The Amuse may be a race car, but to me and my friends it is definately rice. As for the JGTC - yep, they're rice too. Remember that "rice" means different things to different people - it's not a set definition.

As for the amount of work that went in to this pic, I believe we're voting on creativity, not time spent creating. And it was more than a copy-and-paste effort too.

At the end of the day you vote for whichever picture you like the best. Don't stand around picking holes in someone else's work just because you don't agree with it. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything"

Unfortunately, this has now started down the same path as the last time I regularly entered the pic comps and I can do without the hassle. I formally forfeit this comp - congrats to the winner - goodbye.

well i didnt poke holes in your work, i had no intention of doing that, i just didnt understand why it was "rice" and expressed my opinion...same with the others, also, if you want to forfeit this comp then go ahead, but lets be realistic here, in life, people have to deal with other peoples criticism... you shouldnt just give up because someone disagrees with something you said...i never said that you work sucked or anything condescending like that, i think that it is creative in its own way, but that i thought the other deserved more credit than people were giving it...thats all that i was saying...it got out of hand and I AM SORRY!!! although i have lost some respect from you because you gave up, dont stop entering competitions....please...i didnt dislike your picture, its just that people tend to just vote for something because it amuses them, not because it truely deserves the vote....if they thought that it was more creative, then they could have voted for it...Once again, Brett, I am truely sorry, and had no intentions of it coming to this, but dont just give up, thats the most childish and immature thing that you could do, dont make yourself out to be the victim of our criticism...and enter more competitions, i look forward to having some comic relief in the future...

My apologies,

-Jamal (juh - m - al) not jah - mall
