Daily race A Corolla MORIZO at Lago Maggiore

I'm currently driving this race but at the start so many cars accelerate away faster than me. This is a straight line so no special skills are required yet I still get passed no matter how good my start is. Do these cars have modifications in which case how do I find out what it is?

Or am I just a lousy driver?

As you said, no skill is really needed for straightlining. But you probably didn't notice, the event is PP-limited rather than BoP, which means you can tune the car as you see fit, as long as you meet the 600PP limit. It doesn't come as a surprise that they're quicker off the line, as they have tuned their cars, possibly also optimizing the parts setup.
