Daily races without others but full lobbies

So I’m back to gt after the road Atlanta bug that wouldn’t let the races start back in the summer, either june or July. And now the races start with full 16 person lobbies but all the other cars just sit at the start until I pit and they disappear. However I can drive through them and I see others post fastest laps, also after I complete the race I’m awarded a position but there’s literally no competition, per se. so no sr lost. It’s fine I guess but I don’t feel like I’m getting any better just racing alone. Anyone know what is happening? I did delete and reload the game. Test connection quality is 88 in the green.

Thanks, this is literally the first time I’ve had this problem with this game, so I hadn’t considered it. The previous thing from the summer was affecting several people. Also I haven’t demilitarized my router or anything since SF4 came out on ps3 so this should help.

Ok, well. I don’t think it’s a connection issue. Now it’s doing the thing it was doing in the summer. Where I can’t even race at all, but I’m penalized for leaving regardless. No control, just watching my car lurching forward from start. Pretty lame! My connection is fine. Green bars at lobby screen while others have yellow. I’m about 200 m download and 9 m upload .

Also, after I quit the lobby the game stays a black screen and never reverts back to the game. Could it be that my save file is corrupted somehow?

GT lobbies are peer to peer.
There is no server but the players, so what matters is the connectivity between all participants.

Sport mode is hosted on servers, that usually should be better.

Also: Internet transfer speed is not the same as connectivity stability.

You've posted that twice, a minute apart. Was that a connection issue?

My connection is fine.
As noted in that connection issues thread to which I directed you, this is a common assumption. Unless you've taken the steps listed, it may still be the culprit.

I notice that you're posting to GTPlanet almost exclusively through a mobile data connection. You aren't trying to race with that, I hope...

None of this is directly meaningful, even even you did mean M rather than m. Bandwidth is largely irrelevant.

Try the steps in the thread I linked you to.

I’m posting from my phone not my Ps5 but it is connected to my WiFi, which is T-Mobile wireless. But, I had raced in sport mode, the weekly races, mostly race c as I like to pit , several times before that. Actually the wireless speeds I’m getting are at least 4 times faster than when I first signed up for t-mobile. I changed nothing personally before this started happening. My ps5 is using nat type 2 without me messing with it.

I will try to put it in a DMZ, if I can and post the outcome, but I was really hoping for some other type of solution. As I said this is an entirely new problem that manifested itself.

Yep. Like the very first paragraph in the Connection Issues thread says.
Also an ISP well-known for throttling P2P (like Daily Races), but try all the other stuff first.

T-Mobile wireless
There is your issue.
Mobile internet just doesnt cut it for response times (which is not transfer speeds as already mentioned).

Quit being annoying.

It really is a well known issue as you can see in this snip.
Cant help it when the ISP is the issue after all.

Like for example I simply can not play Path of Exile because this one game lags like it was played on a printer.
Like for example I buddy of mine can not play Helldivers 2, because directly after joining the game will disconnect him.

Ya’ll don’t need to fix me specifically. It’s online gran turismo I asked for help with. Quit being annoying.
This is the help. It's in a pinned thread so that you don't even need to ask, and everything you've said so far is addressed in it.

If you don't want it, stop asking and stop complaining.
