Just wondering, what would your custom BGM list be?

Maybe for poops and giggles, have in the list Driving In My Car by Madness.

What do you think?

No, still can't get it to work. It's all in gibberish, talking about bits and rates and stuff that i don't know about or care about. All i know is that it says i can now use my own music but i actualy can't, so Sony have lied to me. I expect to be able to use it without having the qualifications or knowledge of a computer geek.

GTP only support MP3 with sample rate of 44.1kHz ...

Nobody lied to you. How hard can it be? If you can listen to music files form XMB (PSP menu), then you can listen to them in GT.

OK, look, I'll try to explain it as easy as I can, if you still don't get it - you've got a problem...

Let me ask yo a few questions first:
-Is your GTPSP pirated?
-Is your PSP hacked?
-Can you listen to music from the XMB menu?
-Do you have any music files at all on your PSP?
-Does your custom music work with other games?
-Did you pass driving challenge B in GTPSP?

No, it was purchased brand new by myself

-Is your PSP hacked?

Same answer as 1st question

-Can you listen to music from the XMB menu?

Yes, i have imported the exact same music folder from my PS3 that i use for my GT5 game music

-Do you have any music files at all on your PSP?

As above

-Does your custom music work with other games?

Only other game i have for the PSP is Resistance: Retribution which doesn't have that option

-Did you pass driving challenge B in GTPSP?

Yes, on the 1st day i bought the game and console

For the record, it's a PSP 3003 and yes, i have gone through all the menus in the game and on the system to see if i hadn't set it up correctly. But no matter what i try the music will not play.

So far so good.

Now, start GTPSP.
Go to Options.
On top, you see 4 tabs. Click Audio Settings one.
One of the options there is User BGM. See it?
In "Set User BGM Folder" Switch it to MUSIC Folder.
Make sure the "User BGM Volume" is at 100.
Also, make sure all Volume settings are also at 100. They can be found in Audio Settings, as well, just above User BGM settings.

Heres' the vid, that shows everything I said

Hi, thanks for the guide. I've followed everything you have said and watched your video - done everything EXACTLY how you show. Yet still, the damn thing wont do it. Going to give up, can't be bothered anymore, haha! Seems too much effort just to race against 3 cars with some decent music. Nevermind, but thanks for the help anyway :) 👍

Did what I could. Try exchanging the game or something...

Or, you could borrow another PSP game from somebody, and see if the issue still exists. Get FIFA or MLB The Show - they both have custom music options. If it still doesn't work, then it's not the game, it's PSP

If you've done all the things mentioned above,

Check:
If you set to BGM MUSIC: Make sure your music is not in folders.
If you set to BGM GTPSP: Make a folder and name it GTPSP, then copy and paste all your music into that file.

Hope this helped.
