I CANNOT be taking the train two days a week to Solihull for college next year, it would kill me.
I want the insurance companies to explain exactly why they are charging so much. Probably mostly because they repair cars in the most r*****ed way possible.
Chris.. They couple it with your age, driving experience and the safety of the car while its not being used. I've got a mate who parks his car on the street, yet claims it's stored away in a state of the art secure underground garage with CCTV and it lowered it the most unbelievable amount!... Just tell a few fibs about its storage.. get your dad on the policy and STFU! lol
You could also take the back seats out, register it as a commercial and put the seats back in. Though you might need spare seat brackets as they put real hard stuff on them to prevent that.
haha its a good start.. Get a clean little 5 door runaround.. get a few years no claims (Obviously don't crash!) and then get something tidy! You're 17 and you're not working and earning enough for it to be even worth it.. So yeah, a little 1.1 / 1.2 till you're 21 or something then consider either something fast, or something uber light.
Actually, thats a good shout.. you can pick up a decent starlet/glanza and even the 1.3 turbo engine it runs for less than a grand.. amazing little cars when tuned right and a rwd conversion is possible if again, done right.
Better off buying a gt, you would end up paying more swapping it. But I still stand by not liking them very much, but an 18 year old got insured for like €1200 per year.
Wow the GT is a beautiful car! Will look into it tomorrow.
Yeah I've said to wesley on FB, the ammount you pay is stupidly little compared to us! Insurance for a 200sx at 17 here would probably be the equivilent of (considering an MX-5 as a house owning doctor with the car in a secure compound was ~$25,000 yearly) around $30,000-$40,000 yearly.
