Car list for future reference

Hi, I too miss the Toyota 88C-V. We always called it the Mintola which is an old minty chocolate in a green and gold wrapper.

I made a spoof Mintola livery for the Sauber C9, in the style of the Toyota Minolta livery, realised it would be easy to convert into the proper one, HERE

It isn't perfect, the blue is slightly off and a few of the Sauber shapes forced alterations, but it gives me good old school GT vibes on replays.

Given that it is a car that was very used post it's introduction in GT4, and was also one of the fastests, and the fact that it is a Toyota of all things... Maybe the car can come back.

But I would prefer to give priority to the GT-One TS020. IMO the most beautiful LM car ever.

I am surprised that this car is not in GT7

Yeah...

The reasons why the Toyota 7, Toyota 88C-V, and others aren't in Gran Turismo 7's base game:
-Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6 received a bit negative receptions for having PS2 and PSP model cars.
-It takes 6 months for Polyphony Digital to model one car, so ModelingCafe and IZMO Ltd. joined Polyphony Digital in 2018.
-The shaft to 4K-capable consoles meant that a lot of previous car and track models had to be cut. This is why old models cannot work on new systems.
-Polyphony Digital, ModelingCafe, and IZMO Ltd. limited their time of modeling cars and tracks because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's a damned shame, but no... Same with the '70 Toyota 7. GT-One. All the JGTC cars. The weird low production Callaway Corvettes, Panoz, Saleen (and they even have a cool little mini super car called the S1 in production that is a MR 4 cylinder that weighs next to nothing)

I'd take generic interiors in order to have GT6's car list, no question about it.

Modeling took ages yes, but but these days we have 3D scanners than can make hi poly scans of anything.
Surely this will cut the time down today.
Plus manufactures also tend to make models of their cars, but these may not be hi poly.

Don't get it confused with PD taking 6 months to model one car... Those 6 months are based on a ONE person job-time working on it.

Otherwise just multiply 300 cars in the game by half a year and you get 150 years worth of car models in the game. Which is clearly not the case as between Gt6

PD have just been either lazy or had their priorities on stupid features like VGT / Fictional Gr. cars and other things like Music Rally.
And forgot about adding actual content like tracks, cars, races into the game.

I myself am BAFFLED at how the Toyota GT-One, one of the most iconic cars of the Gran Turismo franchise ever since GT2, and the fact that it is a TOYOTA, which is the brand that pratically has PD on their back pocket, is still not on this game.

Like really guys, when we speak of the Toyota GT-One, 99% of the time Gran Turismo comes to your mind. It's just shocking how it's not in the game.
Suzuki Escudo and the Dodger Viper GTS-R Team Oreca are also two iconic GT cars that i don't understand how they are not in the game yet.

other things like Music Rally.
Music Rally would've maybe taken a few days to do.
Tracks already exist, cars already exist.
Just need the basic code for the game mode and then set the time limits with testing.
I rather do a Music Rally than a hand holding at the Cafe
