I think we can all agree that the daily races need some improvements. So, why not collect some for PD here!?

What I would love to see is:

- 1 weekly Gr.1 race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
Track needs to be a real race track that fits the cars (no short version of Suzuka or similar).
Tire wear, damage and fuel consumption needs to be on!
Tuning on
20 laps

- 1 weekly Gr.3 race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
Tracks can vary (no short versions)
Tire wear, damage and fuel active
Tuning on
15-20 laps

- 1 daily (or 2-3 days) Gr.3 race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
Tracks can vary
No tire wear and no fuel. Damage ON!
Tuning of
10laps

- 1 daily (or 2-3 days. Actually prefer this over 1 day races) Gr.4 race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
Tracks can vary
No tire wear and no fuel. Damage ON!
Tuning on
10laps

- 1 daily sport car race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
All tracks
No tire wear and no fuel. Damage ON!
Tuning off
5laps

- 1 daily Gr.X race:
garage cars (with livery allowed)
All tracks (special tracks like Tokyo or Oval preferred)
No tire wear and no fuel. Damage off!
Tuning off
5laps

Thats what I would like to see as daily races!
I love to tune a car over the week for a certain event and get comfortable with it. The way it is now, I don't even want to bother anymore, as noone is comfortable with the cars or tracks and just misses brake points and ramming people from all angles.
With a few longer races and damage on MAX, maybe people start driving more conservative and polite.

But, what would YOU suggest as Change? Maybe PD hears us and does some more tweaking in the future (which is really necessary IMO):gtpflag:

I'd love to see a bit more variety whether that be more events per day or a greater variety in the existing events. I can't remember any events in the daily's at Bathurst or Brands, with a Gr.x vehicle or higher level Gr. N Cars. I'd be happy with your suggestions, having a little more time to work on your car and perfect your qualifying lap would be great but then I'd probably end up further down the pack as I'm pretty quick at first but don't tend to improve much...

Increase the effectiveness of slipstreaming. I know it may be less realistic but it will make overtaking easier, leading to less dirty passes.

Any time you allow suspension tuning all races should be a minimum of 10 laps and tire wear should be turned on. Also any tuning setups within the game should affect tire wear the same as they would in real life.

Many setups or tunes which drastically alter castor/ camber or toe in numbers to aid in turn in for instance will drastically shorten the usable grip life of a set of tires. This would keep the tunes within a more realistic range as a car super fast for 3 laps as it shreds its tires in a 10 lap race will not be much use to most racers.

update: I do want to clarify that I like the idea of suspension, gearing and aerodynamic tuning allowed, I just prefer to see it applied realistically as possible.

I do not think increasing slipstream effect over real would be a good change to make as well. Dirty passes need to be cleaned up by driver behavior modification not false performance which allows unrealistic passing advantages on the straights.

I'd be happy with just a full set of weekly races, N*, Gr.3, and Gr. 4, with the view to adding a Gr.1 when that class becomes available in Sport mode, all garage cars, and with tuning enabled.

That sounds like real racing with strategy. I would love that! 👍

When the default setups use huge amounts of toe as a crutch to try and add stability (check out the GT3RS), the concept of realistic and setup in GT Sport goes out of the window ;) :P

Some like fixed setup some like tuning. Why not make the daily race split with these two? Uneven hours (3 races in a row) with fixed setup and even hours with tuning allowed. Different top ten tables for each and we could see a nice comparison at the same time, we would maybe see more mixed cars at the top? Also when there's only races every second hour you would probably use it for practice and thus more clean racing. It would probably separate more serious racers and sunday cuppers too. Everybody wins
