Unfortunately most of the cars I like best are standard models - it is also unfortunate is that I am not skilled in photo composition but here they are...a LOT of GT350 shots, fair warning...
Some more - I figured out some things related to taking better pics of standard cars:
1. Going to vertical format to defeat the zoom restriction for standard cars - warning: that restriction is there for a good reason; seeing how bad these 6 year old 3D models (and the low-res textures they're mapped with) look may raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels.
To fix this somewhat...
2. Use the miniature effect filter and lower the exposure to -6 or so will help with the dreaded smoke aliasing, and experiment with shutter speed as shown here:
3. Overhaul your aesthetic sense to the point where you find the 1971 Mach 1 Mustang more attractive than the 1965 GT350 Shelby Mustang, and the 2006 Jaguar XK luxury coupe as a more worthy design than the 1961 E-Type...
Unfortunately, nothing I did to the images allowed the manual exposure adjust option to appear during auto-HDR merge: the only way to affect the final output was in the order I selected the images(?!) weird...
