Awesome, used to really like their stuff. All this talk of homebrewing is getting me interested in starting again. Missed having a few cases of the food stuff hiding around the house. Haven't been able to pull that with young kids, but about there now.

Good stuff. Fire up that mash tun lad! Of course you kiwis also have the added adventure open to you of turning beer into whisky legally .

We brew a Pilsner, too. It’s one of my favorite beers to drink. As @Invisigoth suggested, we like Czech malts and Saaz hops for that one.

It's what got me brewing beer. I first got into homebrew for cider, I hated beer. All the Australian beers at the time were nasty, bitter concoctions full of Cascade and Pride of Ringwood. I don't like bitter. Then one day I ventured into a home brew shop for some equipment, and the guy handed me a Continental Pilsner (fake, because it was really an ale), and I went "Hmm, I can drink this.." , then I fell down the rabbit hole .

@Invisigoth you aren't joking about the rabbit hole. I got started when someone gave me one of those cheap garbage grocery store kits. Needed equipment so went to a proper homebrew shop. Ended up buying everything to start from scratch and was hooked until I started moving all the time and just couldn't lug everything with me.

Good luck with the whiskey, had plenty of people let me try their vile stuff. I got to get my beer back in shape before i even think about whiskey.

@sturk0167 Didn't know Sierra Nevada opened a second. That explains why they were being sold as local while I was back there. I was really confused as no one in NC would ever consider California as local.

Distillation of alcohol is legal in New Zealand, however, I'm in Australia, where it's Illegal . Strange how it's legal to own a still, and just about every home brew shop in the country sells kits to distil alcohol .

I was meaning good luck with getting me to try it. I am super rusty on the home brew so could be a while before I give the liquor a go. One of the homebrew places in my town is just a back corner of a tool store, but they have all the stuff.

I can help set up a second lobby if needed but cant run it for longer than 2 hours.
Just play it by ear and see how it goes?

I don’t think the room even filled up last week, we only had 12-14 guys at any given time I believe. I think it was mainly just over the holidays when everyone had time off that we had enough guys coming out to make more than one room. Thanks for the offer though man, it’s nice to know that we have someone that can host the 2nd room if we do need it some day though.

I will have to torture you all by being in the trophy for race B unless I manage to get comfortable in something else during practice. Really had trouble adjusting my braking points. I can bring a Bunnings colored livery to represent from down here though. Haven't seen a lap of race A so I can be a good moving chicane for you guys. Hopefully I can manage glitch free.
