Thanks for this thread daan. Looking forward to seeing you beat the Historic Racing Car Cup and then proceeding to commit them to memory. Let us know how it goes!

2nd Attempt. The Zonda wasn't much a threat this time.

I find it frustrating that when you want to retry a race that you lost (but enjoyed and want to give it another go), the opponents just seem to be easier...

Anyway, it's always a joy to watch some good, clean races for a change. Thanks for sharing these. 👍

I had that last night in the tuning car races. I took my Chromline R8 (stock except for sport soft) and had an epic, 5 race battle with an Amuse GT1. I had 2 wins and 3 seconds, he had 3 wins and 2 seconds, and he won the championship by 25 points. I had made a few mistakes in the races, and was sure I could beat him, so I tried it again, but the Amuse wasn't there, and I walked the championship. Annoying! :grumpy:

Hey daan, great vids. 👍 Just wanted to let you know that you can use standard colors on whatever car you want, so go get that Nordic Green!

Yeah, just need to find an RX8 in Nordic Green...

Updated the first post with the Japanese championship races (last 2 are uploading now). Monza and Suzuka are both excellent races. At Suzuka, a 350Z and I go side by side through 130R with no contact!

Updated with the Fiat 500 seasonal race. The RX7 race is uploading and will be along shortly.

Thanks for these... I've golded all of them, apart from the Fiat 500 race :scared: can never get better than silver, so this will help

Nice work, very smooth as per usual. I'm quite relieved to read that you modified the RX-7 to get those lap times. I had a quick try and was only lapping in the mid 1.38's, nowhere near fast enough, but I was running completely stock. I will try the non-BHP and non-weight upgrades next time!

(If you haven't changed the oil already) The sport manifold takes the power to the limit of 204bhp, but it's the only power mod that can be used.

👍

And  at the Deep Forest Gateaux - seasonal indeed!

(Does that mean you thought that event was a piece of cake?)

That seems to be have been taken on as it's official UKGTP track name.

I've uploaded the Challenger and GTR seasonal events as well as the 3rd TG challenge in the Kubelwagen.

First post updated with the Historic car cup, which I did in the Race Modified Dodge Challenger R/T '70.

Updated with Audi R8 at Nordschleife in the Schwarzwald B championship

Thanks for the video of you beating the historic cup with the Challenger RM. Immediately jumped from the computer, picked up the controller, de-tuned my Challenger (removed the supercharger I had thrown on there) and beat the Cote D'Azur race by 8 seconds. 👍

First post updated with the NASCAR at Nordschleife Seasonal event.

I like how you turned off the hud on the r8 video.
This is how gt5 videos should be watched! 👍👍

Fantastic post daan! Really liked to see the way you deal with traffic (you know, actually overtaking, not bumping or pushing the AI around :)).

And it's also refreshing to see someone that actually makes an effort to have competitive races, as opposed to tune the car to the max, then claim that the events are too easy (as seen so often).

Thank you. I do try to have realistic races, although I do, on occasion, barge past an idiot AI driver when I've had enough.

First post updated with Intermediate AMG Challenge full lap.

I've still to attempt the wet AMG challenges, so can't really offer any advice.

Advanced AMG challenges uploaded and in the first post.

I did the Advanced Challenges last night (300SL in the wet) and it seemed to be slightly easier than the dry ones. The only advice I'd offer is to try and keep it smooth and try to avoid the kerbs at the apex as these can grab you and make you slide.

Nice race at the Top Gear track, but why is the other video kind of blurry?
I had to edit the M3 video from the ~23 minutes down to the important stuff. The program I used is unable to cope with the original video and it makes it smaller before it can be edited, hence the blurryness. I've since got Sony Vegas, so any ones I need to edit from now on, should be as clear as the original is.

Hello,
I could use some help from anyone who is used to the Hauppauge HD PVR recording device, i bought one from amazon 3 weeks ago which arrived with no manual or installation CD, so i contacted hauppauge website who kindly sent me the CD to install there product, now for my problem, i followed instructions on how to setup the hd pvr to my PS3 and to the computer, then i installed the CD that hauppauge sent me, i installed the cables from the pvr to my computer as it told me to, then the
component cables to the TV, i also set the ps3 to use component but when i swith on the hauppage nothing shows on the screen, there is nothing showing up that i can record or sound. i no i have installed the cables correctly as i followed the instructions to the letter, so where am i going wrong.

Any help greatly appreciated .
