About what time where you going to run Suzuka? I get out of work tomorrow night around midnight ET (benefit of being the boss).

It’s usually around 11:15/11:20pm EST by the time we get to the last Bonus Race. Are you maybe able to get off a little early tomorrow? :)

Hey Fellas, I’ve been wanting to put together a weekly race night for a while now. It seems like there are a lot of regulars in the Daily Race thread who race often but don’t necessarily get the chance to race with each other or other regulars/members as often as they’d like to. So I’m proposing a once a week get together to run through the Daily Races, just for fun, no scores or week to week standings or anything like that, all skill levels welcomed. My initial thoughts were to use everyone’s Daily Q times to remove the time needed for qualifying on race night in order to get to the racing faster, I was thinking 6 races per night, 2 of each combo with the first race using everyones Daily Q time to set the grid and the second races being a Reverse grid based on the finishing order from the first race to mix things up and give everyone a better chance to have fun.

I’m still in the initial phase of getting things organized and most things are still up for debate and improvement, so if anyone has any ideas on how to make the format or experience better, I’d love to hear your ideas. Thanks for stopping in, I hope to see many of you out on the track once I get things going. I’m hoping to get it up and running in the next week or two. Have a great day everyone. :)

Edit: We are now up and running! The first few Saturdays have seen some close, clean racing and it’s been a lot of fun. Great Job Everyone!!

Now that the details/format of the races are basically finalized and working it’s time to edit this post so all new racers don’t have to search through the thread to find them.

The format for our Friday Night Daily Races is as follows, the lobby will be posted in this thread and the Daily thread on Saturday nights. The Lobby is set to friends only so we don’t get random drop ins, so if you want to participate simply send me a friend request so you’ll be able to see the lobby when it opens. All participants are welcome and all assists are allowed. Our Race C’s are not full races as in the Dailies, the Laps are Halved and Fuel/Tire wear are not used to keep things simple and cut down on overall time.

- Race Lobby Opens @ 8:30pm EST to give everyone a chance to arrive and settle in.

- Action Starts @ 9:00pm EST

- Qualifying for Race 1/A Starts, 1 Out Lap + 2 Hot Laps

- Race 1/A, Fastest First Grid.

- Race 2/A, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results

Thanks for the races @Pigems
Much fun as always, you can run kart races anytime!

My replays shared, usual tags: tpc, gtp, drwf

It was a shame about the internet tonight, so many dropped connections. Mine was fine, as were several others so I don't think it was the host connection. Combination of Corona shutdowns putting more strain on the network and some heavy storm activity in some parts of the world both today and in recent weeks. From where I'm sitting it looks like theres some unresolved storm damage issues from that hurricane two weeks back combined with the power and data damage done by today's storms in the NA midwest.

Thanks. There was one incident @ Suzuka we had I need to see again.
I had to watch it myself, that was such a busy race I can't remember half of what happened. The incident on lap two?
I got too tight on the second apex of T1 and caught some grass, was just getting sorted out and was hit from behind. I glanced at the radar & mirror and couldn't see any significant impact on the other car but was too busy trying to keep control on the grass to work out who was involved, then got Pigems on re-entering the track. As he seemed OK I continued. On watching the replay I see that the knock on effects totally ruined your whole lap and lost you four of five places, I apologise for that.

Thanks for the races @Pigems

I had been having trouble since we got the internet installed a couple days ago at the new place, and had already scheduled a tech for this morning anyways.

My issue was a bad port and some shoddy connections causing interference that my modem didn’t like. Seems as though I had a lazy install tech as it should have all been replaced anyways. :odd:

the rest of it wouldn’t surprise me though. Some people in my area went a week plus without power and since the cable/phone grid requires power to be diagnosed, they are still finding and isolating those issues.

Edit: and as always, the racing I got to do was a pleasure. Thanks gents.

Even though @Winnie847 might have given me a complex about my slow Ferrari lol

I've never had the problem I had last night in the lobby. It seemed strange that it let me practice and qual only to screw up once the race started. You said others were having problems also. Didn't @Pigems host the party chat also? Usually someone else hosts the chat. Perhaps this put extra strain on his connection. I'm not that tech savvy to know if that would have made a difference. I just thought I'd throw this out there as it's the only thing that was different then the normal DRWF.

The first bonus race looked like a lot of fun. A nice 3-way battle at the finish. I also noticed some "ahem" questionable contact between @Invisigoth and @GOTMAXPOWER, not saying anything was intentional.

I can't remember it so I'm saying it was 100% intentional and entirely @Invisigoth's fault

Thanks for the race everyone.

Messing around with ShareFactory. This is from the NBR GP race.

Onboard with what I imagine what others are listening to. Didn't included everyone as I started to forget who was who.

You can't here the Bieber banging away on my onboard, obviously faked :odd:

I'm going to have to ask what song that was because I can't figure it out. Only ones I recognized were Pigems and Chevy.

I had that problem sometime last year and it just resolved itself somehow
