Okay then, race 1 starts as wet

Sorry, slight time change due to muddling times in my head.

Room opens at 8:00
Quali starts at 8:40
Race 9:15

Sorry Cally, didn't see your post before.
If you miss race 1 you miss both, that's the rules.

Due to starting in wet, we're running:
Race 1: 4
Race 2: 10

The weather will change over quali and both races, so may be dry by the end.

if what i read is correct then the race starts at 9:15, I should JUST be able to make it in time for the race... fingers crossed!! I dont care for qually, im never quick enough for it to make a difference anyway haha :P

Dude, watching the reply you fully t-boned me, I have no idea why you were going across that part of the track and at that speed. I would have been up there challaging for the win!

As disappointed as I am with that, I did win the first so at least I have something to be happy about!

Great first Race. I spent almost entire qually on slicks in a drying trac. :scared: It wasn't pretty. At the end I managed to get a good time as the track was almost dry but kickstart and mcgloone beat it with the counter allready on.
Got a good start and went into the lead. The car was to hard on tyres. I had the ballast moved to be good on wet so maybe thats what cause it(Only noticed that now). Priesty catch me and after a little overtakes and a slight nudge that would send my car spining if it was RWD probably I decided not to fight and try to keep the pink car far in my mirrors.

Second race had 2 great fights. First with knight. Pited early to get the jump but exited pits right in front of kick. Made a huge spin on Dunlop Bend. Maybe the grass was still wet as I went through it with 2 wheels in the small kink before. Mangaed to keep the car pointed in the right direction and a major fight went on. Knight exited right behind us and I was thinking in the championship again, but this time trying to stay ahead of kick to collect more points than knight. After a near spin in Spoon I didn't learn with the mistake and indeed spun the next lap at the same spot.
To make it worse knight passed kick so in this weekend gained 2 points on me. :(

I was just trying to get good points like you Kamy. Had two very nice races, enjoyed the tyre choice tactics in qualy/race 1. Thought I'd cocked up race two until Kamy spun and I managed an epic (probably stupid) outbrake on cakestand. Congrats to priesty on his first win aswell ;)

Edit: aha I knew I was right that time when you all said qualy was always 20 mins, In the first post it says 10 just like I thought :)

First race. Couldn't believe i span out. Sorry to the people i blocked during that. Tyres were gone by lap 2. Some points not much.

Then came race 2 and i think i saw red mist. Pulling a second a lap away from knight. I really couldn't believe the pace i was doing. But i had done no dry practice i just knew were the grip was and damn. It was pretty fun and fast.

EDIT: Great first win for priesty. (About time ;) )

Not the best race night ever.

Race 1, a tiny nudge from priestly in the wrong part of spoon corner sent me off, and lost me my place in the top three battle.

Race 2, Kickstart span (god knows how in an FF) 90• clockwise going into the chicane, damaging my front left, before the 3rd lap! (not giving me the place afterwards). I carried on as normal, trying not to worry about it. Unfortunately I underestimated the dramatic effect of damage on suzuka, leading to me swerving into kickstart mid-next lap, and loosing all control coming onto the back straight, sending me straight into the wall, damaging my back wheel too. A real shame, at a stage when I need all the points I can get :(

got a wheel on the grass, not that unusual. as for giving the place back, I thought I was ahead of you when I half-spun? that's why I didn't let you past to start with, then I heard you mention it and was about to let you through when we collided again.
not got a huge amount to say about the rest of the racing, qualifying was good fun, managed to get my first pole with about half a second left on the timer. despite what the replay says, i'm adamant that i was put on wet tyres for the start of the race, which ruined it before it had even started. 2nd race was better, had a couple of good battles with knight and kamy

First corner of both races I took it steady due to the unknown of conditions and cold tires, fortunately I saw mcglone spin round and slide across kickstart, so luckily I managed to avoid it, after that it was a case of hunting the other guys down, knight put a good move up the inside frag on spoon so I followed, that's where we touched it wasn't a massive impact but was enough to push him wide, after that me and knight had a little battle but once I was on the finish straight I managed to pull a gap as then it was on to kamy. I felt faster than him but didn't wanna risk a overtake on a corner, again there was a tiny impact on spoon (just think I had a fast line through there) but again, once I was past on the straight it was home dry :D , although I was very nervous!

