I have heard stories about how,

The default tire pressure is 50psi , thats amazingly high, lowering it helps the "floaty" feeling, or something.

GT5 definitely has a great physics engine though.

LFS and GT5 feel very similar, hence why I was able to go back and forth with ease.
(Drifting)

Well, I'm getting shift 2 tomorrow.. So will try and find solutions for it and just research it till then :)

Better than GT5 from what I can see, the in car drifting looks absolutly quality also. No need for TrackIR. lol
(I'll elaborate, I obviously don't know yet, but it has so many features I so really want, that GT5 just doesn't and will never have (probably) )

I am aware the physics is "wrong", but , it's a PC game, sooner or later someone will fix it, weather it be shift 2 patch or mod.

Plus I'll be using a wheel 100% of the time :)


I would love to continue to fly the D-Max flag :)

@warren It's not actually NFS,it's just called shift 2 unleashed ;)

I have some issues with LFS and i cant really sort them with my dfgt.
I cant get a setup to suit me for my xrgt. They all feel loose, and i cant keep a drift going with only 240 hp. Im not being cocky now but i am probably one of the top drifters with a dfgt, and just including that wheel.
Ps. I still have to buy s2, i use keygen. :P
 
I have it, and must try it again. I used to be OKAY but you can only use tweaks on about 3 servers including s2. Thats why i want to use the xrgt

I dont really like Shift or any racing games to be honest with those physics. I know it's daft to say but i prefer going from the Oddie or the Beamer to having a similar in GT5 :) I prefer Driving Simulation Not Arcade styled games ;)
 
The only thing I like in shift 2 is playing with my wheel , 2 car on this game drive perfect stock the AE86 and the GT3RS , it's fun on a wheel but contiller is rubbish in shift ;)
 
Yeah i seen the 458's in the pit with numbers and sponsors etc.. Sweet looking :P...

I'm sure putting 1 of them sideways would be fun haha.. Can't say i tried when i had my blast.. I was terrified to even hit 70 lol
 
On another side note, that drifting was smooth considering the ping he was showing :) (SU2 Vid)

shift 2 sucks even tho they use race mode too drift with in the clip and its poorly optimized so i cant play it properly.
In drift mode the game countersteer for you -.-'.
Im never going to buy a game with the label need for speed again!last game i bought was underground 2.
how dare they to make a game with 30 fps on consoles?

70/30 brake bias. Locked diff, short gear ratio, assign a button for the clutch and use it to clutch kick, using a joystick for the e-brake can be helpful too.

I can give you some of my setups if you want. Also train on fern bay club rev or fern bay green rev. Or even some layouts (go on lfsd forum there's a ton of real Japanese tracks layouts like meihan and all).
Last advice is be patient, it take some time to learn how to drift in the game. There's a lot of fun to be had on that game especially when you do a 20 cars drift train on the Meihan layout. Too bad I'm now bored of it (I first played it in 2004)

Running this tournament is whats closes most drifting competitions. My suggestion is that too do each run privately or only have 5 people at a time so there isn't too much confusion.

EDIT: Also there are timezone differences so what I suggest is that hold one lobby for one country this way this will help a lot less absences.
