My issues? My only issues is people assuming a southern or gun toter is a redneck. Assuming ignorance.

Redneck means ignorant, white, southern, gun toting, etc etc. you knew the meaning and knew dang well you was conveying your judgement based on this persons looks and way of speaking.

That stick must be huge. As I said before, lighten up, we are talking about someone shooting at a laptop. World changing news. Think. About. It. And maybe watch the video again. And then, perhaps, you can crack a smile. Or not.

But, we are done now, before other people start shooting at laptops.

Ignorance and lacking knowledge are very different things.

Ignorance is saying someone was being racist when race was never involved. It isn't even a political thing, just common sense and the basic definition of a word.

The father of a daughter myself, I am not looking forward to the teen years. I hope (and I say this with the up most desire) that I will continue to have an open and respectful relationship with my daughter so I don't have to resort to this type of public display.

There is no doubt the daughter was being disrespectful. So she had to do chores? Oh my goodness. [internet sarcasm]Someone call Child Protection Services. Clearly she is being over worked. I mean, look at all her lazy friends that don't have to do anything. The nerve of the dad trying to make her do any work, sheesh. [/internet sarcasm]

The point is, it should have never got to the level where the dad feels he needs to shoot at his daughters laptop with his .44. There are clearly some other issues going here that has brought their relationship to the point where it escalated into a laptop shooting. :)

It takes a village to raise a child. Too bad most of the villagers are idiots.

The Chinese have a proverb: (白吃,白住) which basically means living and eating for free. As a teenager, I have no choice but to do this until I can find my own job and pay for myself. However, having a job is not the only way you can "pay" for your parents. Doing simple things around the house like cleaning dishes, sweeping the floor (which this girl refuses to do) are basic things in life that you will need to know when you grow up.

Computers and iPods are just some of the things that this girl seems to take for granted, as if it's her right to own one. I had to get five A's consecutively to earn my first (and rather old) iPod.
 
It just occurred to me, a better lesson would have been to completely dismantle the laptop and give her the choice. Pay to re-assemble it, or learn to do it herself.

Guess that's one way to learn the value of money.
