I want to practice next weeks daily C tomorrow. It's going to be Brands Hatch Gr4 with RM required and tyre wear at 6x fuel x2. Any idea what would be good? A FF car or the Cayman? The McLaren even?

I did a few practice laps yesterday and I was fastest in the Toyota 86, by a lot. I didn't try any FF's because I think the tyre wear will be a problem for them.

The Ferrari felt pretty good too 👍

Most likely the Megane Trophy '11(Slophy) and Alfa Romeo 4C, will be top picks. Cayman should be good. I've seen McLarens do well in tyre wear races. NSX as well.

Yep. Sometimes you just need to take a break and allow you subconscious brain work on it. A few tips for next time though the first one may be obvious:
  • Never use full braking in Sector 3. It is just inefficient. Watch the top lappers.
  • Switch to Auto Transmission as a training exercise. Firstly, it allows you to concentrate on brake modulation which is the key. Second, I use the AI downshifter as a speedometer or brake-ometer, if you will. The downshift signal is normally done by the AI based on speed so it is a little signal to my brain that tells me if I am too fast or too slow.

I'll keep that in mind the next time it pops up. Anything to help me with that last sector.

For the fourteenth consecutive day, I had scored another daily race win. I had won at Daily Race B for the third straight day, this time in an Audi TT Cup. With that car, I realized it was more effective in this race, which is common amongst front-wheel drive cars.

I watched this and was happy to see you clean. Until the last corner on lap one.
Punting P2 into P1 to pass...

I am not going to say what I feel about your driving.
But I am never, ever going to comment or like your race reports again

I think after seeing a few race reports lately I need to adjust the ratings on my alt to help readjust the racecraft of another driver. This is just getting stupid.

This ain't the place to be bragging about punting people off to steal their wins for no reason other than you want to win. That's the worst example you can try to set for others.

I have never seriously considered an alt account in another territory until now. But I am considering it. Seriously.

On a different note, did a Race C as that's less carnage. Started 4th in the LM55. Was overtaken by a patient LMP after T1.

From there, a Peugeot VGT is based ruling the LMP behind me. We head up the hill to the left-hand hairpin before the PZ. Right at the apex, there was lag and the Peugeot bumps me off. I drop down to 12th.

Kept my lid on and stayed smooth all race. Switch to RS and closing in on the Peugeot battling another LMP. Peugeot spins off and quits. :rolleyes:

Catching the LMP that was behind that Peugeot when I got punted off. That car too, spears perpendicular into a barrier. I pass it. It quits.
Catching another LMP, I pass it after the PZ. Finish P6 with my main account.

Think I'll do Brands Hatch with the alt.

Anything's effective if you're just punting people out of the way.

This is at least the third time you've chucked up videos of you punting other people as if it's something to be proud of, and so far you've ignored everyone pointing this out to you. That includes me, and that's not the best idea.

You're not engaging with this community in any way, just posting your YouTube videos - which makes it seem like you're just using this site to promote yourself (which is comical, as the one thing these videos don't do is promote you in any way; you look either inept or filthy, or both). Either way, this site and our membership does not benefit from your presence.

Change your behaviour, both on-track and here.

For the sake of my own mental health I’ve uninstalled. What’s the point trying to race clean if others don’t. I got me annoyed to the point where I was trying to retaliate and the game sure as hell doesn’t need someone else being a jerk. It was briefly fun but I quickly realised i am just torturing myself. Thanks for the few words of encouragement that followed me in my brief stint with the game.

Bit of a mixed bag today so far. Put my big boy pants on and lower TCS to 1, and suddenly my quali time dropped from from a 46.1 to a 45.6 in the RCZ.

On a race front, lots of bumping and grinding, bit of bouncing too with some middling results.

And then the last race of the morning I pulled a win out of somewhere.

If I can get round corner 1 in one piece then I can have a little fun

This is such a shame. The game can be so good and it needs more players who appreciate race craft and try and drive cleanly.

Go well my friend, hopefully see you back for GT7.

Sorry to see you go but I can understand where you're coming from. You should give things a try again and come back to say hi when GT7 drops.

Guy's obviously just a wind-up merchant - never posts anything other than great examples of how not to do it!

Should he not be banned from this site?

Did many Race C with the Toyota this week. Decent QT of 1.29.9 with the Toyota got me starting in top 5 most of the time. I manage 4 wins throughout the week.

Then I decide to try to better my QT with the Audi and got a satisfying 1.29.3. Almost good enough for a top 100 in my region. Now to the race with the Toyota.
POLE! Start is good, manage to keep another Toyota behind me in this crucial few corners on cold tires. Manage to slowly build a gap of 2sec. during first stint. Switch tires at the same time, everything going well still 2 sec during the last part of the race until.... lap 11. I put one wheel on the grass somewhere in sector 3, car go half spin and that was enough to lose first place. Shame, it was only me who could lose that victory from pole position and I did! :banghead:

His only interest is the Youtube vue. Since I saw 2 of his video, I stopped watching them, I know what they are about.

Last night, I had two additional daily race wins. The first of these was in race B where I used a Jaguar F-Type Gr. 4. The other one was in race A where I used a Volkswagen Golf GTI VII. I have thus recorded at least one daily race win for the thirteenth consecutive day.

@JoeDaSnow ,

Please stop posting videos here. Or, explain yourself. I have not seen you respond to any of the questions posed here. From that I can only conclude, you are not able, don't care, are a youtube self-promoter, or hold us in contempt. You are not adding any value to this community.

Last week I summarized my week at the ring and lamented my 0 for 59 win record there though I love the track. Upon further review, it gets better. My win record at:
  • Lago Maggiore GP (I & II) => 0 for 72,
  • Suzuka => 0 for 84.
I clearly like those tracks too. :(

Alas, this week was Fuji week in a group 4 combo. Before this week I had 59 wins over 1500 odd races. I set a good QT lap on Tuesday and am confident that it will remain in the top 100 (Americas) until the end of the week. The QT led to many poles, competitive races and 10 new race wins. All of the races were in the top split SR.90+ lobbies.

At the front the races were clean and respectful with a few odd hiccups. I met some new racers and reacquainted with some old friends.

In mid-pack it was vicious and plain stupid at times. The pen system is broken - we know that. It has infected all levels of racing. :boggled:

The highlight was a race with "Bia the fast racer from Brazil in a pink car". I started Q2 and was able to keep up for a bit but I had to shake P3 and fell to 2.9s back. Then she got a 1.0s boundary pen. I finished 1.1 seconds behind. There was a chance....

I am done for the week as my racing psychology has seriously veered into DR grinding and I do not want to live in that place.

Cheers.