Second race after Cally hit me, I had to pit as I had full engine damage damage (only hit 110 on the straight!) and my lap was nearly 3mins!, anyway I quite enjoyed hunting everyone down, I was running high 11's low 12's and got right back on frag's tail with 2 laps to go, unfortunately at point my tires were gone :( , my last 3 Laps were high 14's then a 17 :(

Still chuffed with my win tho as suzuka is pretty much my fav track.

Also, something I do with a few mates when we run with a madatory pit is when you do pit when your on auto drive is bring up the chat box and write pit, that way people can see that you pit and there isn't any confusion...........

If you cause an accident, it's common courtesy to let them through, as I did in race 1 when Knight was chasing me.

Nice idea about pitting, should use that.

in theory, he spun and you collided with him. it sounds like an everyday racing incident

that was kinda my thinking as well, sorry you got caught up in it frag, but it's not like i was trying a lairy outbraking move and collected you. speaking of lairy outbraking moves, forgot to say, fair play knight, that was pretty epic lol

Well, after another dismal race by me last night, I'm calling it a day I think.

I was chatting to Mcglone for a bit last night after Chris went offline, and even he thought that the ST just doesnt have the performance to keep up with everybody else.

On top of not having the straight line speed, most of you know I have had a constant battle with being very unhappy with the diff. I can't get a good standing start at all. 1st gear just smokes away, and 2nd has no power at all.

I know there are only 2 rounds left, but it's probably better if I just drop out now, save me potentially screwing up anybody's races like I usually manage to do in spectacular fashion, again, Priesty mate, I'm sorry about that last night, I honestly thought you were going to get through before I bounced back on track :(

On top of all of it, I'm not going to be able to make the first race anyhow, so it kinda means I would be illegible to race in the 2nd race of the night anyway.

If you guys want me to marshall anywhere for race 2, I will be happy to help :-) best of luck with the last 2 rounds guys :D It's been a pleasure driving with ya :-)

Mate don't quit!

Me and you normally have a good battle at the back, Suzuka is defiantly a one off for me.

Putting the race back to 21:15 is fine with me and as you say there are only 2 rounds left so you might aswell finish.

But i also said i had doubts about me BMW. Only cause i know how to get the right setup it can work for me. If i had the same amount of time testing the ford out i might able to get it up there with the top.

And for your gears sounds like you got high level of torque , lowering it helps also be gentle with it.

And frag i noticed you didn't have a wing on the back. That must cost you a bit of time on the corners.

This slows your car down though..

And thats bad in my opinion. I like to surprise other drivers. ;)

Lol, not for me when I'm at the back ;) , with the 'undercut' and all that I think it will work

This slows your car down though..

Not when on auto, if you driver until the option of tires/fuel comes up it's ok

And frag i noticed you didn't have a wing on the back. That must cost you a bit of time on the corners.

Me and James found that, for Suzuka, the wing was pushing the back of the car down, taking weight off the front wheels, creating huge amounts of understeer.

Trial Mountain next boys!

Must be the setup you use. I hardly had understeer round Suzuka.

any results yet kamy? quite lookin forward to trial mountain, it's always been one of my favourite tracks in the GT series, doesn't mean i'll be quick there though! It's just one of the tracks I know better and feel comfortable pushing the limit around :)

Here it is. Sheet

Still a 17 points gap I hope to keep. ;)

May I sugest next monday we try mics Off to see if saggyscrot has more luck racing with us??

Alex's web I believe is mostly due to his console being goddamn miles from his router, meaning he couldn't stay connected.
