I'll never understand the logic of such a stingy in-game economy that almost seeks to annoy people more than it rewards them!

What difference does it make to PD anyway? There's no paid DLC (thank goodness!), so where is the rationale behind frustrating loyal fans with such paltry rewards?

As a single player experience, GT7 is leaving even the most loyal players like me feeling very frustrated.

It should certainly lock 6* once Level 50 is achieved. Sure, it’ll still be frustrating to get certain parts, but at least the likelihood of getting 100,000GTC every day are better odds.

3 star --> 100K - which as I've said many times should be the lowest reward the game gives and as such is barely acceptable. :)
I think same way, and as you’ve said barely…I hope this issue and the invitations for car will disappear on GT8. Its ridiculous the amount of time and effort the invites and grinding for some 10-20 mill cars the game requires.

Even the rewards on sport mode when you win a C race it’s absurdly low.

God! I’m sick and tired of the ****** tickets 🎫
Today’s 4* and I have to watch for the second time in the last 30 days how you show me the Porsche invite just to give me a stupid running part.

4 star --> crankshaft. But not just any crankshaft - it's a racing crankshaft!

The theory I've heard that to me makes some sense is that when GT7 was in development, the plan was to actually sell roulette tickets in the PS Store. You'd be able to just buy yourself a bunch of spins of the wheel, and of course a 6 star ticket would cost more than a 3 star. However, at some point probably fairly far along in the dev process it was decided that that would be problematic in terms of gambling laws and such and so instead of just binning the whole idea they basically bunged together the current weird, bloated and unneccessarily complicated reward system. But, they still wanted to sell credit packs in the store so they kept the rewards low to help drive some of that business. I find it hard to imagine anyone would actually pay 200 real dollars to buy one single car in this game but apparently whales do exist.

I should add that several of those parts were duplicates as well.

I think the roulette wheel is similar to many other things in the game. It seemed like a good idea for the first week or so spent playing the game, with no consideration for how frustrating/unrewarding/unnecessary it would be beyond that. The Collector Level, the amount of events and Menus, the invitation system, the terrible rewards for finishing online races. And many others. All easy alterations to be made now we're further into the game's lifespan, all almost certainly not even considered by anyone working at PD.

I don't mind the concept of the daily roulette wheel but when you actually do this every day and record what you get you realise how unrewarding it is.

Which is where the notion collapses. That mechanism would automatically earn the game an 18+ rating across several territories in Europe - with this being a known factor years before it launched - while others have been hemming and hawing about it for years.

One of the countries in question would be the Netherlands, which has had the requirement since 2018, and which has also had PD offices since about 2006.

It absolutely would not have come to their attention late in the process.
