I don't care for stance, it's stupid and pointless. You want a car to look good, slap some camber on those front wheels and slide it.

Fully agree. If you go for stance the car won't be any use.

Sorry, but would we have any interest in cars if they were made for practicality over performance?

In no way whatsoever is drifting practical, it's all about the style and enjoyment.

Cars are supposed to be fun, and stance is just cool.

(Positive camber on my post,
like a bawss)

There's a difference between lowered nicely or tucked, but flattened to the balls is a totally different story!

Stance = no performance involved.

The performance of a car is greatly ruined when it is given the stance look. You lower a car and change all the geometry of the suspension without a professional outlook on it. these guys will go through tires so ridiculously and have the most uncomfortable ride. Sorry, but it doesn't stick with me.

I'd rather a rover with the performance to match anything rather than something i make look amazing to ruin the suspension.

Drifting doesn't make you go faster does it!

Stance isn't about going fast you silly boy :)

It doesn't have to go fast to look cool, or look cool to go fast.

The bugatti will monster an S13 in a race, but the S13 is still, in my opinion, the better car.

Sorry, but would we have any interest in cars if they were made for practicality over performance?

Sorry, you said performance. Am I missing something in that sentance? ;)

Also, the S13 isn't a better car. It's a more appealing car to your taste, but not a better car.

I agree with Chris on this one. It's not always about performance.
You have something called car show event's which people do slam there cars. It's not meant to go quick or whatever. Some place the car on a trailer and tow it down there. Yes a know performance cars turn up to these events but there for everyone aren't they.

But you can say that with the performance. Half the cars kids tune don't have a clue what there doing. Okay then what about the amount of tyres you use for drifting. Not to mention things breaking. Nothing lasts forever what ever you do. I''m sorry but poor debate.

I'm all for stance and performance. Both used for different things in mind. I hate the people that rate about there own car then say everyone else's ride is crap or useless. Then one of them cars offers a race he goes all defensive. Accept fact the guy who done a stance or slammed car has put a lot of time, effort and money into it.

It's a lot cheaper to stance your civic than to strip it out, b18 it, buy some spoon parts...
I like performance tuning just as much as stance or whatever, VIP with mental camber is cool though, even if it is stupid...

I wasn't saying ONLY drift it instead lol... I just find it unbelievably pointless making a car look good with out the grunt to back it up.,..

i find it unbelievably pointless someone trying to get max hp out of a car then loses all reliability... but there you go.

Sorry, you said performance. Am I missing something in that sentance? ;)

Yes I think you are missing something. If all cars were made for practicality, we would be driving in hybrids, electrics, smart cars, or all using public transport, for reasons of cost and safety.

We do not enjoy cars because they are practical, but for many other reasons.

I'm really confused as to how you are missing the point.

Super, style, and performance cars are so impractical, we are lucky to such an extent that they exist whatsoever, and are available for us to buy or modify providing we have the money and time.

And note that I made sure I included 'In my opinion'.

However ridiculous and impractical a car has been modified by it's owner, if you look at the car and if for even a split second the car makes you laugh or smile, the tuner has succeeded.

Exhibit A :P

It all depends on the owners personal intentions and interests.

Ahh that's where people usually go wrong McGlone. Tuned cars only lose reliability if they haven't been tuned properly or serviced properly. it's that simlple. Speaking of experience I'll have you know.

Chris what im getting at is your sentance basically says stance is a form of performance. Sorry but, Just, NAW

P.s that Celica is f'ing stupid. Nor Do i laugh or smile. I wan't to strangle someone with the metal banding out there tires.

Exactly what you said about stance cars. So it really doesn't make any odds does it? Every thing will break sooner or later whether its a performance car or a stance car.

Comes down to personal choice in what they use there car for. I'm all for both doesn't mean i'll actually do it on my car. Who knows. ;)

I actually lol'd at that celica. I bet it was a arse trying to get them back tyres on ;)

I meant
"Sorry, but would we have any interest in cars if they were made for practicality over performance or style?"

I love doooblllleeyyyyy poooossstttttinnnnnnggggg :D.

Meh, you're all wrong, Stance is for people with no taste. You're not entitled to your own opinion so go drink tea and eat crumpets!

You all are! Me and Powell are right. No opinions allowed. Like I said, Tea and crumpets while I enjoy the bagpipes in my kilt with some Glenfiddich
